  1. I've had good luck w/ Toshibas as well.... when I went to an HD TV (Toshiba 52 inch DLP) for my living room a couple of years ago, I got a Toshiba upconvert DVD model (and put my 1999 Sony 5 disc DVD player in the bedroom w/ my old Sony TV). I'm still waiting to see which becomes dominant before I get an HD or Blu-Ray DVD player.. I still have my 1997-vintage Sony VCR, Sony 5-disc CD player, Sony dual cassette deck, and Sony record player (anyone here heard of vinyl LPs?) in my home theater setup, but rarely use those types of media much anymore...
  2. A compact 4cyl and V6 rwd coupe named Formula (not G4) would be great for the Pontiac brand...and one for Chevy called Monza.
  3. Ahh..so you are going to push for more crappy Daewoos sold globally as Chevrolets... how exciting.
  4. Any older (10-20 yrs old or more) full size domestic pickup, worn, with confederate flag stickers or NRA stickers...
  5. Check Avis sales..I'm sure you can get a good deal there..(they were a big buyer of GPs).
  6. My mom has a '84 Sony Betamax...still works.. she uses it some, my folks bought a ton of movies on Beta before the VHS era.. (she a late adopter--finally got a DVD player a couple of years ago).
  7. My 8 yr old Sony 5-disc DVD player still works fine..same with my 10 yr old Sony 5-disc CD player and 10 yr old Sony VCR. I have a 10 yr old Sony reciever from my previous home theater set up that still works fine. I've never had problems with name-brand Japanese home A/V equipment.
  8. Or they would run screaming, thinking you were a serial killer..
  9. Open your mind...buy what you want...what best suits your needs. Refuse to conform.
  10. Hmmm....airy and open is good. One of the biggest complaints I've had with many cars today is poor outward visibility (some of the worst I've been in recently have been the HHR, Magnum, and 300). Big windows with plenty of visibility is a good thing.
  11. I like the design, inside and out..kind of cool and futuristic...
  12. I don't see anything wrong with it.. what I would expect--a full size SUV based off the Tundra. Such is reality.
  13. Looks like a nice car..but 272 hp is not flagship material...
  14. Wow...this has to be the first time ever that the Accord didn't make that list...no Camry either. I'd like to have seen the CTS on there, but I see it's two main competitors made the cut. Good news for the Malibu!
  15. 'Best in the World' is just marketing hype...'Best in Detroit' would be a more realistic goal for now..
  16. I like the new front end treatment...saw a couple of them up close recently...new taillights are nice also.. much better MCU than the one the 9-5 recieved, IMHO.
  17. Excelsior!
  18. Yes, but that's Holden styling...I think the few Americans that actually care about Pontiac styling want them more flashy and gaudy like the Grand Am was, or the current Grand Prix. I like the G8 styling, but it (and the late GTO) are the only Pontiacs in decades I've found interesting..
  19. The Grand Prix is history after '08...it's had a 5 year run with the current design. The G8 replaces it and the Bonneville.
  20. I can't imagine there would be much demand for a V8 in one... a V6 would make more sense...but a class-competitive interior would help the most, I think..
  21. patient
  22. I think California definitely has more value to the rest of the country than the South, for example (I could do without Texas and the Bible Belt).
  23. Well, Saturn has Red Line and Green Line...maybe Vapor is what their new Hydrogen model will be called? Or steam-powered?
  24. That fact that the board is implemented with PHP is enough to make me run screaming... (I hate PHP).
  25. I wonder if the gas mileage is due to weight? Is the bu heavier than the Accord and Camry?
