  1. Looks sweet...very sweet.. the new grille looks smaller than the regular car's grille.
  2. That's reality...about the only domestics I notice en mass in my morning commute are SUVs (lots of Jeeps, Tahoes, Explorers, Escapes, etc) and a few crew cab pickups. Otherwise, the typical commuter fare around here are import crossovers, SUVs, sedans (Accords, Camrys, Corollas, Civics, Priuses, Audis, BMWs, etc).
  3. fun, fun, fun... JC is a fun guy to watch and listen to..
  4. Those things happen...some days are stranger than others..I've had a long, very strange day myself.. (work was truly insane today).
  5. Hmmm...too strange. I love the Tori Amos cover of it, though..saw her perform it in '94..
  6. Hmmm...colorful. Probably better to save your money and put it towards a reliable car, though.
  7. Who knows...I'd love to see a BMW 3-series sized Cadillac alpha coupe and convertible...
  8. True..there is a lot of crap out there.. and anything that says 'conservative Heritage Foundation' or 'Rush Limbaugh' I immediately discount...I don't take anything from the right wingers as credible or serious.
  9. Yes...and if they ressurected the Aztek, offered it with a hybrid or fuel cell powerplant, it could be GM's answer to the Prius...it has strange futuramic styling like the Prius...hmmm...maybe the Aztek was before it's time.
  10. Interesting lyrics..never heard of the song. I'm trying to think of a significant song about my generation (X). I know 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' has been called the anthem of my generation, but I was never a big Nirvana fan.
  11. Maybe the real issue here is that Aussie kids shouldn't be eating McDonalds...eating American sh*t fast food will turn them into obese turds like American kids...
  12. Depends on how you read it...it doesn't necessarily say 9/10 of in production in 1923/24 were Fords..is the meaning that 9/10 of all cars produced up to that point Fords? (i.e. 9/10 of total production from the beginning of time until when Ford hit 10 mil? ) Who knows? That was a loooooong time ago..none of us on this board were around then..
  13. I'd say PCS plants disinformation and derives twisted pleasure from watching our reactions to his posts.
  14. Yes...even disguised, the greenhouse and overall profile looks very much like the ES.
  15. Could be... MT is not an authoritative source of rumors..
  16. Those were year-to-date numbers for Jan-Dec 06, so probably CY numbers instead of MY numbers (which would extend from fall 05 into 07)...
  17. Invalid reasoning. Opel's in 30+ countries...Pontiac's in 3... I think Pontiac has a lot of potential and I'd love to see them revived...but I think GM would terminate the brand in a heartbeat if they thought they couldn't make a sufficient ROI on it.
  18. Saab's sales are small in the US, but they still have a European market presence. Pontiac is only in NA....
  19. And Buick has some international marketshare (China, Middle East) while Pontiac is NA only... it seems the most obvious of GM's brands to cut, unfortunately.. FYI: 2006 (US? NA?) sales #s: Buick: 240k Chevy: 2.4M GMC: 480k Pontiac: 410k
  20. The wierd thing is this company has Airbus as a customer also, and 90% of the world's airlines..
  21. Cool, cool, cool... I'm working these days at a Boeing subsidiary, so I see airplane screensavers on computers in many of the cubes around mine..
  22. When I hit Avis, I'm on a corporate account, so I'm stuck at the low rent end...but when I travel for fun, I hit Hertz for a Grand Marquis, Town Car, or Mustang convertible.
  23. Well, over the previous Malibu...I don't know if the new one has hit Avis yet..
  24. True enough... but, Pontiac does provide a step up from Chevy at the Avis counter..
  25. Well..the G8 is adding plenty in '08.
