  1. True enough...I love the interior and the exterior overall...the only thing I really don't care for is the front fascia and grilles..I'd rather have the stock CTS fascia and grille.. I love the surface development of the new CTS in general...the various hard edges down the sides, the way the roof sinks into the rear quarters and the decklid shape... I think my ideal CTS-v would be a stealth version, with completely stock CTS body work(except for the hood, I suppose) and a cream full-lux w/ wood CTS interior (I don't like gray).
  2. I've never been to St. Louis, but I hear the BBQ is pretty good..will have to go sometime.
  3. Well, 1st Amendment usually is applied to public situations, though... bars are private establishments and can set whatever standards they want, I would think..
  4. Sounds like something you would hear about from the Bible Belt...
  5. That's good..AWD would just add weight.. the competition except for Audi is all RWD anyway...
  6. Hmmm...one of these, a ZR1, an Enclave and an '10 Camaro convertible would nicely fill out my win-the-lottery, all-GM dream car garage...
  7. My sister had a Liberty...I could never adjust the seat so I was comfortable--I was either looking through the top of the windshield or leaning back, arms Italian style (straight out)..(it was a base model w/o power seats)... She's looking a getting a FJ Cruiser now...
  8. Never had any problems with mine..been driving it over 7 years now..(2000)..comfortable around town, on road trips, off roading...it's a great daily driver, IMHO...good ergonomics, decent interior plastics (nicer than the current 3rd gen GCs), the good old Jeep inline 6..doesn't feel truckish like the Explorers I've driven.
  9. My Mom is too much of a Ford diehard to go to Cadillac from her Navigator, though she could probably go for an MKX. As a Grand Cherokee owner, I'll probably go for another Grand Cherokee when I replace my current one...though I like the X5, MDX, Enclave, and oddly, the Ford Edge.
  10. This sounds a lot like the ZR1 engine with a bit less power.
  11. I like the look overall, but this is one car that a front license plate will improve the looks, I think..the mesh lower grille and lower fascia shaping gives it a bit of the 'angry robot' look...I prefer the regular CTS front end design.
  12. I like the lack of a front end badge...when was the last time an automaker dared to leave off a front badge? In profile, though, the styling is pretty derivative..reminicient of BMW and '08 Accord greenhouse and door shape..
  13. I like Breckenridge..would make a great name for an SUV...I like the place also..
  14. Looking forward to seeing it in person (maybe)...love the interior.
  15. It would probably need its own Honda generator.
  16. I'm wondering how much amplication and speakers I would need with one of these...serious wattage, 7.1, maybe some MacIntosh or Marantz gear.. if I had something this big, I'd be really interested in getting great audio to go with the picture.. (since my favorite use of HDTVs is concert DVDs, more than sports or movies)....
  17. Heck, in the 80s I remember the death of RWD was also predicted (though for Chrysler and to a lesser degree, GM, that pretty much happened for over a decade..)
  18. Byd will have a RWD 350hp DOHC V8 sports sedan that will retail for $19,999. Or not.
  19. As a Ford and Jeep fan, I want to see both Ford and Chrysler survive and thrive, along with GM.
  20. No pricing info released, but 'reports have put the 150-inch version in the $100,000 range' according to another article.
  21. Cool... the nicest TV I've so far seen is my buddy Steve's Sony Qualia 70-inch (a now discontinued model)..just incredible. This is more than twice the size...can't imagine one that big..would have to have a lot of space for it.
  22. Could be..not sure right off where the M45 or GS430 fall...
  23. Wow..43 in 19 years...that's a lot of cars. I've only had 6 that were mine in 20 years (oldest was an '84), (plus one inherited and several of my folks' cars that I drove at various times).
  24. I would think they could have an exemption for commercial vehicles, so full size pickups could be sold for commercial use w/o restrictions..
