  1. It has a B-pillar and is unibody, though.
  2. I'm thinking it would be cool if Cadillac had a two-tier approach to the sports sedans, like Audi with the S and RS models...have the 'regular' V-series super sedans and then above that the VZ-series which would be the ultimate, all out psycho models..
  3. The important thing is how the weight is distributed...
  4. Heated seats are great in the winter...I'd like to have a heated steering wheel so I wouldn't have to wear gloves at startup after the car has sat out during a long cold day.. I'd like to have cooled seats and a cooled steering wheel as well.
  5. It will be interesting where the pricing ends up...from what I've read recently, the new M3 is going to be closer to $75k.
  6. The Grand Wagoneer... the Wagoneer dated to the early '60s and evolved until it's last year in '91..they still have a cult following today (lots of them being restored). GM definitely had a lead on Ford with full-size 4dr SUVs, having both the Suburban and Tahoe when Ford still had the 2dr Bronco. The 4dr compact SUV market was arguably kicked off by the XJ Cherokee in the early-mid '80s, kind of the precursor of the mid-size 4dr SUV boom that the Explorer came to dominate in the '90s.
  7. The power-to-weight ratio probably isn't bad... my diesel Escort probably weighed 2800lbs but had 52hp.
  8. Prius, definitely. I couldn't imagine the Nano getting certified for US sale (though I wouldn't be surprised if Tata doesn't have a US presence with cars within a decade..)
  9. Interesting...esp. considering Chrysler's long-standing relationship with Mitsubishi..
  10. So I've heard...Indian friends of mine have told me stories of horrific traffic conditions, riding around on scooters...they say having a driver is the best way to get around in some cities.
  11. Nahh, just paranoid..I don't trust the Government or Republicans.
  12. I wonder if they will have a luxury version badged as a Jaguar..
  13. Nice...by the way, what did you replace the diesel Merc with?
  14. To chip all resources..to keep tabs on the loyal taxpayers..
  15. I'm sure the Dept of Homeland Security is working on a plan to do it..
  16. Interesting..they've definitely diverged from the previous design..the last one looked quite a bit like the previous Passat, which I think it may have been based on..
  17. That Volgabimmer is pretty cool...they've done a couple more since then..a Volga on a 6-series convertible and a updated Gaz something, I think..
  18. Yep, we can all get chipped like dogs, and have our own personal GPS.... a company could use it to monitor the location of all resources, and send shocks to resource units that have spent to much time in the bathroom or on a smoke break.. Or the gov't could use it to arrest people that have the right profile for the potential to commit crime...the possibilities are endless!
  19. I'd love to see them do a CTS-vZR1 at some point...
  20. Not sure how far it is...but I walked from the White House to the Lincoln Memorial to the Capitol steps in one afternoon in 1996..
  21. I've wondered if I could fuel a car off solid and liquid poo...I'm quite at producing both, and the idea of making my own fuel is interesting..
  22. Yes, that's the key difference with this issue..it's not rules imposed by the bars themselves but by the local government, which makes it a sticky situation..
  23. Yes, the 880/Custom 880 was added, probably due to dealer reaction to the hideous downsized '62 Dodges....kind of similar to how the Parissienne came to US Pontiac in '83 after the Bonneville was downsized in '82. Styling wise, the '62 downsized Dodges and Plymouths were pretty ugly, IMHO, but not as awful as the '61s--esp. the '61 Plymouth looked like something out of a Godzilla movie... IMHO, Ford and GM had far nicer styling in the early '60s than Chrysler Co.
