  1. I'm not really a fan of the Viper, but it would be nice to see it stick around, it's a low volume niche model and shouldn't impact their overall CAFE rating as much as the obese Ram trucks do..
  2. I caught some footage tonight on Entertainment tonight... Beyonce looked goregous as usual...Tina Turner looked incredible (I keep forgetting she's 68). Blonde does not work for Nelly Furtado, IMHO. Since I missed the broadcast, did Springsteen or the Foo Fighters perform? They were the only nominees I was really interested in and saw that they both won some awards.. I spaced on the Grammys..I usually watch it and FF/mute the dull parts, but totally forgot it was last night and watched both movies of Grindhouse instead..
  3. Yeah, looking at those pics, because of the different angle, I'm not even sure if the front fenders are different...or the hood. This may be completely plastic fascia and lighting changes...
  4. Right..and it's not like they don't already have the FF technology...I wonder what the production cost per unit is for flex vs. regular..
  5. Having spent plenty of time in the Burgh in my youth, I get the references....the traffic can be pretty bad around there. I like Pittsburgh...it's on my short list of metro areas I'd consider living if I ever move back to the Ohio Valley.
  6. Yeah, why not 100% of gasoline-powered vehicles set up for flex fuel?
  7. I use sharbuilder.com and etrade.
  8. Hmmm..definitely easier on the eyes than the scary Wino... speaking of new artists, I have heard of Cobie Caliat, ...she's a Malibu girl that looks a lot like Jennifer Anniston..
  9. Yeah, maybe..though the 2 Viper owners I do know are graybeards north of 50..
  10. The interior looks pretty good...I assume the US spec TSX will be similar...I love how the Euro press pics show a manual rather than the obligatory automatic we see here...
  11. Who is Taylor Swift? Never heard of him/her..
  12. My current commute is about 5 miles each way, so my Grand Cherokee with it's 16-18mpg is fine...but my commute may be 25-30 miles each way in a few months, or it may be driving 20 miles to the airport Monday morning and home Thurs evening...(such is the life of a contractor). I love the big Mercs, wouldn't mind spoiling myself with one...it's just I've read so many horror stories about the maintenance costs and reliability, that I would tend to avoid one...a Lexus LS would be a better used car buy from purely the maintenance and reliability standpoint, I think..
  13. I didn't watch, recent Grammy telecasts have been unwatchable $h!e...I was glad to see Bruce Springsteen and the Foo Fighters get a few awards, though..
  14. Because the bean counters didn't give a d*mn about safety...they just wanted to get the cheapest junk on the market and maximize profit...look at the 'unsafe at any speed' Astro/Safari--they built that crap for 20+ years.
  15. True...but then again, there are so many cars I like and sort of like... I've thought about getting a 2-3 yr old Town Car for a commuter car..they are a bargain used...big and comfy, better gas mileage than my Jeep.. I know I'm about 25 years too young for one, but something about the classic American land yachts appeal to me. (I know I'm wierd...I like stuff that's ultra-modern (like the CTS) but also like retro and old-school style cars (Panthers, Mustang, Challenger, etc))
  16. Agreed..the Viper is just a novelty...Chrysler needs to invest capital in their bread and butter models.
  17. Yeah, it seems like the mid '90s to early '00s Mercs are the ones to avoid. The old '80s S-classes wear well. I like Mercs, been around my sister's old ones ('84 500SEL, '91 300CE) and know they do hold up well, but are expensive to maintain and repair as they age. Rust is a non-issue here in Colorado..
  18. Yeah, Westies are great... my sister has had 3 over the last decade. She can credit ex-husband #3 with getting her into Westies.. they are great dogs, lots of personality in a compact package.
  19. Shadow on the Sun-Audioslave
  20. Ahhh...I remember the last time I did something like that...I was 35 and at a Festivus party with my Canadian drinking buddies. It took a couple days to recover..I can't do that anymore.
  21. True...but it would have a lot more miles and dreadful M-B quality (i.e. in the shop all the time).
  22. I need to caption these pics I have of my sister's dogs... Madeline looks grumpy here.. and this one of her dogs with my Aussie terrier (far right, looking toward the camera).
  23. I was at an Acura dealer today kicking tires and they have a black on black '06 RL on the lot, 34k miles, $34k. I really like the interior design and features, and the exterior is a pretty clean, if bland design. The '05-07 would make a good used car buy for a nice luxury commuter car, I think..
  24. Speaking of multi-line GM dealers, I know of a Chevrolet Pontiac Buick Cadillac GMC dealer (they used to have Oldsmobile also when I lived in the area).
  25. I like the C30, S40, V50..all pretty sweet looking. Good friends of mine are on their third Volvo now... they've an 850 wagon, XC70 (currently have), and a last-year 240 (still have). They also have a BMW 540i and before the Volvos, had an '86 Grand Am and '91 Regal..they've been very happy with the Volvos.
