  1. The logo is kinda Oldsish..it's a stylized M in a loop... Mahindra Worldwide Mahindra is in the US currently w/ tractors, they have a big red 'M' logo: Mahindra USA Maybe they can sell the trucks through the tractor dealers, pitch them to farmers. My local TV stations have been running Mahindra tractor ads for a while, though the nearest dealers are in Lanred, Ks (328 miles) and Albuquerque, NM (348 miles).
  2. The greenhouse resembles the previous generation Camry, IMHO..
  3. It seems like they are trying currently to maintain Pontiac on the cheap.... a coupe would require $$$$ to develop one, since the G8 sedan and ute are based on existing Oz models. Pontiac definitely needs coupes....their performance history was built on coupes (Pontiac performance sedans being a recent thing)...
  4. How was the cupholder design in the Ion? My preferred design are two fixed cupholders behind the shifter ahead of the armrest..
  5. The cupholder design does seem poor though....behind the armrest? Awkward.
  6. There is an element of that..look at the bozos that use the 'Jap' epithet in their posts or fly a confederate flag (widely considered a symbol of southern racism). That's where the Republican party draws a lot of it's support, IMHO...it's the white Christian intolerance party...
  7. I had to look out the window at work today to remember where the washer nozzles are on my Jeep...on the cowl, behind the hood. The rear one is at the top of the hatch.
  8. As seen on Autoblog.. ndian automaker Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. will shake up the U.S. truck market next year when it introduces a new midsize pickup called the Appalachian sporting a 2.2L four-cylinder diesel engine producing around 150 horsepower and 300 pound feet of torque. Speaking with Mike Levine from Pickuptruck.com, John Perez, the CEO of Atlanta-based importer Global Vehicles U.S.A. that's aiding Mahindra's entry into the U.S. market, revealed that the truck will deliver 30 to 35 miles per gallon and cost in the mid-$20,000 range. It will be paired with a six-speed automatic that's controlled via a floor-mounted shifter or paddle shifters(!), have a class-leading payload of 2,600 lbs. and feature a 60,000-mile, four year bumper-to-bumper warranty. If that's not enough to strike fear in domestic and import truck makers alike, Mahindra has also revealed plans to sell a diesel hybrid version of its pickup by 2010. If it happens, the diesel hybrid Appalachian will be, as far as we know, the only diesel hybrid on sale in the U.S. market and achieve fuel economy figures even higher than its diesel-only counterpart. Imagine a midsize pickup in the low-$30,000 price range capable of 40+ mpg. The Appalachian has yet to go through U.S. certification for emissions and safety, but the company is spending $80 million to ensure its truck passes with no issues. After that, production will begin in India on March 15, 2009, but the trucks will finish assembly at a plant in Ohio to avoid high import taxes. After that, customers can visit a 300-strong dealer network with 24 standalone dealerships, one of which is already under construction. Autoblog article on Mahindra Appalachian
  9. And that is the big question with near-term GM's product line...what replaces the last W (Impala) and the Gs (Lucerne, DTS) ?
  10. Yeah... anyway, the LaCrosse/Allure is getting replaced by the Epsilon II based Regal for '10.
  11. Yes...quite nice..

  13. I wonder if Toyota has considered the Crown for the US market to replace the Avalon.
  14. I guess the kiddies don't like rolling boxes as much as Toyota thought they would.
  15. I have noticed that as well... I have a bit of sentimentality for the '80s (I'm 37), but by and large, I'm more interested in the here and now and the future, since that's where I live...I have no interest in overly immersing myself in the past (or in someone else's past, since the '60s is before my time). Part of that is due to being that I work in the tech industry where it's all about moving forward, new, new, new... too much sentimentality and living in the past is unhealthy, IMHO. I lived in the 'Rust Belt' also (Ohio Valley area, Pittsburgh and Cleveland area, then SE Michigan) and left over a decade ago... those areas seem to have been in perpetual decline for the last 30+ years, while the West has been booming and forward-looking..

    Building a 128i

That's what I like about the TL... very few options, it pretty much comes loaded...

True, they are pretty well equipped to start with... about the only extras I'd seriously want would be Homelink (my Jeep has it and I use it for my gate and garage door) and a sound system with CD player and iPod jack.

When I bought my BMW, the dealer did include floormats, but it was a certified pre-owned. My Jeep came with no mats...so I stopped at Target on the way home and picked up a couple sets (carpeted for summer, rubber grooved for winter).
  19. I never saw Journeyman...it did sound interesting, though. And I know 24 has been delayed until '09 (that I was bummed about).
  20. I wonder how the interior volume and layout compares...the HHR seems pretty small inside.
  21. Rockies tickets went on sale Saturday...I got opening day tickets w/ some friends. Looking forward to the season.
  22. What happened to the Bionic Woman revival...did it get cancelled ?
  23. Maybe...the '77, '82, and '86 Zs may still be running around Phoenix, but I doubt it...her last one, a '90 Turbo, was totalled in '92 then she moved on to a Saab, then an Acura, then Mercedes-Benz. My '96 BMW is still in fine shape, as is my daily driver '00 Jeep..

  25. Yeah, probably like Washington County....both OH & PA have those.. lots of older states probably have president-named counties dating from the 19th century..
