Nice Regal and Riviera...haven't seen one of those Regals in ages. There is a Riviera of that vintage I see occasionally around here, same color...in a driveway w/ a white Regal 4dr from around 2000 and a silver '96-99 Riviera.

That article seems primarily about Wranglers, but some is definitely applicable to my experience w/ 20 years of driving GCs...they are great all-weather vehicles, solid, and have good HVAC systems. I wouldn't say they are simple--lots of complex electronics esp. on the newer ones. And unlike Wranglers, GCs are very good on long road trips.

The grille seems like an afterthought, needs more detailing....I do like the body shape overall...has a visual lightness to the shape the 350Z and 370Z lacked, IMO...

Since this thread is about the Sonata Limited, how does all the blather about the Venue and Trailblazer and cheap low spec configs relate? Seems off topic...

My current daily is 6 yrs old, I've had it for over 3 years and it has less than 50k so far..so i won't be replacing it for a few years...I probably won't keep it past 100k because that is when everything goes no bueno w/ Jeeps in my past experience. I have thought about getting a fun second car (late model Challenger V8 or Mustang GT are two in particular I've considered)...may still do that in a few years, but with the uncertainty in the reality currently, it doesn't seem smart to spend money now. I'm going to invest in improvements to my house over the next few years...

Back around 1976, my brother had a ‘75 Mustang II Mach 1 in silver for a couple years. He traded an orange ‘74 Vega GT on it. I think it had the V6. Our Nextdoor neighbor backed her ‘72 Olds 98 into it, mashing the passenger side door and front fender when it was parked across the street. He traded it on a ‘74 Firebird Formula 400.

Even fewer can spell it correctly. That is one of the words I do misspell. I wonder how many auto mechanics can work on older pre-OBD-II vehicles.

True, but at least have a front lift option ( which the C8 has). But for a daily driver, SUV height suits me.

I’d be happy w 9 inches of ground clearance. A high H point was one of the selling points of the last gen Taurus. I remember how weirdly tall the doors were.

It looks fine to me..I like lots of ground clearance--easier to get in and out of, easier to deal w/ sloping driveways and hopping curbs, etc.

‘67 was the first year for the 400.

Beautiful ‘67 GTO. Would be a 400. I was the last-born in my family, and my sister is the middle child. We have both been the best behaved and successful, while our older brother has been a perpetual screwup since he was a teenager.

Anyway, it's all a moot point now that GM is moving to EVs. It will be interesting to see what GM's product mix and market share will be like in 2030.

Those were simple compared to what they are building today with the VVT, cylinder shut off, OHC V6s, etc. And from a different GM than what it is today. Anyway, I haven't heard about major issues w/ the 3.6..they seem to be putting it in a lot of vehicles, FWD and RWD..

Those were simple engines from a simpler time...today's engines are more complex w / lots of electronics..a lot more failure points.

Spotted a very clean '74 Monte Carlo in a triple avocado green (a color that was very popular w/ mid 70s Chevys I think) and a pink chrome late model Mustang GT convertible (probably a wrap, looked like a Spectraflame Hot Wheels car).

Wasn’t riding high in the back something people did in olden days, maybe to accommodate bigger tires? Like all the ‘lifted’ muscle cars in the 70s? I remember my brother put air shocks on his Firebird Formula 400 and GTO back then.

Speaking of good things from Canada, I've been enjoying the comedy 'Schitt's Creek' lately....also in the past have enjoyed 'Corner Gas', 'Trailer Park Boys' and 'Red Green Show'.... of course besides William Shatner, Canada is also the birth place of great actors incl. Donald Sutherland and Christopher Plummer...and a lot of music I'm a fan of...from Rush, Neil Young, Robbie Robertson, Gordon Lightfoot, to Leonard Cohen and Mylene Farmer..

Gammage Auditorium at ASU is a neat venue...been to a couple concerts there, and I worked out of an office on Mill Avenue just down the street for a couple of years.
