  1. Could work in suburbia also... if I didn't prefer SUVs, I could see having something like a Ridgeline or the upcoming Ford Maverick to haul stuff occasionally for the yard...maybe a Ranger or Colorado. I've never had a use for a typical Bloatbeast 150-350 truck..
  2. Maybe GM can engineer a US version of this Mini EV for $20k and call it the Chevy Sparky or Spark-E.
  3. I noticed the theme changed today, to a gray & white background...looks good.
  4. Sounds like this Hummer sub-brand is going to be for high end exclusive models, they have Chevy for the volume EVs like the Bolt.
  5. The cheap stuff will come from Chevy like the Bolt...
  6. Look at the prices Hummer H1 Alphas are going for, used w/ a garbage interior...this is likely superior to those old shitboxes...Hummer was never about cheap transportation...cheaply build interiors, maybe, but not prices..
  7. Saw the new pics of the Hummer EV. Looks slick. I like the T-top and targa top combo and the big frunk. https://www.autoblog.com/2020/10/20/2022-gmc-hummer-ev-reveal/
  8. Saw that in person at Scottsdale Barrett-Jackson a few years ago..its a wild thing..
  9. Yeah, it’s been a money pit the two years she’s had it, and with all that’s gone on this year, it doesn’t get driven. Wants to keep the Trax, it only has 23k.
  10. Don't think I've ever heard 'vehicle' pronounced 've-hickle'. Anyhoo, haven't seen really seen much of note this month. Went out last Saturday to drop off my ballots at the county Board of Elections--15 minute drive then a 20 min wait in line w/ other vehicles...then took a drive across Cleveland and out into the suburbs and down through Rocky River Reservation (park)..great to see the fall colors and cooler weather. My sister had her Cadillac STS detailed to get it ready to sell, I plan to take it out for a drive this afternoon...running well for now.
  11. Those square body GMs have a lot of charm...I esp. like the earlier two tones..
  12. Yeah, when I drove my sister's Trax from West Palm Beach, Fl to Cleveland, Oh this past January it was fine on a long freeway drive...I would floor it coming down freeway on-ramps and always got to 75-80....cruised fine all day at 65-70..
  13. I remember in my neighborhood in Phoenix an older Hyundai XG (predecessor to the Genesis sedan) w/ the license plate KRNBCK (Korean Buick?). Had a 'Korean War Purple Heart' license plate frame. And to throw in another angle, Hyundai has the N-sub brand for performance...--2-3 models in Europe so far, 1-2 in the US... The new Santa Fe looks quite nice inside.
  14. Interesting...I always thought Hyundai was the entry level brand and Kia a step up.. and Kia has the interesting Stinger GT...
  15. Actually, the CT4 is larger than both the 3 series and C--class...comparing the CT4 to those RWD/AWD sedans makes a lot more sense than comparing it with the FWD appliances..
  16. Sounds like the new electronics aren't from Lucas. I can only imagine the horror if Lucas had built British EV technology in the 60s..they would have spontaneously caught fire.. Speaking of MGBs, I had a coworker in the late 00s that drove a BMW Z3 (later replaced by a Porsche Boxster). He loved small convertibles...told me he had long ago driven a Corvair convertible that was replaced by an MGB...he told me he drove it in fear of rain at night...if he drove it in the rain the headlights and wipers usually would quit working.. eventually traded the MGB on a slightly more reliable Alfa Romeo spyder..
  17. I knew you'd bring that shit up...that's only in trucks. I was talking about cars... nothing to do with Ford's performance DOHC V8s in the Mustang..
  18. I was thinking specifically of Ford and Toyota. They don’t have pushrod V8s in their car lineups today...NASCAR is just about marketing for the automakers...the technology is ancient, they still have 4spd manuals and only recently got fuel injection. I can't imagine automakers get much out of NASCAR that is applicable to production vehicles..
  19. NASCAR is in it's own little world, though...their engines have little in common with real production IC engines...
  20. Hilarious...a FWD shitbox w/ BMW badging..so wrong on so many levels. Wrong for MB also...
  21. Found the C&D article..they compared the CT4-v to the BMW 235i Gran Coupe and M-B AMG A35...odd comparison. https://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/comparison-test/a34304375/2020-bmw-m235i-gran-coupe-vs-cadillac-ct4-v-mercedes-amg-a35/ The 235i Gran Coupe and A35 are both transverse engine appliances---...they should have compared against the 3 series and C-class which have the proper RWD sports sedan architecture like the CT4.
  22. Nothing in that chart indicates *which* BMW or Mercedes are being discussed, so it's kind of pointless... I like it..very subtle styling changes from the current WK2...
  23. The 2dr coupe and convertible 2 series are still RWD....the 4dr Gran Coupe is the FWD lease appliance.
  24. Yeah, seems everyone is aiming at Tesla price points...dreaming of big profits...
  25. Interesting thought...but I don't see the Olds badge compatible with a $80-170k price tag...
