  1. Spotted this in my driveway this afternoon...
  2. Sunny Feb Sunday in CLE. My Jeep still looks great at 10 yrs old and 78k miles.
  3. Nice sunny Sunday. Went to the Cleveland Auto Show. Some highlights…saw thr Cybertruck. Bigger and uglier in person than in photos. I like the S650 Mustang, though still prefer the S550 styling. The Cadillac Escalade IQ is bigger in person than in photos. Love the Lyriq rear end. I love the C8 Corvette. Sat in the blue one. The red CT5 is really calling my name. There were classics on display also, took a bunch of pics of the ‘66 Toro for my sister. She wants one, she’s wanted one since it came out and she was 9. Relaxing now at Hofbrauhaus downtown. Time flies, can’t believe March 1 is coming up. (Quarterly stock grant time). And in unrelated good news, had my annual review and got a promotion to Staff Software Engineer.
  4. I think I saw that an exec at M-B was commenting about future M-B EVs have to look like M-B cars and not look like jelly beans. I think they realize they went too far.
  5. Good film...I've seen it a couple of times. One of the actors in it--the middle aged guy w/ glasses driving the Pontiac Grand Ville--was the same stunt driver that drove the black Dodge Charger in 1968's 'Bullitt'... Yeah, I can see that...with McLaren-inspired headlights.
  6. Very interesting..I wonder also...last spring when we adopted two sibling puppies (and later a third) from a local breeder, we went to their house which was clean and spotless, the dogs beautiful....met the parent dogs and they were great, beautiful well-behaved Yorkies. The 3 pups are almost a year old now, need a grooming..got their long winter coats..here they are in my office last week under my desk along w/ senior Aussie terrier Raine.
  7. Gorgeous....I'd drive that..esp. in that dark green.
  8. It's too bad the US is so fixated on trucks, SUVs and CUVs..there are many wagons sold elsewhere that would be nice here...or wagon versions of US market sedans. I loved the looks of the CTS wagon 15 years ago, a modern CT5 wagon would be sweet...
  9. We have had a very unusual, out-of-season sunny and mild first weekend for February here in Cleveland. Got my 5.0 out for a drive yesterday on some winding, twisty hilly roads in the woods nearby. I think it's first time I've driven it in February since 2002 in Colorado. Put in Pink Floyd 'The Division Bell' CD and then Depeche Mode 'Violator' CD and felt 25 again...;) Went to the beach this morning, Lake Erie so blue...40 and sunny. Washed my Jeep, looking good for 10 years old and 78k miles.
  10. It has very awkward proportions...what an absurdly large windshield.. Reminds me of the stretched roof from the 50s Chevy pickup Big Bird was in in the Muppet Movie..
  11. And because they have changed styling so slowly (the current generation looks much the same as the Classic), they still look modern IMO..
  12. It will be interesting to compare this w/ the current one eventually. My sister loves her '23 LT, it has about 6k miles..she's had it a year now. I've driven it a fair bit, gets around just fine for a compact CUV, very comfortable on road trips.
  13. Looks good inside and out, definitely shows a family resemblance to other Chevy CUVs. Interesting that it has Car Play and Android Auto..thought GM was going to discontinue support for those to push their own crap.
  14. Definitely a 'No', Car Play is a must have for me.
  15. Had to think about it for a sec...1/20/25 is when the next President is sworn in.
  16. It's a 5.0 w/ 5-speed manual. I had a lot of fun with it in my 20s in Colorado... there are a lot more photos in the Member's Rides section--but that part of the forum seems impossible to find. Edit: here is a link to other photos I added a while back: I've been starting it once a week and backing out of the garage as the weather permits. Looking forward to summer and going for drives on the twisty backroads in nearby Geauga County. And yes, that is a crucifix..the owner of the body shop is a part-time pastor I think. Small town Ohio. Steve Gump and his team at Hill Valley Auto does great work, very reasonable rates. Newcomerstown, Ohio, about 10 miles from where my family farm was. The '69 Mustang and '67 Cougar are stored there, they are working on the '69 this winter. I'm sure you miss your Buick..served you well for a long time..have a found a new ride in Italy?
  17. My Jeep nav a couple times has made it look like I was driving in a river or parked in Lake Erie...
  18. I was looking into the Canadian market Parisiennes a while back and recall reading that they also had a Caprice based 2dr... and I think for '82 Canada got the Caprice based Parisienne like the US got for '83. I always thought it was odd that in the US for '82 they dropped the B-body Pontiacs and moved the Bonneville name to what had been the A-body LeMans sedan. Kind of a rogue move.
  19. Parisienne (the US market one from '83-86) would be a 305. It was basically a facelifted Caprice (had the Chevy-based interior, and got the Pontiac rear 81 rear clip for '85-86). The Pontiac 301 was gone after '81, last year of the B-body Catalina and Bonneville. As far as 80s GMs, I wouldn't mind having an '80-84 Buick Electra Park Avenue, '80-89 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham de' Elegance (long name!), or '80-86 Caprice as an occasional drive around car.
  20. I like that green...the R32-R34 generations were better looking cars, IMO. I love the R34 styling..
  21. Enjoying the week off...pretty quiet. Unusual late December weather for NE Ohio, was 60 on Christmas. Took the Mustang out for a spin on some of the nice back roads close by. Then soaked in the hot tub for a while. (Big meal was Christmas Eve, my sister and I went to a great local steakhouse for a big dinner, champagne, wine, etc).
  22. Speaking of actresses w/ distinctive eyes, anyone remember Meg Foster from the 70s-80s? Her eyes were very unusual...very pale blue.
  23. A friend who had been with a company for 15 years got laid off last Friday...the Friday before Xmas they laid off 300+ IT people...(a place I worked back in '10-11, a horrible vile bank w/ a sweatshop environment).
  24. Nice sunny afternoon, 56...nice for Ohio in December. Took it for about a 20 min drive at lunch today..hard to get good photos with all the shadows in the late fall.
  25. As an aside, I'd really like to have a 2nd gen Legend coupe w/ a manual. Beautiful cars..
