  1. Get Carter (great old British crime thriller w/ Michael Caine, watched it recently)
  2. Me too, there is an old car dealership near downtown Phoenix that was converted to a food hall a few years ago w/ several restaurants..very nice. Had to think a bit to remember what the name was---DeSoto Central Market..was a former DeSoto dealer...unfortunately, it's since closed.
  3. Kia does have an EV Soul...not yet in the US, though. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kia_Soul_EV
  4. The Explorer seems pretty basic for the price point as far as interior features.
  5. Really like these cars, especially in the various greens. Rarely seen.
  6. I like the current A8 and S8 from Audi.. a clean shape.
  7. '58 was pretty ghastly, IMO. My folks bought one of these new (12 years before I was born). a '58 Monterey 4dr sedan. My Mom nearly ripped off a back door backing out of the garage.. As far as old Mercurys go, I really like the late 60s-early 70s styling.
  8. I love the RS6 Avant...what a beast
  9. I do remember once getting panicky up in the mountains in Colorado when I got low on gas in my '00 GC and I was several miles from the nearest town. Since then, I avoid going below 1/2 a tank when far from home. I remember the first year I had my '00, I went driving once out towards Crested Butte on dirt roads to see some ghost towns....like 50 miles from paved roads w/ no cell signal. I did crazy stuff when I was young.
  10. That is unfortunate to hear...the Aviator is one of the few Ford products I like...I've sat in them at the auto show, and really like the interior and exterior design...
  11. I know in Arizona it seemed 75% of them were white...I see a lot here in white also...just so dull and mainstream. And white w/ black wheels and black trim seems popular. I like the gray on the Trailhawk...it was funny....when I was still living in AZ, I bought my '14 at the end of March 2017, and literally the same week, my colleague in the cubicle next to me bought a gray Trailhawk. We went out in the parking garage at lunch w/ several colleagues and were comparing our rides parked side by side...looked identical under the hood.
  12. Looks like that color is only available on the Trailhawk, SRT, and Trackhawk. Bummer...I'd like it on an Overland. If I were trading my black '14, I'd consider Velvet Red, Walnut Brown or Sangria...I like these colors and these wheels. The walnut brown is more gray than the brown they had a few years ago..there was a brown back around '16-17 that was richer. So many of these are sold in boring-ass white (I will never drive a white SUV) or black (I've grown to like black). But I generally prefer dark colors....and I don't care for black wheels and black trim.
  13. I wondered about that...I went through the configurator for several trims and couldn't find it...looks nice.
  14. Which is why Range Rovers are better to be leased, not owned...that great British quality.
  15. $125k would buy a nicely equipped Range Rover...
  16. Kind of wondered if it would be like that....from the photos I've seen, it looks like a kit car..very crude.
  17. Maybe...or a 3 yr old CPO 2021 in 2024... looking forward to seeing how the new one turns out, but I wouldn't want a first year one.
  18. Florida Man.
  19. Yes, 8 speed. They have changed very little since then. Cosmetic changes to the front, the 3.6 got vvt and stop/start in ‘16 IIRC. The main features I’d want from a newer one would be Apple Car Play and a couple features from the higher trims like the pano roof (I have the regular sunroof which is fine) and the heated/cooled seats (I have heated seats). I really can’t complain about anything w/ mine...it’s comfortable around town, on short road trips and cross country road trips...
  20. Yeah, Laredos are in that range. My current one is a Limited, my next would be an Overland or a Summit. Though another CPO makes more sense than new. But it’s all hypothetical since my ‘14 only has 49k. I really don’t see myself shopping for at least another 3-5 years.
  21. White with red rims is...different. what color was the interior?
  22. I checked out the configurator for Rivian R1S. Spec'd out a 5-seat in Forest Green w/ green interior, Adventure package. $81k... love the green interior and exterior, but if I were shopping in 2021, I'd get another Grand Cherokee for $30k less...
  23. Turned 50 this year. Overall, my health is fine..need to take off a few pounds. But after decades of living in one story homes, moving to a four story split level in 2017 has taken it's toll on my back, hips and knees...some days are fine, other days it's a world of pain....
  24. I think I'd probably really enjoy a 2dr Bronco. If I could get one in brown w/ a tan interior that would be ideal.
  25. Regular Bronco has some also, I like these..seems they come in black on the Black Diamond trim.
