  1. I even like Challengers in purple, it was 1970 after all. they look great in most colors..even like them in white (a color I normally loathe). Love the styling..early 70s styling really resonates with me. The last two are '71s, different grille. Unknown-2 I'd want one of each...the Shelby GT350R (not the GT500) would be an absolute blast on windy back roads...a '70 Challenger would be great for raw old school rumbly fun, cruising around listening to vintage tunes--put on my RayBans, put in some Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Rolling Stones, or Pink Floyd on 8-tracks...
  2. Looks like an R/T SE--the SE package added the small limo rear window and vinyl top. Love the styling of the '70 Challenger, and it looks so good in triple black w/ the steel wheels and dds...
  3. I did a walk through of the house next door after it was remodeled last year and up for sale...similar 1967 split level as mine, and it was all gray on the first floor...gray kitchen, gray flooring, dark gray cabinets, black counter tops...the Millennials seem to love that shit, it sold for $100k more than I paid for my house in 2017. I wouldn't want gray in a climate w/ a lot of gray sky days. My house is mostly off-white (eggshell) inside, w/ the kitchen in a light green and one bedroom in green w/ wall paper...I want to eventually repaint it all inside, maybe some light green outside.. it's white/light brick w/ dark green window trim currently. I like the grayish green.
  4. About the only series I've watched lately is the British art show 'Fake or Fortune?'--where art experts evaluate paintings to see if they are real or forged.... Otherwise, been watching a lot of documentaries lately--mostly art and music docs...several Beatles and Rolling Stones documentaries, a couple Bob Dylan ones, Martin Scorsese's George Harrison documentary, Scorsese's 'The Last Waltz' concert film, making of album documentaries on Pink Floyd's 'Dark Side of the Moon' and 'The Wall', a Pearl Jam documentary from a few years ago...
  5. I was on a conference call this morning--my client's CEO was doing a 'fireside chat' (literally at his house in Provo by the fireplace), and he was talking about how people would still be working mostly from home at least into Spring (they have a new office in Scottsdale but maybe 5-10% of the staff go in regularly), and someone asked if next year people would have to have the covid vaccine to work in the office...CEO said they are talking w/ their lawyers about whether they can make that a requirement, what with 'some people don't believe in vaccines' etc... Sounds like it's going to be an interesting year. Been talking to recruiters about some gigs here locally, since it seems after 6 1/2 years my current gig is winding down...
  6. I saw that Range Rover pic posted in a FB Jeep group today, thought it was funny since most of that generation of RR are probably off the road now w/ engine failure...the 00s RRs were notoriously unreliable...
  7. Randomness on a snowy day---whilst eating lunch, I was reading the local police blotter and their was a description of an incident at a local hotel parking lot that said 'shits were fired'... I had a mental image of hooligans flinging poo in a parking lot..
  8. The Challenger is the one most likely i would buy also.. I like the Charger and 300, but don't need another 4dr---the GC fulfills the comfy sedan role quite well. A Challenger with a V8 and a manual definitely would be what I would go for, preferably in F8 green. Not enough garage space right now, though.
  9. Listened to the Wheel Bearings podcast today, they had a discussion about the Mach E and an interview w/ the Ford exec that oversaw it...sounds like it has the potential to be a very good product...one thing they stressed is they can't afford a botched launch and quality gaffes like the Explorer has had...
  10. Yes, definitely slower. I’ve noticed messages on the USPS website when tracking packages about significant delays due to the Holiday package increase and COVID 19 affecting staffing. The message on the USPS website: ALERT: USPS IS EXPERIENCING UNPRECEDENTED VOLUME INCREASES AND LIMITED EMPLOYEE AVAILABILITY DUE TO THE IMPACTS OF COVID-19. WE APPRECIATE YOUR PATIENCE AND REMAIN COMMITTED TO DELIVERING THE HOLIDAYS TO YOU.
  11. I like both models, could see myself in either. I esp. like dark color choices..I like the 300 in dark blue and dark red, the Charger in F8 green or that dark purplish red in particular...
  12. I wonder how much the Ford F150 EV will weigh... 7500 lbs?
  13. ^ looks like a prop from an '80s sci fi movie...
  14. I've worn Columbia fleece for probably 20 years..love their stuff...used to shop at REI when I lived in Colorado...North Face is good for the heavy winter parka stuff particularly.
  15. AMT (long-lived model car brand)
  16. Hour meters are a neat feature. I’ve seen them on heavy trucks and tractors. The WK2 Grand Cherokee had one in ‘11-13, was dropped for ‘14.
  17. Yeah, that engine but not the name. I think offer the ESV LWB but w/ no third row--two throne buckets set back, w/ marble floor, etc, lots of customization options..
  18. How fast is your connection? I've had mixed results w/ an Orbi mesh setup... I've got good wifi for the most part except for one of the upstairs bedrooms. I've got Cox Gigblast and get good download speeds for 2 people WFH on wifi and VPNs all day...lots of Teams meetings and streaming movies...
  19. There is great food and a lot of great musicians from there...but it's an ugly, horrible state otherwise...
  20. I loathe TexASS...shithole of a state. So full of itself...
  21. My uncle Melvin and aunt Wilma were serial Buick owners. The ones I remember were a ‘73 Centurion 2dr, ‘75 Regal 2dr, ‘78 Electra, ‘81 Electra, ‘81 Riviera, ‘86 Electra, ‘87 Riviera, ‘92 Park Avenue, ‘96 Riviera, and lastly an ‘02 Park Avenue.. I’ve seen an old photo of them in the 60s with a ‘64 Wildcat. On the other hand, Wilma’s sister Alma and uncle Dave were Oldsmobile people. My uncle Paul once had a ‘48 Ford Sportsman convertible, an early Bronco, a ‘65 Mustang. He is now approaching 80 and has a late model Acura MDX...
  22. Yeah, interesting in comparing the rooflines between the C (red/white 98) and B (blue 88). The B-body 2dr has a more rounded C-pillar and rounded rear window edges..
  23. Interesting...would have thought it would have been the same as the other C-body coupes (98 and Electra). I know that the '61 C-body coupe roofline is different from the '61 B-body coupes (squarer rear pillars). I like the funky '61 4dr ht 4 window roofline also, w/ it's wrap around rear window...
  24. Interesting comparison of the changes from '61 to '62... I think I prefer the slim C-pillars and big rear glass of the '61.
  25. I remember the Caddy dealer in my neighborhood in Phoenix (Coulter) was pretty nice after their remodeling..they separated their Buick and GMC showrooms from the Cadillac showroom.
