Love the early Cougars..grew up around them, my Dad had a '67 (289) and a '68 (302), my brother a '68 XR-7 (390).

cool...I'll have to cruise by the local Ford store and see if they have any Bronco Sports the lot...

How does Area 51 look in person? It looks like a blue gray to me in photos, similar to a Toyota and Jeep color.

Was out a bit today, and along a two lane road that was well-plowed there was a bright yellow late model Camaro in a ditch on the right side of the road pointing the wrong direction...with a dusting of snow on it... must have went off yesterday or last night when it was still snowing and the roads were slippery...about 2 hrs later went back the opposite direction and it was being pulled onto a rollback wrecker...

Beautiful cars..I love the R32 also... the R34 looks great in M-Spec NUR GT-R trim in green-gold. I also like the early 70s KPGC110 'Kenmeri' generation of Skyline GT-R.

Cold out this morning, 17F. Roads plowed well. Had to go out and run errands, saw a current gen GMC Sierra longbed regular cab in a light gray blue. Decent looking, first time I’ve seen a regular cab of the current generation.

Watched a few Christmas movies over the last few days...'DIe Hard', 'Christmas Vacation', 'Fred Claus', 'Bad Santa' and 'Bad Santa II'. Found a cold, snowy Norwegian crime drama to stream today--'Wisting'..pretty good.

Sharp Mustang..love the color and the wheels. 5.0 and a manual, what's not to love? I wouldn't mind having another Mustang sometime..

Chemical Brothers 'Block Rockin' Beats'. A time and place song, driving around Centennial, Colorado in my buddy Steve's black '91 Acura NSX on a sunny April Saturday in 1998. He had just bought the car in Portland, OR and driven it back to Colorado, I went over to his house and we went for a drive in it--I drove it also..we went out 470 to Morrison and up into the foothills.. This track was playing...first mid-engine car I'd driven.. will never forget the sound of that car under acceleration and this track... anytime I hear this track, I remember that car and first day I saw and drove it..good times. I measured 6 inches of snow off the back patio earlier. Still snowing. Definitely having a white Christmas.

Had a great sunrise yesterday, got to 50 then windy and rainy overnight...snow this afternoon, going to have a white Christmas...

I'd heard of bumbershoot, it's an annual music festival in Washington..I assume Ocn has some other meaning.

Interesting car...kind of like it, not in this color combo though...looks much better in blue or red w/ red interior trim, IMO.

Great song..it's a cover of a Tom Waits track, here is the original video for the Tom Waits version.. Another train-themed song I like is Elton John's 'Runaway Train' w/ Eric Clapton on guitar...

Those Vanagon Westphalia campers are neat. I still remember looking at one in the used RV section of an RV dealer lot in Canton, Ohio in 1985 when I was with my Dad looking at Winnebagos. He ended up buying a new 33 foot Winnebago Chieftain that day. Was doing some random Google Street view and spotted this '68 Chevy panel truck and matching Chevy HHR.

I've can only think of 1/2 dozen times I've been stranded (i.e. required calling AAA for a tow) in 34 years of driving... and they were all vehicles w/ high mileage (and all coincidentally in Arizona within a 3 yr period). I have learned my lesson, though...no more high mileage vehicles, no more Arizona.

Saw a first gen red Transit Connect yesterday, heavily rusted. Rusted out rockers, rust holes in the doors and around the rear wheel arches. Haven't seen one of those in any condition in a while... Today saw a new Supra in yellow...in a similar bright yellow, saw a 1st gen Chevy Colorado 4dr pickup, lots of rust on the rear fenders, rockers and front bumper. Also saw a silver Pontiac G6 coupe..good shape. Haven't seen one of those in a while.

Those issues were like, what 10-15 years ago? GM had their long running ignition problem then also...all automakers have issues, some more than others. Anyway, banter on C&G is typical of the internet, just a lot of people blathering...none of it means anything, nothing to get stressed about (aboot?). .. just stay entertained and don't take it too seriously...peace out..

Jeep is hanging in there, pretty consistent...woo hoo! Anyway, no doubt that Toyota and Honda are pretty consistent on the short- and long- term reliability...some on here complain about Toyota and Honda probably out of xenophobia rather than any actual facts, I suspect...

Going to have to check the vintage on my water heater..it's working fine currently. I've replaced the furnace, washer and dryer since I've been here almost 4 years now. A/C was still working fine this summer, but it is a 1991 vintage unit.

Found an article about them...5 were commissioned for toting around VIPs at the '69 500. http://www.stationwagonfinder.com/2017/01/1969-cadillac-deville/

Those old bikes are charming...my brother's first motorcycle was a '68 Triumph followed by a Norton in the early 70s.
