  1. I love the Alfa Romeo Montreal...esp. the front end. Fiat had some good looking coupes in the 70s..
  2. The one Countach I didn't like was the 20th anniversary w/ the heavier cladding: I prefer the mid 80s w/ the big wing. I've read they added the wing due to customer demand after the car that appeared in Cannonball Run (which also had a front wing).
  3. A couple Dinos and a Maserati Ghibli.. I love the Countach, was one of the 80s exotics I lusted after as a teenager, along w/ the Ferrari Testarossa. While not necessarily classically 'beautiful', they were bold and brutal. I like the 308 and 328 as well...
  4. Iso Grifos, Bizzarini 5300 GT, and Ferrari Lusso....some sensuous '60s Italians..
  5. The Miura may be my favorite Lamborghini as far as styling. The modern Lambos don’t really do anything for me.
  6. Don’t think I’ve ever seen ‘wheel torque’ as a spec or comparison point before.
  7. I definitely want to have at least one more V8. My V8 experience is pretty dated---'80s Ford 5.0s, '80s M-B 5.0, and '00s Cadillac Northstar. Definitely would like to have a modern Hemi or Ford Coyote in my life.
  8. Circa 1975 my older brother had a white '59 T-bird w/a red interior..I was 5, enjoyed riding in it...I remember all the chrome inside. Being an OSU alum, he repainted it gray.
  9. Of the late 50s-early 60s over the top fins and excess gorp era, I find the Chrysler 300 to be one of the most tasteful. 1957 and 1960 below. Though my personal old car interests gravitate towards late 60s, early 70s, and mid 80s much more sothan the 50s.
  10. I like the Mopar fuselage styling (much more than the finny Forward Look Mopies). And I like late 60s-early 70s Ford/Lincoln/Mercury styling. But 'beauty' is definitely in the eye of the beholder...
  11. It's going to be really interesting to see what the EV and ICE market looks like in 5 - 10 years. Not sure what I will be driving in 5 years, or 10 years.
  12. Had some ham, biscuits and gravy, and Cadbury eggs...
  13. 184, smaller mid size. Think Grand Cherokee from 15-20 years ago size (the WJ was 181 and the WK was 186ish. ). The Hummer H3 was 188. Or for a current GM reference, it sounds like it’s about the same length as the current Equinox but over a foot wider. Though I wonder if that is body width or includes mirrors.
  14. Will be interesting to see how it compares to the Rivian.
  15. So you trading the Silverado on the Sierra or keeping it for a winter beater?
  16. ^Salt Fork—about 20 miles from my family farm. Used to go there often as a kid. Pretty area.
  17. I saw a lot of cars that looked like that when I lived in the Southwest ..oxidized paint, black trim faded to whitish gray, no rust,]very tired and worn out looking, yet still running...
  18. Interesting story I saw the other day out of NM....15,000 bees in a Buick Century at a grocery. One thing that wasn't mentioned in the article was when they thought the bees got in...did it happen spontaneously while the owner was in the grocery, or had they been driving around for a while w/ a bee hive growing in the car? https://www.autoblog.com/2021/04/01/bee-hive-overtakes-car-buick-century/
  19. Going to be interesting to see if an annual Covid shot will become routine like an annual flu shot has been for many years.
  20. I had my first Pfizer shot on March 22. Had registered online w/ the local hospital chains, Walgreens, and CVS to see when I could get an appointment...University Hospitals came through first once I was eligible. Had an 8 am appointment, first group of the day at a local hospital. They were pretty efficient, from queuing up, to the registration, to the actual shot and the post shot wait w/ a 15 min timer I was in and out in around 35 minutes. I ended up going there twice that day---my sister's appointment was at 5:45 at the same hospital, and she wanted me along as her emotional support sibling. Only a little shoulder pain that evening. The next two nights I had bouts of insomnia and only got about 3-4 hrs of sleep, so ended up feeling washed out and weak the following days..took a half day off from WFH and slept. Got shot #2 scheduled for April 12th. Haven't changed my behavior, not going to eat out at crowded bars and restaurants....I guess at 50 I'm not much of a risk-taker anymore. Staying at home indefinitely works for me now, though I do miss going to concerts, museums, restaurants, etc and other things I did in the before time....with Spring here (though not today--snowy and 32F), I do look forward to getting out for walks and hikes in the metro parks and nearby Cuyahoga Valley National Park soon...
  21. I got the 1st shot of Pfizer, and other than a sore shoulder I was fine the first day. But then I had insomnia the next two nights and was pretty exhausted and fuzzy the following days. Not sure if was from my insomnia or a drug interaction w/ my regular prescription sleep meds.
  22. Yeah, really haven't been leaving the house except for the occasional vet appointment or to get takeout. Still doing Doordash/Grubhub, Instacart for groceries, and Amazon Prime for everything else.... went and got my first vaccine shot last week, had to drive to a hospital in another suburb..seemed so odd to be driving in morning rush hour traffic..
  23. Yeah, 4 years of WFH incl. a year of CV staying home has resulted in the miles accumulating slowly... went to the beach and put about 50 miles on it last Saturday, which was the most in a while...
  24. March 31st made 4 years since I bought this Jeep w/ 25k miles. April 1st was the first road trip I took, from Phoenix up to Prescott and back down through the mountains to Wickenburg then back to Phoenix. I took this pic somewhere south of Prescott. It's been trouble free for 4 years and an additional 25k miles. May the next 4 years be uneventful.
