  1. Getting 2nd shot next Monday. Looking forward to some sort of normalcy eventually--going to concerts, restaurants, museums..really looking forward to getting on the ferry out to the islands this Spring..
  2. Yeah, it's hard to take seriously a guy that thinks the '59 Cadillac as a the pinnacle of design calling a Countach 'cartoonish'....the '59 Cadillac was totally cartoonish! Even in the black & white world.
  3. I love me some Tina, and there is a great story about that last song and F1 great Ayrton Senna...
  4. Good riddance.
  5. The 70s and 80s had a lot of awkward bumpers due to supporting bumper laws in various jurisdictions.. A lot of the older Italian sports cars (and British) had interiors that looked like kit cars, not designed but with random parts from other cars stuck on wood panels. Probably due to budgetary constraints...
  6. I don't think I've ever seen the Miura described as 'bland'. C'mon, just admit to being a xenophobe about cars...we all know it.
  7. I saw a Montreal in Scottsdale a few years ago...they look great in person..really like the front end...
  8. Cleveland is pretty bad in places also...
  9. I love the Alfa Romeo Montreal...esp. the front end. Fiat had some good looking coupes in the 70s..
  10. The one Countach I didn't like was the 20th anniversary w/ the heavier cladding: I prefer the mid 80s w/ the big wing. I've read they added the wing due to customer demand after the car that appeared in Cannonball Run (which also had a front wing).
  11. A couple Dinos and a Maserati Ghibli.. I love the Countach, was one of the 80s exotics I lusted after as a teenager, along w/ the Ferrari Testarossa. While not necessarily classically 'beautiful', they were bold and brutal. I like the 308 and 328 as well...
  12. Iso Grifos, Bizzarini 5300 GT, and Ferrari Lusso....some sensuous '60s Italians..
  13. The Miura may be my favorite Lamborghini as far as styling. The modern Lambos don’t really do anything for me.
  14. Don’t think I’ve ever seen ‘wheel torque’ as a spec or comparison point before.
  15. I definitely want to have at least one more V8. My V8 experience is pretty dated---'80s Ford 5.0s, '80s M-B 5.0, and '00s Cadillac Northstar. Definitely would like to have a modern Hemi or Ford Coyote in my life.
  16. Circa 1975 my older brother had a white '59 T-bird w/a red interior..I was 5, enjoyed riding in it...I remember all the chrome inside. Being an OSU alum, he repainted it gray.
  17. Of the late 50s-early 60s over the top fins and excess gorp era, I find the Chrysler 300 to be one of the most tasteful. 1957 and 1960 below. Though my personal old car interests gravitate towards late 60s, early 70s, and mid 80s much more sothan the 50s.
  18. I like the Mopar fuselage styling (much more than the finny Forward Look Mopies). And I like late 60s-early 70s Ford/Lincoln/Mercury styling. But 'beauty' is definitely in the eye of the beholder...
  19. It's going to be really interesting to see what the EV and ICE market looks like in 5 - 10 years. Not sure what I will be driving in 5 years, or 10 years.
  20. Had some ham, biscuits and gravy, and Cadbury eggs...
  21. 184, smaller mid size. Think Grand Cherokee from 15-20 years ago size (the WJ was 181 and the WK was 186ish. ). The Hummer H3 was 188. Or for a current GM reference, it sounds like it’s about the same length as the current Equinox but over a foot wider. Though I wonder if that is body width or includes mirrors.
  22. Will be interesting to see how it compares to the Rivian.
  23. So you trading the Silverado on the Sierra or keeping it for a winter beater?
  24. ^Salt Fork—about 20 miles from my family farm. Used to go there often as a kid. Pretty area.
