  1. Yeah, crazy weather up here also. I think Cleveland broke records this week, first snow after April 20th w/ more than 2 inches since 2005, 1974 before that. Unusual...supposed to warm up, though, over 80 a day or two next week.
  2. I like the rear. The taillight treatment is something new and different, not the same’ol, same’ol CUV rear....they are taking chances with the styling front and rear..
  3. Can they sell it out from under you if someone offers them more than sticker?
  4. I get it...I did a lot of mountain biking at 6000-8000ft in the Colorado Springs area in my late 20s and early 30s. Rocky dirt trails with lots of up and down hills. Had a 21 speed Specialized. 20 years later, I don't think I could do that now. Not remotely...my knees ache just living in a split level house with stairs. And I'm carrying around an extra 50 pounds than then. I could see an E-Bike working for me.
  5. I love some James Brown...been listening to a lot of Prince, yesterday was the 5th anniversary of his death..
  6. Ginny and Henry got their short haircuts for Spring.....Ginny (left) yesterday, and Henry two weeks ago (right). My groomers are slammed currently, can only get appointments two weeks out.
  7. A lot of the snow melted yesterday, but overnight got a bunch of fresh snow and ice. Sunny, icy and cold this morning--supposed to get to 45 today, so will get melty....the big dogs out enjoying the yard earlier:
  8. ^ Lol... regarding the Bolt and this concept, if I ever post on here that I've traded my Jeep on one of these or another generic appliance CUV, you will know it's not really me--that I've been lobotomized and am now a zombie.
  9. It definitely looks more normal and less potato-like than the Bolt.
  10. It's quite striking... I like the styling inside and out.
  11. ^ 'Carolina Squat' is what I've heard it called. The people doing it probably don't know about how that kind of stance was used in the 60s for the Gasser drag look.
  12. Quite good...I see quite a few people in the park on bikes. I've thought about getting a bicycle again and getting out and about.
  13. Sounds like I'm the target customer...I like the Rails-to-Trails paths here in Cuyahoga Valley National Park and other parks around the metro area. And off roading for me is pulling my Jeep into gravel parking lots near some of these trails...heh heh...
  14. ^ the side profile is very much like the Fusion. I haven't read anything about Ford's plans for Europe, are they getting a new Mondeo? Thought I saw something about a while back about a CUV-ish wagon version of the Mondeo/Fusion for the US (?) and Europe eventually.. Edit: Found this rendering of a future Mondeo wagon...and a disguised prototype.
  15. Not used to snow in late April in Ohio...
  16. I'm very much a science and technology guy, and I'm pretty sure space launches and the moon missions, etc have all happened. But being cynical, I've never seen much point in going to space (beyond launching satellites).. seems like a big money pit...billions and billons of $$$ wasted that could be put to better use to improving life on Earth, IMO. I don't see the value in spreading the scourge of humanity into the solar system, humanity will destroy itself here eventually...better to contain the destruction wrought by humans to Earth.
  17. I wouldn't mind if he goes to Mars (on his dime) and stays there.
  18. Looking at the Mars video, I can see it is actually uglier than Arizona. It’s a vile desert wasteland.
  19. This sweet Elton John/Eric Clapton track was played over the closing credits of 'Lethal Weapon 3'...
  20. Watched 'Lethal Weapon 3' tonight, hadn't seen it ages..not as good as the first two, too much Joe Pesci (who drove a red Allante in it). Couple good chase scenes, and there was a blue '69 Coronet w/ a six pack hood, a red '69 Chevelle, red '91-92 Mustang GT convertible, various Porsches and M-Bs...best scene as far as cars was a scene in a garage with a tubbed '56 Chevy and a wild chop top Chevy Nomad with a blown engine sticking out the rear window...googling turned up pics of it, apparently it was this car:
  21. Saw an unusual new Silverado today---a dark gray regular cab longbed 4x4, with small wheels and tires...didn't realize they were building regular cabs anymore. Not sure of the trim level, but it had chrome bumpers, black steel wheels w/ chromey hubcaps. Had some sort of badging on the front fenders, couldn't see the front end.
  22. Sounds like Florida Man has competition from Arizona Man. https://www.autoblog.com/2021/04/19/tire-slasher-severed-finger/?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly9sb2dpbi5hb2wuY29tLw&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAHzMi2wUT6KgcDo3NIyYGv0qlF96qoOy0uo2vwzWgS1dbZMEqIgD37BlAnnufs_Tt5nvo6JNsqHxWc74nRK0cn8ltsZWb-dZQEn-aM-D5pOAhzNJ77uTpQYq8o-2hdeOCVBj4DztU5wL0YXg0g3TQW1Ww1HeTbNUWAeSWMVSQItI
  23. Speaking of GM CUV quarter windows, I recall sitting in a Terrain at the auto show last year, the quarter window was but a small rectangle, reminded me of an opera window on a '70s personal luxury coupe. With the thick pillars and small quarter windows on any modern CUV or SUV, a back up camera and large side mirrors are quite useful. Though in my Jeep, I still find myself doing the over the right shoulder look back when merging on one local freeway where a ramp from another freeway merges from the left and I have to immediately cross 3 lanes to traffic to get to my exit. Terrain:
  24. Back when I was into bicycling, I used a hitch mount bike rack on my WJ GC. Worked great.
  25. Just watched 'Lethal Weapon 2', haven't seen it in ages---more Oldsmobiles, and the great scene w/ Mel Gibson in a GMC 3500 extended cab dually pulling down a stilt house...
