  1. If you ignore the Mediterranean, it looks kind of southwestern deserty.
  2. Just comparing it to a typical midsize number. Would have thought full size numbers would have been more. But full sizers do have wider consoles and wider bodies, but not much wider seats, apparently. I wonder what vehicle on the market has the most hip room with bucket seats…
  3. That sounds more midsize in hip room...my WK2 Grand Cherokee is 57" for front hip room (with a console).
  4. Between Sat and Sun I saw 11 or 12…Ashtabula County has 19, over 100 across Ohio. I did see a red one and a short one (18 ft span). The woodwork inside this bridge reminded me of a leaf spring upside down. I think @A Horse With No Namewould appreciate the craftsmanship of these bridges.
  5. Didn't get that far south....was in Geneva, Jefferson, Ashtabula, Conneaut...along I-90 and maybe 20 miles south of I-90 and north of I-90 to the coast...
  6. Another day, another 6 covered bridges on the tour. Saw 5 yesterday. This sharp Porsche 996 Turbo cab was on the tour, and one road between two bridges was a gravel/dirt road with many mud filled potholes. The couple in the Porsche were going slowly down that road, I was behind them. I love the craftsmanship of these bridges, esp the 19th century ones. Finished off the weekend with a couple beach stops. I love fall in NE Ohio.
  7. Weird. My last couple of posts are in the September thread when really it is October. I guess when posting from my phone I didn't notice the month, just saw 'Spotter' in the thread title...my bad.
  8. Took a little road trip up to Ashtabula County, home to 19 covered bridges. Saw 5 of them. Scenic driving, saw a sharp white w/ orange interior ‘69 Camaro Indy Pace Car replica, with the orange stripes and door graphics. Saw a sharp bright red C8, and a sharp dark blue C7 Gran Sport. Also saw a very clean black ‘71 Buick Electra 4dr ht. Also saw a new Wagoneer in black on the freeway, huge and blocky.
  9. Came out of the hardware store this morning and a black Tesla Model Y was parked next to me, w a temporary tag. The couple with it were befuddled because it wasn't letting them in. The guy kept waving his hand over the door handle, but it wouldn't pop out...he was muttering that it didn't recognize him yet, while the woman was fiddling w/ her phone. I just shook my head and laughed...
  10. Last time I was at my CJRD dealer, they had 3 Ram TRXes that had been delivered that morning...they had all been pre-sold. (Probably all crashed by now).
  11. Alan Parsons (Alan Parsons Project--Games People Play)
  12. A variation of the slogan of the biggest glass repair chainin the States...'Safelite repair, Safelite replace'...
  13. It's going to be interesting how the Silverado EV compares to the Ford F150 Lightning.... I assume it won't be strictly a $75-100k luxotruck...
  14. Oh, I know... I don't care...not my niche. I wonder if this is an option on the Silverado EV...making something like that standard is just an excuse to push up the price.
  15. It's also an EV thing... manufacturers seem to think an EV has to be different and offer fancy features you don't see on normal vehicles, like the stupid door handles on the Mach-E, etc. I like panoramic sunroofs w/ an opening section and sliding shades, but don't see the point of a huge glass roof in a truck. It's a truck, not a luxury car.
  16. That's assuming these were already sold to consumers and not just dealer inventory...
  17. 'handsome' might be a better term for the truck..
  18. I'm sure the insurance will cover the losses and GM will build more.
  19. There is no set definition of beauty, it's objective and in the eye of the beholder. Some vehicles may be beautiful to some and not to others.
  20. Not sure why they would need the terrarium feature, maybe so the A/C runs more and depletes the battery faster? Also helps push up the price.
  21. Been busy the last week, wrapping up a project at work and starting a new project. I did watch the reveal last week of the new '22 2-row WL Jeep Grand Cherokee and Grand Cherokee 4xe hybrid. Looks good, definitely evolutionary from the WK2 and basically a shorter version of the L with shorter wheelbase and less rear overhang. Same interior sans 3rd row. I like it, looking forward to seeing it in person and test driving one eventually. I've seen a few of the 3 row Ls out and about, not up close though. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a37774950/2022-jeep-grand-cherokee-revealed/
  22. I got a few of the AW square bodies back in the summer...incl. the green 4x4...will have to dig them out and post a pic.
  23. It's 2 inches longer than the Trax and over a foot shorter than the Equinox...I'm thinking they need something with a normal CUV form factor, not potato shaped... From what I've heard, Chevy will be getting a larger EUV, one that is Lyriq sized (Lyriq is between the Nox and Travy in size). Buick and GMC likely will as well, in typical GM fashion.
  24. Chevy needs an ECUV in the Equinox size range at a reasonable price...the Bolt is too tiny.
  25. The rear bumper on that Seville looks like it's been pulled in tighter than normal. Always liked the long hood/short front overhang and squared off roofline of these...definitely see styling cues that appeared on other GM models later...the rear reminds me of a smaller version of the early 80s Olds 88..
