  1. I do remember working at a couple of small companies that had pot at company parties and at one place the CEO had a bong in his office...but that was in Colorado nearly 20 years ago...Colorado is an interesting place... Weird factoid, Elon Musk and I have the same birthday, but I'm a year older. Also same birthday as John Cusack, John Elway..
  2. Beer is legal in most of the US, though, weed only in a few states (and still not legal federally). Given the levels of stress he probably deals with running 3 companies and working 150hrs/week I could understand taking something to relax. I don't know he does it, would think he'd have had a heart attack by now...
  3. Cool...more sports cars, more 2drs is a good thing...too many damn FWD CUV appliances coming out..
  4. Those first two pics were an actual Charger concept car from 20 years ago, the 2nd pics are some randos idea, not anything FCA.
  5. Always liked the big Audis.
  6. I've seen that pic..it's delicious...love the squared roofline and decklid..would like to see clearly defined forms like that return...
  7. Now that is exclusivity. The S-class, 7-series, etc can't touch that volume. The Horch would be Horchtastic. Maybe brand it the Horchata in Spanish-speaking countries.
  8. They look like a tablet glued to the dash. I prefer the integrated screens like FCA vehicles have with UConnect. These look much better--integrated into the dash rather than sticking up.
  9. Quarter mile doesn't have real-world applicability, though since it (usually) involves going beyond posted speed limits. 0-60 has more real world applicability. How fast a car goes down a drag strip (or around a track like the Nurburgring ) has no applicability to reality in the US w/ it's low speed limits.
  10. Yeah, doesn't even have a Hoffmeister kink, which the Q50, Jag XE and Alfa Romeo Guilia have...their greenhouses definitely have a BMW resemblance in profile. About the only of it's competitors does the G70 has a similar rear door trailing upper edge to is the Lexus IS--the IS has a pointier C-curve, the G70 is softer. The G70 front does has a resemblance to Audi, but differs in the details.
  11. Understandable, though...0-60 has the been a standard measurement of performance by journos and in advertising for what, 6 decades or more? Simple measurement of acceleration...quarter mile time might be relevant to people that actually drag race on racetracks, but 0-60 has real-world applicability, such as freeway ramp light-to-merge speed acceleration...
  12. It has 4 doors and 4 tires and RWD proportions, hence the resemblance..
  13. Coming out of my neighborhood this afternoon, saw an orange and black two tone '70-72 Nova with a huge chrome blower & scoop, no hood, narrow tires up front, huge rear tires w/ tubbed wheel wells, wheelie bars and a parachute on the rear...full on Pro Street style, very loud. In the airport parking garage, saw a Volvo XC40 for the first time--very sharp and substantial looking up close for a compact CUV...white w/ black roof, red seats, dark window tint and Florida plates.
  14. Looks pretty grim in there...no wood trim either.
  15. The rear of some finny '50s concept car?
  16. Nope.
  17. Airborne Toxic Event --Sometime Around Midnight Mumford And Sons -- Believe Richard Ashcroft - Hold On
  18. Speaking of Caddy, saw an XTS hearse today...
  19. Got these in the mail today from Japan. Tomica Escalade stretch limo and Camaro ZL1.
  20. Nice cool, cloudy day..felt really like fall today. Saw a rusty dented white Pontiac G8, a white Vibe, and a dark green G6 convertible...all within about a mile in Parma. Saw another Tesla Model 3, also in black on the freeway driven by a young woman who was looking at the huge touchscreen rather than the road.. Went downtown, and came out of the West Side Market and saw this clean black Riviera parked next to my Jeep. And a pic of myself, enjoying being out..away from my virtual cubicle (work has been very busy the last 3 weeks--3 weeks @55-60hrs/week).
  21. It's desperation, they are pretty far behind in the EV game, trying to get something out there that is distinctive...
  22. The proportions are quite different...the CLA has a short a-pillar to front axle distance, indicative of the weak FWD/transverse engine platform, while the G70 has a proper RWD platform w/ the longer a-pillar to front axle distance..
  23. The G70 is on the same platform as the Stinger, isn't it? Thought I read that somewhere. I like the interior..
  24. Yes, just lease appliances....
  25. Because those are just entry level novelties? M-Bs serious SUVs (GLE, GLS, and G) aren't based on transverse engine FWD platforms... (Of course, that is a distinction lost on the indifferent consumers that lease these things, only enthusiasts care if something is transverse FWD or RWD).
