  1. And it's 2500 sq ft on the first floor, and 2300+ sq ft in the finished basement. Would be fun to set up a home theatre and hobby room down there.. I'd go for more MCM looking front doors in orange or red, with little rectangular windows set in...(which is what I'm thinking of for a new front door for my current house...my current front door is very generic).
  2. Well, they already have several Euro sedans in their line...the Fiesta, Focus, the Fusion/Mondeo, and the current Taurus is on a old Volvo-derived platform.
  3. Yeah, not a fan of the kitchen, but I love the location on a bluff overlooking the river and woods...and all the glass..enough room to build another garage also.
  4. My kitchen looks like it was remodeled maybe 15 years ago. it's cherry wood w/ beige corian beigish countertops, stainless steel appliances. It's ok, don't plan on remodeling anytime soon, other than replacing the light fixtures and adding a disposal. In keeping w/ the randomness, whilst browsing Trulia I found this home nearby that I absolutely love...great location, views, layout. https://www.trulia.com/p/oh/moreland-hills/120-skyline-dr-moreland-hills-oh-44022--2045327133
  5. Replacing one largish fwd sedan with another largish fwd sedan, seems straightforward enough. And there have been Fords rebadged as VWs and VWs rebadged as Fords in S America, so not a new concept...
  6. Maybe Ford could get a badge-engineered Taurus from the new Arteon.
  7. I think we are past white kitchens, gray or black ones are in now. I'm not really a fan of gray ones either.
  8. Kind of like that Corvette that was totaled for a small frame crack that was unreachable or something. A little JB Weld and duct tape and it'll be fine..;)
  9. I generally don't like white vehicles, only thing white I dislike more are white kitchens. But a few cars look great in white, IMO...like vintage or modern Shelby Mustangs in white w/ blue stripes, or Porsche 911 RSes in white w/ red or green stripes and wheels.
  10. Those had white trim, though..not black plastic crud. The work trucks of 40-50 years ago look much better than this pig, IMO. That doesn't look bad... the white w/ white trim doesn't look good to me, but I don't like most anything in white. White w/ black trim and black wheels looks revolting to me, but some people like it.
  11. I'm sure they won't lose money on the 8 series..remember, this is a global product, not just dependent on US sales.
  12. And this just looks ghastly to me...white paint w/ all that black plastic up front...I know, though, it's just a fleet truck for business and not consumer use so they had to cheapass the trim. But still, so ugly.. about as hideous as the fleet level Ford Super Dutys and E-series vans from 10 years ago.
  13. Anyone but the Patriots... I'm a longtime Browns fan, though was a Steelers fan as a kid, still like them. Also like the Packers and Broncos (long time Broncos fan). Never got into the Cardinals though they were my local team for a while... Ram looks the best to me, less obese looking than the others. Only improvements I'd make to the Ram would be smaller grille lettering and better integration of the tow hooks.
  14. Speaking of the CT6, saw a dark gray one in the parking lot at Best Buy Saturday. Very sharp, it was an '18 w/ a temporary tag.
  15. A V8 luxury convertible is certainly more interesting than another boring CUV. BMW already has the CUV and SUV market well covered, they need a few coupes and convertibles. Given it's size, styling and V8 performance, think of the 8 as a German luxury Mustang..
  16. eclat is an existing brand in BMX bike aftermarket, it looks like. Wasn't it also a '70s Lotus (the fastback version of the Elite?). As far as the original post, some interesting ideas. I do think a national standard/initiative would be good. Having a different set of standards in different states isn't good, it should be standardized for all states, IMO.
  17. I haven't read it..been out enjoying the fall weather and shopping for appliances this weekend. But I will read it.
  18. Per Car & Driver, the Model S passenger volume is 94 cubic ft. Pretty f'd up that the smaller model is slightly bigger inside.
  19. The Model S has virtually the same legroom numbers as the Model 3....F 42.7 in, R 35.4 in. More shoulder room, probably.
  20. Car choices in families can be interesting...many couples I know each buy their own cars...often very different products from different manufacturers..and they never drive each other's vehicle unless it's in the shop. My folks were old school, my Dad would buy cars for my Mom--usually Ford or Mercury personal luxury coupes, and a big sedan (Mercury or Lincoln) and a fun car for himself. My sister with each of her 3 husbands always bought her own cars. It was funny, with husband #2 they had the same color, make and model--both drove gray '85 Nissan 300ZXes when they met.
  21. Amazing to realize that the only US brand compact mainstream fwd sedans left are from Chevy.
  22. M-B vans are up 16% year to date over last year, and up 71% in Oct 18 compared to Oct 17.
  23. Yeah, given how much he likes EVs you would think he would have one for himself. For most couples I know, each spouse has a vehicle that pretty much only they drive.
  24. Correct..the new generation of Focus won't be sold here, as part of Ford's 'kill-all-cars-except-for-Mustang' US strategy for failure..
  25. 400hp, 470ft/lbs torque...RWD. I'm sure it drives great..no Camry or Corolla would drive like that..
