  1. Way cool...like the flying shots.
  2. Here's a radical idea..maybe some of the automakers with 4 dr coupes will do 2dr versions of them! That would be a game changer, like an Audi A7 2dr coupe or Mercedes CLS 2dr...
  3. Good question...I haven't heard anything concrete about future FCA products beyond MY 2019. From what I've read on Jeep forums, for instance, the next Grand Cherokee (WL) has been delayed until 2021. Maybe the next gen of Charger has been delayed also. Seems like 2020 will probably just be a carryover since 2019 is here already...
  4. Speaking of 2WD motorcycles, I remember reading about one a long time ago called the Rokon Ranger or similar...really rugged for off road...one Car & Driver article claimed it could climb trees...
  5. How many miles you have now? My old Jeep started really feeling it's age above 150k miles. The power windows and locks would randomly work, the airbag light would come on when I turned left, power mirrors quit..
  6. Speaking of 'off' settings on switches, one thing annoying w/ my Jeep is the radio has no on/off button. You can turn the volume all the way down to effectively mute it, but there is no off.
  7. Interesting..odd to hear of automatic without normal off also. I think my sister's STS and Trax have automatic w/ regular off also. My old Jeep had automatic and off settings also, I quit using the automatic setting after they started coming on randomly when parked. I've been using the automatic setting on my newer Jeep, and have the DRLs enabled as well. Get enough cloudy weather I like having them on.
  8. Automatic lights are a setting, though. My Jeep has automatic lights, but if I have the light switch in the off position then they work like old school lights and you have to turn them on and off. (automatic is a separate position from off).
  9. It was pretty soft..was a 2006 IIRC.
  10. I rented many Town Cars over the years...when on vacation in So Cal or back in Ohio visiting my Mom. Rented many Grand Marquis, Dodge Intrepids, Chrysler 300s (Ms and Cs), etc...always liked getting the big cars. I once rented a Town Car in LA and had a fun drive up twisty Angeles Crest Highway...
  11. At least he didn't rent a Versa or Sentra.. I still remember my first car rental...'95 Olds Ciera, in Washington DC...was down there in April 95 for a brief vacation from grad school.
  12. Was in the drive thru at Dunkin Donuts this morning, behind a Ford Ecosport. Studying the rear, I realized the portion of the right taillight on the rear door has a door handle built into it... the rear door is side hinged like the old Rav4 on these, i think. But behind me was a more interesting car--a maroon w/ white top early 80s Olds 98 4dr...appeared solid.
  13. No reason to leave. The US is one of their biggest markets and they have many employees here.
  14. I'll be 50 in about 20 months. Got to work on getting fit. I'm really physically feeling my age.
  15. The Yaris sedan is a Mazda 2 variant, and the hatch is a Toyota-origin model. I think.
  16. H-D realizes they have to evolve if they are going to survive long term. Their current nostalgia focused product is appealing to a smaller and smaller base of customers and not bringing in younger buyers.
  17. Nah, G-wagens are for going to Dairy Queen in Scottsdale. (True story--I was in the Dairy Queen drive thru in Scottsdale a few years ago---G-wagen AMG in front of me, one behind me with an SL AMG behind it...)
  18. I did see a couple GLS diesels w/ trailers.
  19. When I was at Porsche Rennsport Reunion at Laguna Seca in 2011 and 2014 I recall many of the racecar haulers being Suburbans and Escalades. Same thing at the San Diego Coronado Festival of Speed (those were really fun events)...
  20. Better to lead than follow, or worse, have your corporate head in the sand...
  21. Happy Birthday!
  22. The hatch would be the engine cover on a mid engined car (though there may be another cover under it). Frunk, hatch, retractable top...very interesting implications from this, if it's not someone's Photoshop fun...
  23. <speculation> The particular functions seem to imply a retractable top mid engined convertible. It could be Cadillac's Ferrari 488 competitor based on the C8. Seems like it would be a nice home for the V8 TT from the CT6 V-sport. Who knows... </speculation>
