  1. And note that they made both 4dr sedans and 4dr hardtops (like the blue Cutlass) in each of the 4 lines from '66-72 (the 4dr ht was added in '66). Pretty rare to see any of them today. That '71-72 Skylark looks familiar--when I was a kid circa 75-78 my next-door neighbor had a blue '71-72 Skylark 4dr sedan, and got a blue w/ white top '76 Regal. Both in a shade similar to that blue Cutlass. This '66 LeMans 4dr ht is clean...
  2. I'm sure it would sell well here in the US...Americans love this generic CUV $h! as much as China.. Interesting that of the top 10 brands in China only 3 are home-grown brands..
  3. So generic, could have any badging...nothing says 'Buick' about it..
  4. Just another generic CUV appliance..nothing special.
  5. ^ early 50s something...so many cars looked so similar then, esp. from behind. A bit of googling leads me to believe it is a '50-51 Buick. A marque that had a very distinctive front end, but not so distinctive rear.
  6. Taking it easy going to the weekend...doing some grilling and working w/ my laptop on the patio...looking forward to some rest and some beach time this weekend.
  7. Will be getting my annual flu shot this month. Got my #2 booster of Pfizer for C19 a month or so ago.
  8. Saw a pale blue MGA roadster, a clean medium blue ‘68 Mustang fastback, and a seriously rusted 2nd Gen Avalanche. The Av was black, paint was shiny and looked good on the hood and upper areas, but the front and rear fender arches and lower doors were crumbly and rusty, with fist-sized holes.
  9. A buddy of min in AZ has 3 Land Cruisers--all bought used w/ high mileage..a mid '70s 2dr FJ40, an '84 FJ 60, and a '90s FJ 80. A few years ago when he was having trouble passing emissions tests w/ the '84 (finicky tuning), he took it to a shop in Seattle that retrofitted it with a GM LS e-rod crate engine... been very happy with it since then, takes it off roading and camping a lot in AZ.
  10. I noticed over the weekend that the reaction icons (like, agree, sad, etc) aren't rendering on Safari on my Mac or iPhone..not sure how it's showing on Chrome or other browsers.
  11. Glad to see they are keeping the Chrysler brand...will be interesting to see what comes in the next few years.
  12. I’ve been happy with the Michelin Defenders on my JGC. Almost 5 years and 35k on them. I wasn’t aware of a polio booster, will have to look into that. My childhood vaccinations were probably 50 years ago or more.
  13. Sounds you had a great vacation. I’ve been to Hawaii a couple of times, only to Oahu. Definitely want to go back and explore the other islands. I thought I saw a couple threads on here about the Charger EV concept a few days ago. I like it a lot, have watched a few videos about and read stuff on all the usual sites. Looking forward to seeing the production model.
  14. ^ I like the CTS coupe and the Le Sabre...nice to see an 80s B-body in good shape. Don't see many around here that aren't worn out and rusty.
  15. ^ it's definitely a gamble..
  16. It definitely looks like they changed very little behind the front fascia. I guess it gives them something in the compact CUV market, after the demise of the ancient Journey. At least w/ the Dart, while it was on a Fiat/Alfa platform, there wasn't a Fiat or Alfa model in the US market with the same panels. The Alfa Tonale is going to be sold in the US. Kind of like how back in the 70s-90s Dodge and Plymouth had many cloned models with little brand differentiation...
  17. I'm in no rush to go to an EV. Maybe in 15 years when I'm thinking about retirement.
  18. Trucks and SUVs are where the market and profits are... and they have very good SUVs--these engines will be going in the Grand Cherokee, Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer (and maybe the next gen Durango?), presumably the Ram also. I could see myself shopping for a WL GC w/ the TT6 in a few years. I am definitely going to miss the Charger and Challenger, but sadly the market for muscle cars is very small and shrinking, I believe...:(
  19. I still see a lot of Chargers in use by the Ohio Highway Patrol, but I could see those being replaced by SUVs. What isn't clear to me is how the EV muscle car that they keep hinting at will be named/branded. Will it be a 2dr or a 4dr?
  20. Every article I read is different. From what I've read, the V8 is going away, and the trucks and SUVs are getting a TT inline 6 to replace it. The Challenger and Charger are going away completely, replaced by an EV muscle car. Or something like that.
  21. Sad to hear the Challenger and Charger going away.. so they are giving up on the police car market also (unless they are going to push the Durango police package as a replacement for the Charger?). I'll miss the Challenger, was one of the last 2dr RWD coupes available w/ a V8 and manual, in this world of styleless generic white appliances, it really stood out.. It will be interesting to see how walking away from their most iconic models will go for Dodge. I can't imagine the EV replacement will get nearly as many sales.
  22. My understanding, at least in the near term, is that the inline TT6 is replacing the V8s. The 3.6 Pentastar will remain....
  23. Definitely. I definitely noticed the higher belt lines, smaller side and rear windows, much thicker pillars, larger side mirrors when I went from an ‘00 JGC to a ‘14 JGC a few years ago.
