  1. I noticed a build configurator for the Gladiator is up on the Jeep website, similar trim levels to the Wrangler. But no pricing of models or options up yet.
  2. I've had maybe a dozen in circulation come to me in change over the last 30+ years. Pretty uncommon to see one.
  3. More time to change their minds and cancel it. Or restyle the front to look like the Silverado HD.
  4. Speaking of Buick, I wonder if they will be a CUV only brand in the US in a couple years (at some point I assume they will end the Opel deal for the Regals).
  5. Hmmm...maybe they got confused and implemented a 4.8 volt system instead of 48 volt.

  7. Beautiful beastie...sounds like a blast to drive. Love the color. The WK2 styling has really held up well, IMO.
  8. I think the crossovers are NA market only. Some of the sedans are sold as Hondas in other markets, along w the NSX.
  9. It's all in the semantics. Different automakers use terms in different ways. To me a convertible or coupe is a body style, not a model or trim level.
  10. Of course. And certain trim levels appear for one or two model years, then disappear and re-appear mid season through another year..or how two generations of 911 overlap for some years and trims.
  11. That would make more sense..though Toyota at this point is pretty much a non-entity with production EVs, having focused on hybrids and hydrogen so far.
  12. Yes, and some trims are available on some body styles and not others...like the GT3 and GT3 RS are two trim levels, available on 1 body style each. While the Carrera S is available in all 3 body styles (Porsche might consider the body style-trim level combo as a unique trim level, but that's just semantics).. With the Corvette, there are 2 body styles--coupe and convertible, and 4 trim levels. Pretty simple.
  13. Nope. One Corvette model with 4 trim levels in 2 body styles. One 911 model with 23 trim levels. 3 body styles in some of the trim levels.
  14. Well, their Formula 1 effort ended with little to no success a few years ago. They persevered in endurance racing though.
  15. Cornering at 25 mph? Passengers would be screaming in terror sliding across the bench seats...I would guess the one you are building will corner much better.. Back on topic--- The nose of the new Supra seems inspired by F1 car nose cones and air dams from a few years ago, seems dated now considering Toyota is no longer in F1.
  16. Yes, Porsche has always been a brand--whether an independent company or owned by VWAG as they are now. No one sane would argue that. On the other hand, Corvette is a model with different trim levels within the Chevrolet brand. That is the distinction. At some points in time Porsche had only one street model--like in the 356 era, but after the 911 came out, they had periods of time with only 2 street models--like in the late 60s with the 911 and 912, the early 70s with the 911 and 914, the late 90s with the 911 and Boxster. And of course many trim levels within those models. Like the modern 911 which often has 20-24 trim levels in any particular year--in comparison to the Corvette which has 4 currently (base, Z06, GS, ZR-1?)

  19. Yes, but labor cost in Siberian prison is free. So fewer rubles. Also, I doubt if they would be buying authentic Dyncorn shells, probably cheap knockoffs from Eastern Europe.

  21. Quite true..at old car shows I've attended over the last decade or so, it seems most of the people were Baby Boomers. Not many people under 50, let alone under 30. Arizona has a strong old car hobby culture, but it's predominantly an older demo. I do wonder about the future of the old car hobby after the Baby Boomers age out. Obviously, some younger people--often the children of those Baby Boomer old car hobbyists--- will get into it, but I don't see as large an interest in old cars with people under 50..
