  1. Isn't that the formula for the CH-R now? And there is the Corolla hatchback now also.
  2. Interesting...would look good in a log cabin or lodge..
  3. Interesting..thought I read it was torn down...
  4. That's pretty cool...
  5. Alfa, Maserati and Fiat are dead brands walking, can't see a point in investing further in them, though they probably will. As far as a GM I6, I don't see it happening. They have the DOHC V6s which works fine for RWD and FWD applications. The Atlas died with the old GM--the plant that built it and the plant that built the GMT-360 long closed/demolished, the tooling probably long scrapped or landfilled. Part of the legacy of that decade of failure for GM. I don't expect major new ICE engine families from GM in the future, as Mary Barra has stated GM's future is EVs and AVs..
  6. I assume GM killed the Altas 6 because they killed the GMT-360 platform. No midsize RWD SUVs, no straight 6. They couldn't have used it in the FWD/transverse CUVs and cars they've built over the last decade. V6s made sense as they can be used in RWD and FWD transverse engine platforms. As for the next Camaro, I assume it will be on whatever the CT4 (ATS replacement) is on...
  7. A good concealment for me recently occurred. In the front row at the symphony last Saturday night, trapped gas was released during the standing ovation at the end of the performance. Like Mr AHWNN, I enjoy partaking in spicy food, especially Asian curries. I have to temper my enjoyment of such food with the real possibity of violent magma flows from my rear end—the heat of a 1000 suns burning my sphincter and delicate tissues, sometimes accompanied by violent nausea. Copious use of Imodium and Pepto Bismol helps prevent such toxic eruptions. Perhaps the most powerful emission I had was once whilst walking in London, standing at a viewpoint overlooking the river, hours and hours of trapped flatulence (after the 10 1/2 hr flight from Phoenix, train trip into the city, etc.). There were a couple of people standing a foot or so behind me before, after I turned and they had moved probably 12-15 feet behind me. I didn’t intentionally cut loose then, but it happened.
  8. Indeed...I like the idea of a GC with a straight 6.
  9. Well, considering the sales were falling for all of those, the market didn't care for them..
  10. Looking it forward to see it in person...the old Ranger was so old by the time it went out, even a design that is a few years old will seem new.
  11. Variety and choice are the spice of life, right? It's good we have a market with a wide variety of product at a wide range of prices..would be boring if we only had a bunch of look-a-like transport pods w/ gray interiors to choose from.
  12. Common sense isn't common. 20+ years dealing with the imbeciles in corporate America has taught me that...
  13. I'd take the Bronco and Mach 1.
  14. I could imagine riding a horse today would be difficult...no cupholders, no phone charger outlet, no nav. Though they can be autonomous and green as far as fuel. (I rode horses a few times as a child 40 years ago).
  15. I'm pretty sure the Slade is sold in Canada also...maybe Mexico too..
  16. Sales # are relevant in the mass market, less of an issue w/ luxury vehicles. And the GLS probably outsells it globally. Engine weight means nothing in a large SUV...with something like the Escalade the goal is to maximize the weight, not minimize it..leave the lightweight concerns to economy cars.
  17. Maybe they can do an Escalade V-series w the ZR1 engine. <sarcasm> Then to get the price higher, an ultra blinged range topping model w gold trim, 26 inch wheels, raised roof, etc. license the Kardashian brand name for that trim level. Nothing else would say ‘murican excess like that... </sarcasm>
  18. 500hp this, 500hp that. Blah blah blah..But what about an Escalade EV? That would be a bold move...
  19. I’ve heard my county (and the river) pronounced a couple ways... Cuyahoga... Q-uh-hoga or Kai-ah-Hoga. So Lan-Caster or Lank-aster? I’d go with the 2nd.. Ohio has a Lancaster, not sure how it’s pronounced. Ohio has a Louisville—pronounced Lewis-vil, but my cousins in Kentucky pronounce their city Luh-a-Vul.
  20. In a similar vein, I've heard jag-U-wahr, jag-war, jag-wahr and jag-wire (I go with the 3rd). Aw-di and Ow-di (I go with the first). I've heard Bon-UH-vil and Bonnie-vil (I go with the first)...
  21. Or is it jag-WIRE? That's how I've heard it pronounced sometimes in regards to the Jacksonville Jaguars NFL team..
  22. Looks like a Chevy key with the black head in there...but there a lot of other keys on that chain. Hmm...maybe all the keys in your pic is a reference to the GM ignition issue? I go for minimal with my keys--only one on mine--my house key.
  23. GMC is not about 'value'..GMC is about 'professional grade', so professional grade pricing...
  24. LOL.... It's not 1975 anymore when Cadillac had the 500 V8 and Lincoln had a 460 V8...not sure if the displacement is relevant to most buyers today... the Navigator (it's main competitor) gets by just fine w/ a 3.5L DOHC V6.
