    Prices are getting crazy..anything under $30-35k seems to be fwd/transverse 4cyl appliances, nothing interesting.---just despair gray interior generics. Since I drove my last new vehicle 17 years, I'll probably be in my current for a while..but not that long..not going to keep it past 100k miles. I've been happy w/ my CPO experience, I can see doing that again...

    So? Mercedes are used as taxis in Europe because they are reliable and durable. I don’t see how that has any relevance to anything else. Priuses are used as taxis in the US, yet people still but them. Mercedes-Benz has a long history of commercial vehicles--from taxis, to Sprinter vans, to heavy trucks and buses, so that's just part of their product line along w/ luxury cars and SUVs, so nothing out of the ordinary.

    That was a truck engine, not a car engine...wasn't intended to be refined.

    Nah, these are just commercial appliances. The current VW Crafter is a VW only product, but the previous on was based on the Sprinter.... so if the next Transit and Crafter share some dirty bits for various markets, no biggie...

    Similar to what they are forecasting for here in Cleveland...ugh. Already have 3-4 inches on the ground from last weekend. And if it gets windy, that means power outages...ugh.

    Hard to imagine a 300hp 4 cyl Mustang, since my main points of familiarity for Mustangs are a 92hp 4cyl and a 225hp V8..

    I'd love to see a CT6 coupe, a Buick sedan and an Impala/Caprice off this platform, but in today's CUV-obsessed market I know all are quite unlikely...

    Interesting..I just heard about that engine in a podcast, someone had installed one in a older Civic IIRC.

    I've had experience w/ 3 straight 6s--Jeep's 4 liter (not smooth but mostly reliable), BMW's 3.2 and Mercedes 3.0, both of which were pretty smooth. I like straight 6s. One thing I like about straight 6s is they are usually used in RWD/AWD applications where the long hood fits the RWD styling proportions. They are usually too long to fit in transverse engine applications, where a V6 works better. V4? The only one I can think of was from Ford in Europe in the 60s-70s that was used in some SAABs. Can't think of any in at least 40 years.

    It seems to me the Power Wagon is country music and mud pluggin' in the rural South or Midwest, the Rivian is more urban sophistication, avocado toast on the West Coast and going to the beach and mountains there.... Anyway, a Hellcat version of Power Wagon called Mega Power Wagon would be cool...

    Hard to tell, but looking at the pics it looks like the cab and bed are carried over from the previous generation, not using the cab and bed from the '19 1500...good looking truck, the new front is a big improvement over the pig nostril grille the Heavy Duty has used recently.

    No, they are using the new platform the new BMW Z4 is on. That was a pic of one from 15 years ago...2 generations back.

    Looks good..like the dash and clean exterior. And a proper decklid, not overly fastbackish.

    For the LGX 3.6 these are the specs in the Blazer (same platform): 2019 Chevrolet Blazer 305 hp (227 kW) @ 6600 RPM 269 lb⋅ft (365 N⋅m) @ 5000 RPM Which seems plenty enough for this category. it's more than the old 3800 and 3900 had (some of you are using rose colored glasses).

    Slick... I like the 'race car for the street' looks. Though for a current Mustang, the one I would want is the Bullitt..love the dark green and subtle looks.
