  1. Good question..I wonder if there are used Teslas at non-Tesla dealers...I suppose that could happen.
  2. This was mostly from the Rich Rebuilds podcast about his experience buying a used Model X, but IIRC things like waiting months for the car to be delivered locally (w/ Tesla providing dates that kept changing), lack of photographs of the car, poor communication over the phone w/ untrained people, cars stored at a 3rd party auction lot, etc. Seems like core issues are that Tesla doesn't have used car lots or used car sales processes like normal dealers.. from comments it sounds like it's not an isolated event.
  3. I've heard the Tesla used car buying experience can be horrific...hopefully that will improve in the future.
  4. I'm being serious....899 lbs/ft (or rods to the hectare or whatever EU measurement is in use) is plenty enough...
  5. Maybe for the Unimog's European markets, they make enough....they aren't in Texass..
  6. Diesels tend to be low on HP and high on torque. Low RPM torque is what counts w/ diesels and work trucks.
  7. Since Ford hasn't released any numbers, no point in speculation. No one cares about hp per liter, just meaningless statistical nonsense...
  8. 'only' $47k? What reality are you in? For most people, that's not a small amount of money...
  9. Figured this was coming, the patent drawing was seen on Allpar and other sites a couple years ago. Does the Silverado yet have the GMC trick tailgate option?
  10. I don't recall seeing any Leafs either. Though I do see Telsas fairly frequently. Even saw a row of 6 Superchargers in the parking lot of a local suburban shopping center between the Home Depot and Best Buy.
  11. So the code name for the 7.3 is supposedly Godzilla. I believe it is the first new Ford pushrod V8 family since the 335 series and 385 series over 50 years ago.
  12. I've only seen one Bolt since moving to Ohio, at the Cleveland Auto Show last year..haven't seen any on the road.
  13. This was funny...ordered a DoorDash delivery of Indian food for lunch today, and the driver was the same red bearded Milennial I chatted w/ about 6 months ago w/ the black Tesla Model 3. I noticed the front fascia was scuffed and cracked..he said he had spun it into a snowbank last week. He said when it was really cold last week the door handles froze and it was hard to get into, and that he'd been having intermittent electrical issues inside..and that the touchscreen was hard to use w/ gloves (because the heater quit).
  14. Looks like they are still are doing a small touchscreen...
  15. After almost 2 years with my current Jeep, I'm definitely happy with the low mileage used approach (it was 3 yrs old with 25k, for close to $20k below the list of a new one).
  16. On a side tangent, FCA needs to do an 'LA Rams' edition of the Ram in purple and yellow...
  17. Not being a heavy duty truck customer, I do wonder for what use cases one would buy the gas engine over the diesel...unless they just don't like diesels.
  18. For some reason, I was reading the Wikipedia article on the LS4 last night...had some unique parts for fitting in a transverse config, incl. a remote water pump..don't think I've ever seen one in person. The MC only got that engine option in its last 2 years, the '06-07..the 2 years it had the updated Impala-ish front end.
  19. GM already did the pushrod V8 transverse in a FWD platform back in the oughts...not the best configuration, IMO.
  20. That sounds like a fun job. Thanks for all the articles and reviews you've contributed here over the years.
  21. And low end torque, which is good for towing and Super Duty grunty stuff..
  22. From speculation in a couple articles, it sounds like that 7.3 V8 is going to be a new old-school pushrod V8. "The motor uses a new cam-in-block, overhead valve architecture with cast iron block and forged steel crankshaft.." Interesting retro move, compared to the OHC V8s they've been doing for over 20 years..
  23. Mmmm...Alfa Montreal..saw one at a Concours show in Denver back in the oughts..they look really good in person, esp. love the front end.
  24. I didn't realize the V10 was still around..interesting.
  25. Yeah, I've never thought about resale value, I usually keep cars long enough that it's a moot point..
