  1. I'm going to have one sooner or later. Some details I love the about the Challenger---huge number of variations available, manual available, multiple V8s, an actual trunk, a 2dr w/ frameless door glass, hefty, RWD, and 4 distinct headlights, not melted lighting globs. The car has so much character in a retro modern package. Slyman's Tavern in Independence, OH has a great selection of beers...the corned beef sliders were delicious.
  2. Went out for happy hour, alas, it started raining so I couldn't sit outside, but still, 57 degrees and intermittent sun for February in NE Ohio isn't bad. Parked outside the bar was a sharp bright blue w/ black hood & wheels late model Challenger T/A and a dark red Grand Cherokee SRT. Tasty Mopies...
  3. Speaking of Kia and Genesis, these are strange times when you realize the Korean brands have the same number of RWD sedans on sale now in the US that the Detroit 3 have combined.....
  4. Looking forward to seeing the Arteon in person...has some neat details, I like how the headlight trim sweeps into the grille...
  5. Speaking of Buicks, stopped by my local independent mechanic earlier to pick up my sister's Trax (had an oil change and other service), and they had 3 late model Buicks parked out front, in for service or whatever...a silver previous-gen LaCrosse, a dark red previous gen Regal, and a white Lucerne.
  6. Nice and sunny today, supposed to go over 60, which is incredible for Cleveland in February..got to find a bar w/ a patio open for happy hour this afternoon. Yesterday afternoon got into the mid 50s, so mild I took a drive w/ the sunroof open and heated seat on...had cabin fever after the week of cold and nasty weather... Yard is very soggy and muddy from all the snow melt, but the doggos are enjoying it..
  7. I saw someone driving a couple weeks ago after the last big snow in an Equinox covered in snow with only the top 1/3 of the windshield brushed off. So many drivers are idiots that have no self-awareness...
  8. It's the only GM midsize AWD/FWD hatchback in the US market. That's a unique configuration. I know that's a small detail, but it was all I could think of...I didn't have GM in there, but then I remembered the Audi A7 and BMW 5 series GT also are midsize hatchbacks.
  9. Sunny and 56 degrees today, and most of the snow has melted. Back yard soggy/muddy. But did enjoy time outside after a week of nasty weather.
  10. You didn't use the <sarcasm> </sarcasm> tags in your post.. .;)
  11. Reminds me of the big one optional in the Ram 1500..
  12. Weather getting a bit better...was out and about this morning and saw a grubby, dented salt-encrusted red Tesla Model S coming out of the McDonalds drive thru...funny to see a Tesla driven like any other winter beater. The rear bumper fascia was cracked.
  13. More like 1959. Renault Dauphine electric conversion. Henney Kilowatt was one such conversion. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Henney_Kilowatt
  14. Note that the Duramax is a diesel, though. Is anyone doing single turbos like this for a gas V6?
  15. Watching an episode of Phantom Works, they are building a hot rod '31 Chevy Landau Phaeton--a 2dr convertible. I had never heard of that car, didn't realize there were 2dr Phaetons (I knew that Ford used the name on 4dr convertibles). Googling turned up that Ford had a 2dr Phaeton also. Learn something new everyday... (On the 2dr variety, having a back seat and longer interior and top seems to be the main differences from a roadster). This is a pic of the finished car..neat little rod. I'm so used to seeing pics of Model A and 32 Fords that it's neat to see a Chevy of that era (which looks very similar to a Ford IMO).
  16. Voice commands aren't for me, but I wonder if with Car Play or Android Auto there is a way to use Siri or Cortana..(wait, Cortana is Microsoft--what is the name of the Android Assistant?). I have devices that use Siri or Alexa at home, but never use it.
  17. The proper RWD/AWD platform and drivetrain alone make the Aviator more appealing to me than the XT6, and the styling. Nothing retro about it that I can see.
  18. heh-heh..I guess I've run that one into the ground, haven't I?
  19. Alas, the 'tablet glued to the dash' approach seems to be the way most automakers are going with their touchscreens...I prefer the integrated approach FCA does on most of their products. I don't like all black interiors either (or all gray interiors)...too gloomy. I prefer two tone interiors w/ a light and dark color contrasting or two light shades (like tan and lt brown)>
  20. Now if they would make something like a Roomba for shoveling/snow blowing of the driveway.
  21. The rear end looks Maserati-sh... the greenhouse from the side looks a lot like the previous Optima. I like the front and interior, esp. in the two tone.
  22. It's funny..this car is a similar formula (midsize, AWD, V6) to a short lived model from 30 years ago..kind of the spiritual successor to the 6000 STE AWD... https://oppositelock.kinja.com/1989-pontiac-6000ste-awd-a-unicorn-s-unicorn-1682154654
  23. Was -3F this morning when I got up.. Now up to 1F and sunny..heat wave coming, supposed to be 50 Sunday..which will melt all the snow and make a mess...
  24. Cold and sunny today...high was -1 today. Supposed to be -5 at 7am tomorrow. Haven't been outside today, but got to roll out the wheely bins in the morning..
  25. Carvana has a similar 'vending machine' stack here off the 271.
