  1. Or stuff like the Montana, Torrent, Vibe, etc---FWD redundant filler crap..
  2. If they had unique products like they had w/ the G8 and Solstice... but not a rebadge filler brand.
  3. Yeah, they are too busy playing on their phones to care about cars. Different world.
  4. The E39s were really nice...a buddy in Denver had two used 540is in a row--both manuals. Drove one once, very nice car...handled great.
  5. I like how slim the nostril grilles on those were...the new 7s grille is probably 3-4 times taller.
  6. I like STSes...my sister's current commuter car is a well worn '06 STS...it drives nicely, comfortable inside. Her '00 DTS was nice also.
  7. Oh, it's not the car...my brother has been an asshole/felon/black sheep of the family for decades...I had a BMW M3 back in the 00s and I'm not an asshole.
  8. I always liked the look of those.... my asshole brother who has been a lifelong Chevy/Pontiac/Ford/Mercury guy has a black '00 740i...neat car.
  9. Transit vans are the best around the Nurburgring from what I've read. Magazine stats such 0-60, quarter mile, top speed were the arguing points of car crazed teenagers in study hall...I remember such debates w/ my buddies on the latest car details from Car & Driver, Road & Track, etc back in '85-86...
  10. Of course, the potential top speed of a car has no meaning in the real world, just an internet arguing point of little value.
  11. So? You aren’t the target customer. They aren’t work trucks.
  12. I wouldn't have liked living in a black & white world..I like color The 50s seem so far removed from the world I know...it may as well be the 1850s. Now the late 60s-early 70s would have been fun, IMO--for the music, the cars, the culture..would have been a fun time to be a young engineer at a place like JPL, NASA, BBN, or SRI driving something like a '69/70 Mach 1, '70 Challenger R/T or an early 911...
  13. the general buying public are so damn boring in their car color choices...
  14. I like two tone interior options w/ red, saddle tan, cream, brown, etc... color can be a great thing in an interior, just tired of dour all black or 50 shades of gray interiors... I do like that Escala interior. that CTS interior w/ the red and gray looks ideal for an Ohio State fan.
  15. Out of curiosity, I checked the website of the apartment complex I lived in in Colorado Springs in the late 90s where I lived after grad school when at my first corporate job...they now have EV charging stations on site. That was a neat place, I had a heated garage w/ my apartment.... (random trivia--I managed to damage the garage door twice while living there--backed through the closed garage door w/ my Bronco, and caught it on the ski racks on my first JGC while it was going up..)
  16. The charge at home can work for some, but for people without their own garage that would be a problem.
  17. Chrysler never 'merged with Mitsubishi', but they had an engineering partnership for engines and platforms over several decades. But agreed about Tesla--they are an independent American tech company/auto maker and I hope they remain independent. Merging/being acquired by another automaker would kill what is unique about them, I think (though I could see them subcontracting the manufacturing to outside vendors for scale).
  18. Wowza..that's...different. Too bad the auction didn't have an under hood shot...would love to see that loooooong hood open..
  19. Well, this is at least a real factory appearance package, not DIY silliness...
  20. I bet I could do 5lbs at 3 sets of 15 reps. Hah-hah..no, normal stuff for daily life... home stuff, dog food, etc.
  21. Crossovers usually sit higher than cars, and I would think 20 inch wheels/tires are taller than the standard wheels/tires (not sure what the standard size are). And step bars are a common add on with SUVs, and I see some people putting them on CUVs also...
  22. I love 'em, I've ridden in them back in the day, like the interior..typical mid 80s G body inside. The cars, music, movies and TV of the 80s were a big part of my youth, still find it a fascinating era. I really want to go to one of the RADwood events that celebrate 80s and 90s cars.
  23. Cleveland gets a variety of snow levels, and it varies depending on where you are...there are Lake Effect snow belts east of the city where the wind off Lake Erie really piles up the snowfall...where I'm at in suburbs due south of the city I don't get that much, not bad this winter except a couple weeks ago when we got about a foot. I bought a snow blower at the end of January, only used it a couple times so far. With my Jeep I really haven't needed to shovel the driveway, but I usually shovel a path to the street for the mailman and Amazon delivery guys, and the sidewalk in front of my house.
  24. On the Front Range in Colorado, it was usually powder...a light fluffy snow that either came in a light dusting or mass quantities (October, March/April). I remember once getting 45 inches over 3 days. The good thing there is I never had to shovel when I had an apartment then a condo.
  25. It's funny...I like having the latest tech on some things--I geek out over software and electronics in general..but with some things I prefer proven, reliable technologies..don't want to be bleeding edge on everything. Don't want to be the one bleeding..;)
