  1. They still have some filler brands, though...GMC and Buick. At least the styling is differentiated..
  2. Damn that gray plastic interior is ugly...and what is up w/ the center vents so low on the dash....better inside than a 2005 Equinox, I suppose, but still ugly gray and cheap.
  3. Maybe..2008-2009 was a really bad time for the auto industry... they were barely hanging on then.
  4. Well, it is 10+ year old vehicle so the fit & finish probably wouldn't be that great... I see a few around here occasionally, rusty and worn out but still running.
  5. Base 4cyl power in midsize pickups seems to vary quite a bit...the Ranger seems to have the most base power in the US market...2.3 Turbo w/ 270hp. The Colorado has a 2.5 w/ 200hp, and Nissan Frontier has a 2.5 w/ 152hp, so the Tacoma is consistent w/ the Frontier in base power.
  6. True, but this is GM...they always seem to compete with themselves..
  7. Though I don't see consumers cross shopping Chevy and Cadillac, the Blazer gives the Chevy dealer something to compete w/ the Acadia and XT5 at dealers across or down the street...
  8. Yeah, I was thinking of the lower trims. I can't imagine much of a market here for the R.
  9. Given the US market appetite for crossovers, i could see this being a hit for VW here if they didn't go cray-cray w/ the pricing.
  10. I’m surprised Toyota hasn’t done a Prius crossover.
  11. A bit of a random anecdote relating to Priuses.. I talked w/ a buddy of mine in Colorado recently...10 years back, he had a Prius as his commuter car --had a 100 mile commute daily...(he also got a Challenger SRT when they first came out for a weekend car), now he has a Tesla Model 3 as the commuter car and a Challenger Hellcat as his weekend car..
  12. I could see using a Renegade as a fun beach cruiser or around city vehicle. I could see my sister replacing her Trax with one, and keeping it in Florida.
  13. The Prius is kind a last decade phenomenon...hybrids are old news now; battery EVs are the 'green thing' now.. Then there is the Mirai...more exotic technically and weirder looking than the Prius.
  14. That sounds very painful...
  15. I like the looks of the Tour X...that dark red looks great. The '50 shades of gray' interior of the black one is too dour and bland for me.
  16. I don’t really like the styling, but I’ve long liked the 4Runner for its off road capabilities. The TRD Pro looks good in Calvary Blue. Nice color. One Toyota guilty pleasure for me would be a late model Land Cruiser. Great off-road and they run forever, albeit rather dated inside.
  17. About the only features from the higher trims (Overland or Summit) I'd like to have would be the power folding mirrors, pano roof, and ventilated seats, along w/ Apple Car Play from the newer versions. Maybe in a few years I'll look for a CPO '19- '20 Summit in brown.
  18. I'm up to 41k on mine...got it with 25k as a CPO in Arizona before I moved. Replaced the tires at 31k w/ a set of Michelin Defenders.
  19. Very nice..I've been happy w/ my '14 GC Limited...had it almost 2 years now. It's been great on road trips and around town.
  20. A 2 seat crossover EV coupe would be an ideal Corvette variation...
  21. Given how Ford is really getting on CUV bandwagon, I would expect more..I can see a Lincoln version of the Mustang-inspired Hybrid or EV CUV (Mach 1 or whatever it's going to be called?) ...maybe a Lincoln version of the Bronco?
  22. Right...MLB are for north-south orientation, MQB for transverse engine. Makes sense.
  23. MLB and MLBEvo... pretty versatile component set..and they have MQB for the smaller vehicles. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Volkswagen_Group_MLB_platform
  24. I kind of figured that, since it sounded like VSS is further out..
  25. Haven't used it in a while, mostly stick w/ Safari on my home laptop. With work I've been dealing with compatibility issues this week on a new application and Edge, IE, Firefox, and Chrome...as always, IE is the problem child. Will be glad when IE no longer has to be supported..
