    Yah, and the guy across the street's '18 Mustang sounds like that also...(2.3 Ecoboost version). There are several fun cars on my street... one guy has a silver S2000, there is a dark red 1st gen Miata in great shape, a black Grand National I've never seen out of the garage, and a red '04-06 GTO around the corner.

    I loved Breaking Bad, and it's prequel Better Call Saul. About the only current network TV shows I watch are Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Orville. I do watch a lot on streaming--Bosch and The Grand Tour from Amazon, Star Trek: Discovery on CBS All Access, and a lots of British and Scandanavian/Nordic crime dramas on various streaming outlets. About the only sports I watch with any regularity are NFL football, Indy Car Series races, and F1 races. Still enjoy getting up early on Sunday mornings for F1 races. And movies of all sorts..even black and white and once in a great while silent films...no fear of subtitles...I love Hong Kong action/crime films, French dramas, etc.

    I remember some Cheers as a kid and liking it, esp. the earlier ones w/ Shelly Long. I rarely watch sitcoms these days, but recently got hooked on Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Binge watched 5+ seasons in about 3 weeks..since they are 22 min each I could watch a bunch in an evening. Fun characters in a workplace comedy/cop show.

    Looks like my neighbor's teenage son just got a used BRZ/86/FRS...it's red, has no front bumper and goes 'brawwwpp'.

    Maybe we need a 'what are you watching' thread like the 'what are you listening to' thread. I stream a variety of shows, most recently the Miami mob/hotel drama 'Magic City' (set in 1959-1960) on Starz, the British crime dramas 'London Kills' and 'Manhunt' (both on Acorn), and the latest season of Swedish crime drama 'The Sandhamn Murders' on Mhz. Waiting on the new seasons of British crime dramas 'Grantchester', 'Endeavour' and 'Luther' to appear for US streaming.. one of things I enjoy about the British/European dramas is the seasons/series are usually only 5-8 episodes, so they can be binged over a couple of evenings.

    I guess that was inferred from this paragraph at the linked story.. Jeep said that the Wrangler plug-in will launch in 2020. It will likely cost a fair bit more than a basic Wrangler, considering the fact the base Pacifica Hybrid is about $13,000 more than a base non-hybrid version. Some of that is probably due to equipment differences, but the hybrid powertrain will still probably command a premium of a few grand. History has shown that no matter the price of options, the Wrangler still sells well..

    Yes..especially in brown...love the shape. I thought the 4dr looked better than the 2dr version.

    Maybe the fear is if they make the trunks on sedans too big it will cut into CUV sales.. ?

    The only one of BMW's Gran Coupes or Gran Turismos I liked the looks of was the 6 series Gran Coupe..was a beautiful car, IMO.

    That's what training videos and manuals are for.. of course, to make this appealing to a younger market it should be dynamically reconfigurable via a phone app...transformers!

    Ah, a pop culture reference to a film I haven’t seen (since I was a teenager in the 80s, wouldn’t have seen an ‘00s teen comedy film) ? Anyway, back semi-on-topic w/ compact lux sedans, BMW has a fwd 1 series sedan in China that is about 175 inches, looks like a shrunken 3 series....about the size of the E30 E series...smaller than the new A-class sedan it sounds like.

    The A-class is intended to compete with other small-compact entry lux sedans like the Audi A3. The CLA continues ( 2nd gen in 2020) as the ‘coupe’ variation. The ATS is in the larger compact niche w/ the C-class, 3 series, A4, etc. Where the CT4 and CT5 line up is TBD.

    I wonder how the new CLA compares to the first gen. It is slightly larger.

    Note I said 'usually', not 'always'. There are plenty of counter examples where FWD cars have bigger interiors yet shorter wheelbases than similarly sized RWD cars because they have more of the interior within the wheelbase because of the transverse layout. (I feel dirty pointing out a positive aspect of FWD/transverse).
