Conversions are just aftermarket novelties, though... the subject here are production luxury cars. The Taycan seems interesting, but I wouldn't take one over a Panamera. Likewise, I wouldn't choose an electric BMW 7 series over a V12. Likewise I wouldn't pick a shoddily built Tesla over a well built V8 or V12 luxury car at the various price points Tesla sells at. I just don't see anything premium or luxury about an electric propulsion system..there is a lot of hype currently, and I think they are going to be a growing market segment for a long time, but to me it's nothing special compared to a V8 or V12.

Electric is boring, though compared to 12 cylinders.

Nissan News: Carlos Ghosn Arrested Again in Japan

'Gone' was my understanding. That's how I've heard it pronounced by podcasters. -
They should offer it in their top SUV model...maybe an X8 above the new X7?

That 508 SW looks pretty tasty... -
I'm sure there is a business reason not to..

I assume they studied the sales numbers of the previous gen regular cab short bed and determined it wouldn't generate enough profit to offer it here in the new generation.

That is a sweet Durango...I like that color combo. I saw a derelict 2nd gen Durango this morning, black with lots of crunchy body rust..the rear hatch was mashed in and had rusty frills at the bottom edge, but the Hemi badge remained. Those 2nd gen models were so ugly and lumpy. -

Well, two GM brands have French roots--directly and indirectly. As an aside, for French-Canadian singers I prefer Mylene Farmer, and for French musicians/bands I like M83 and Kavinsky. -
Being Italian one would expect the Stelvio to be of low quality and poor reliability, but high style. At least they aren't known for catching fire spontaneously like Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

I assume they are just being cheap... -
I could see having an Alfa as a lease for 3 years, wouldn't want one as it ages..

Well, the Mazda 2 sedan was already here as the Scion iA, so the current one was just a rebadge for the US market. -

The current Yaris sedan is a Mazda 2, the US market hatch was a Toyota. I don't think we ever got this restyled version, in orange it would look like a demented Jack-o-Lantern. -

Yes, but I assume this is just another example of GM being cheap. -

Well, it is a rebadged Mazda..Mazda always has plenty of features available. -
I sat in the Accord, Civic and Insight at the auto show last month, I like the look of the current Accord and Insight..very clean and nicely detailed around the lighting and trim. I like the interiors, and it seems with the Insight they went out of their way to excise any hybrid weirdness from the design...they seem like a pleasant place to spend time.

I wonder if those are still old GLE or a mix of old and new sales...and probably old CLA (the new one isn't on sale yet in the US?).

Haven't seen a Telluride in the wild yet, but thought they looked really good in person at the auto show last month.

Saw a bright red 2019 Blazer today, the first one I've seen on the road. Though it wasn't on the road exactly--riding on the back of a rollback wrecker, looked like it had had a pretty hard shunt--front end was mangled and the left front wheel ripped off.. -
Well, Honda hasn't given up on sedans like other short-sighted car companies have, so it makes sense they gain as others cut cars..

I went to a few drag races at Bandimere Speedway outside Denver about 15-20 years ago, I'm more of an Indy Car, IMSA and NASCAR fan but I enjoyed it.

Alas, Nissan's reputation these days in the US is cheap cars w/ CVTs. They long ago lost their mojo here.

I saw some of that last night...and the damn semi trucks..I-71 northbound was pretty bad from south of Mansfield up to I-271 (which was even worse--25mph and one lane clear)... two barely plowed lanes, I'm in the right lane following a line of cars maybe going 45...and a semi blasts past in the left lane covering me in spray.. glad my Jeep is 5000 lbs w/ AWD w/ good tires...a small light vehicle would be buffeted around.
