Which is how the market works today...families buy CUVs/SUVs..alas, sedan trunks seem to get smaller and smaller and less useful.

Chevrolet News:GM Confirms and Teases Mid-Engine Corvette
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Chevrolet
Just looking at the camo-ed proto, it reminds me of the overall profile of the Ferrari Modena but with squared off scoops and a C6 style side window profile.. I'd rather have seen the glass hatch rear window ala the C5/C6, but it looks like it will get a narrow rear window like the C7 or a louvered arrangement and tiny rear window like so many mid engined cars. -

Yes, not much is known in hard details like dimensions or engine/trans specs...all will be revealed in due time... -
My Jeep has factory tint in the same way. As did my old Jeep. Now in Arizona, you can tint the front side windows also...my sister's Trax has those, but my Jeep (which came from CA) doesn't..not sure about Ohio, but her STS has aftermarket tint on the side windows it looks like. I think some states don't allow front side window or windshield tinting...

For the women that lease these appliances, 1 engine choice is enough. The XT* aren't performance vehicles, just FWD/AWD generics. -
The CTS cargo volume is 13.7 cubic feet, this looks like it has a smaller trunk. Slightly bigger than the ATS, which is 10.4 cubic feet.

The turbo 4 seems fine to me in a hot hatch like a Focus RS, but I've always associated performance Mustangs w/ V8s...
-
Yeah, though my brother's 79 Indy Pace Car edition w/ the 5.0 (140hp) and '82 GT felt reasonably fast to me when I drove them years ago. But my '87 GT felt faster.
-
Oh I know; it was 88 hp. And loud and buzzy. I'm sure the new one is smoother. My '87 GT 5.0 had/has 225hp (I think the 82 5.0 was only 160 hp), and the new 5.0 has 460hp.... I'd still rather have an N/A V8 than a turbo 4.
-
Yeah, I'd want a V8. When I think 4cyl Mustang, I think of my '86 LX which felt really underpowered w/ the 2.3. I know today's 2.3 has plenty of power, but it's still just a 4cyl.

I'm happy w/ my CPO JGC.

I like the concept interior, esp. in brown. The exterior is nice, not the mini-G-class as was rumored. -
Watches are interesting as jewelry, but have no purpose in the era of cell phones...haven't worn one in at least 10 years...though I have a few. With dead batteries.

Interior of Mercedes-Benz GLB Concept Rendered :Comments
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Auto Shanghai
The GLB concept exterior and interior look pretty nice... exterior isn't too boxy. -
it's similar to but different from the 2015 China market Cruze. Which is similar to but different from the 2nd gen US Cruze. The white China Cruze looks better because it doesn't have the cheesy black C-pillar trim that GM loves.
-
The China market Cavalier is available in Mexico where it replaced the Sonic..don't know if they are shipping it from China or not. From what I've read, it's a rebodied 1st gen Cruze. It's now Chevy's largest sedan in Mexico (they used to sell the Cruze, Malibu and Impala there but not now apparently). https://www.chevrolet.com.mx/autos/cavalier-auto-familiar

I like the GLS styling..evolutionary, not revolutionary. Clean, uncluttered. Nice interior. They have G-class for those that want a bling wagen.

A sports coupe based on the Stinger and a luxury sports coupe version of the G70 for Genesis would be really cool, but I don't see it happening. -

That would be a different car, different architecture...I doubt if GM would be investing in two different Corvette architectures at once. It sounds like they are going all-in on mid-rear. It's a risky move. I'm sure they will lose a lot of long time customers that don't like mid-rear cars...but gain new customers. I can imagine a lot of the old farts griping that it looks like a 'fancy furrin' car''..
