In the states, I'd call AAA. I have changed tires myself, but probably not in the last 20 years. And a 20 inch wheel and tire is really freaking heavy...with my back issues, I wouldn't try it.

Chrysler News: FCA-Renault Merger Moves Forward
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Chrysler
I wonder if this could lead to a return of Renault to the US. Some of their hot hatches or the Alpine coupe would be nice to see here. And would the new company be abbreviated RFCA or FCRA? -
Saw a '90s Roadmaster wagon in dark blue w/ light trim in the service bay at the FCA dealer this morning. They had a white GC Trackhawk in the showroom, pretty sweet. Didn't check to see if they had any Gladiators yet, didn't see any. I was in getting my 40k service plus oil & filter change, tire rotation, recall fix, etc. Going back in tomorrow to get the passenger side mirror that I smashed replaced.

Uber and/or Lyft - experiences, suggestions
Robert Hall replied to trinacriabob's topic in The Lounge
I haven't used Uber for the airport in Cleveland yet, but have never had a problem with them around town. I've used them in the past for airport runs in Phoenix and Denver a few years ago. -
The V series are the only ones where torque or horsepower counts, though. No one buying a non-V series Cadillac cares about the horsepower or torque (or probably is even aware of the numbers).
-
I wonder if they dropped that idea of badging with torque or power, don't see those badges in pics of these Vs.

Industry News: Trump Raises Tariffs on All Mexican Goods
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Industry News
45 and his supporters seem to be extraordinarily thin-skinned and unable to handle any criticism, and fact-based truths. It doesn't help that we don't really have a functioning Congress either... -
I've heard a lot of criticism of the 9 spd auto, that's the same in the Cherokee? The ZF 8 spd in the GC has been fine, I find it very smooth.

GM News: GM Truck Diesel Power Figures Released
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in General Motors
Elon says a lot of things. Elon 'facts' aren't necessarily true facts. -
Funny anecdote, for some reason I've seen a 1/2 dozen Alfa Romeos (4 Giulias and 2 Stelvios) in the last week. The Giulia Quadrafiglio does look great in dark blue.

Would have thought Wrangler sales would have been better, given it is Spring and the JL is new. And the facelifted Cherokee is down. Though the WK2 GC keeps chugging along in it's 9th model year a decade after its debut at the 2009 NYIAS... Also, these charts are pretty much unreadable on mobile (it looked like the Challenger and Charger had single digit sales).

Just saw this sharp 71 Impala sport coupe. A few min later spotted a sharp silver blue 72 Cutlass formal roof coupe in a driveway. Then later on the way home saw a really clean '86-90 Pontiac Safari wagon in traffic. Dark blue w/ blond plood trim in good shape, wire wheel covers, whitewalls and mudflaps. No rust that I could see.

There may be technical reasons for delays also, IIRC the F1-based (inspired?) powertrain was having trouble meeting European emissions regs, IIRC..

Industry News: Trump Raises Tariffs on All Mexican Goods
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Industry News
I can't imagine the automakers would be thrilled about tariffs on products from Mexico...aren't a lot of pickups from GM and Ram built in Mexico, as well as engines? And VW builds a fair bit in Mexico also.. -

The right, though has a lot of religious fanatics, anti-science, anti-education, bigots, racists, homophobes, xenophobes, technophobes, white nationalists, confederate flag wavers, puppy mill owners, gun nuts, etc...a lot of unsavory people--the lowest of humanity. There used to be sane people in the Republican party--the moderates and pro-business, pro-military people but it seems they have been pushed out by the lunatics from the extreme right. The right/left sides aren't exactly equally comparable. There is definitely some crazy stuff on the left too, but NOT REMOTELY to the scale of that coming from the right. The right has lost it's mind in recent years... -

I was being facetious, which should have been obvious. I'll add sarcasm tags. -
I assume it will get built, probably all 275 have been bought and paid for already. Since it is so low volume not a risk to build.

I don't know, I find the left more rational as their arguments/positions are more based in rational thought and science, while the right is based on religion and fake shit. -
Blah, blah, blah...the AMG One is not a production car yet, so any details are just speculation at this point...still a couple years from being real. The hypercars are just a lot of pointless nonsense, IMO...they either end up in collections and are never driven, hauled to car shows, or catch fire. Real world performance cars are much more interesting..

I don't think there is any such thing as a 'tolerant right', at least not these days... <sarcasm> Build that wall along the beaches! </sarcasm> (I am surprised the MAGA hat wearers haven't hollered about building walls or dams along the coastline of Florida and other Gulf Coast states). -
Beautiful weather again on Sunday... saw a sharp 73 Grand Prix. Rolling on Cragar SS mags. Custom purple-blue paint. Nice rumble. Went up to the lake, found a nice local Mexican place for dinner, found some beautiful hilly, twisty backroads (Willoughby Hills/Kirtland, Oh) and on one of those roads saw a new ZR1 (bright orange) zipping along, followed by a clean early 90s C4 convertible in white w/ red interior. Saw a gorgeous silver w/ blue top '67 Corvette convertible.

That's the C7, though...will be interesting to see the starting price point for the C8...
-
That one never made much sense... muddied the brand positioning.

VW hasn't had air-cooled models in the US in 40 years...that's a very dated image.
