Problem is if GM were to build something like that it would take too long to come to market (5 years from now?) and when it did the market will have moved on to the Next Big Thing... like the mid engined Corvette, which may be coming for model year 2020 when it should have been out 20-30 years ago if GM had wanted to play in that niche.

I don’t think AM has any identity issues at all. Luxury GTs remain their main niche, though they are expanding into mid engined supercars.

It's a lot of power for a 4cyl, but it's still just a 4cyl.

Your comment made it sound like AM had no racing history at all. And the comment about 'since Corvette was racing a LOOOOONG time BEFORE Aston Martin' is factually incorrect, since AM was racing before there ever was a Corvette. Facts count. Anyway, participation in international racing does add a certain prestige or appeal to a brand, whether that conveys into tangible sales numbers is questionable, but it does have it's place.

Actually, Aston Martin has a history in racing going back in the 40s...and won LeMans in 1959 w/ Carroll Shelby... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aston_Martin_DB3

Which I doubt would never happen..GM likes those generic FWD/transverse engine CUVs so they can use the same platform for multiple models at 4 brands. I can't imagine them doing transverse V8 again, but they do have a history of that.

Why should we believe anything you say? What is your proof for your statements? Your comments appear to be right-wing propaganda. -
Read somewhere that the GM Parma stamping plant made W-body floor pans. Drove by it yesterday and today, seems to still be in operation. Wonder what they make there now.

Someone's old time murder room, then.

Looks like a scene from an old b&w horror movie.

Saw an article this evening that the deal is off, FCA pulled out. https://jalopnik.com/fca-abruptly-backs-out-of-merger-negotiations-with-rena-1835283914?utm_source=jalopnik_facebook&utm_medium=socialflow&utm_campaign=socialflow_jalopnik_facebook&fbclid=IwAR2IL8ZnzdpzCsAJszkZJnA-K8L2SezeyWgWE0DTvTBPrhYgfJNymKbpMC0&/setsession -

Industry News: Trump Raises Tariffs on All Mexican Goods
Robert Hall replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in Industry News
Yes, incomprehensible. Trump was a reality TV show host, failed real state developer and 'entrepreneur' with a very shady past, who pandered to the religious right, white nationalists, racists, etc. Hillary was Secretary of State, a Senator, very well educated and accomplished. No comparison. -

Actually, it was totally implied from what you said. Pretty clear. -

Ah, only in it for yourself and you don't give a fuck for the future of the country and its citizens, or for humanity at large. I see. -

You keep saying it doesn't matter, but WHY? Show documented proof as to why you think it doesn't matter. Presidents and presidential candidates traditionally release their tax information. What is 45 hiding? -
Item: 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4
Robert Hall replied to Robert Hall's topic in Member's Rides Showcase
At the dealer yesterday and today..went in yesterday for the 40k service incl. oil change and filter, air filter and cabin air filter, new wiper blades, tire rotation. Went back today to get the passenger side mirror replaced (I cracked out the housing a couple months ago backing out of the garage). Swapped the floor mats from winter Weathertechs to summer carpet mats, ready for summer. -
Also saw a clean brown '70s Mercedes S-class for sale in a yard...dark brown, with dark window tint, extra chrome and wide whitewall tires...

Yeah...neat to see a CUV being used like an SUV. (J/K) And the loading area in front of Ace is on an uphill slope, so you end up loading at an angle. I loaded some mulch, soil, anti-grub spread, etc in my Jeep along w/ lightbulbs...playing the Mr. domestic suburban homeowner role...

I had a run of bad luck w/ nails on my old Jeep on a set of Goodyear Wranglers back in '02-04..must had at least 5 nails in 3 tires, had to get them patched each time. When I was in Arizona my sister was driving my Jeep and ran over something on freeway, had to call AAA to swap on the spare. Back in the 90s I did occasionally swap a flat tire w/ the spare on my Bronco or Mustangs, those were 15 inch and I was a lot younger... My old Jeep had 16 inch tires had a full size spare and jack, my newer one has a spare and jack, don't recall if it's a space saver or not (the salesman showed it to me for about 5 seconds when I bought it).

Saw a new bright red Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio out front of Ace Hardware, guy was loading it up w/ big bags of mulch and potting soil.
