  1. C8 pre-pro booty pic that's been making the rounds on the FB...
  2. Never had a vehicle w/ the lane keep or blind spot warning, but I can see how it would be useful in traffic. I did have a Tahoe rental with lane keep and it was neat how the seat vibrated. I'm sure I'll have something sooner or later with these features. One feature the higher trims of Jeep have that mine doesn't that I do wish I had were the power folding mirrors...not a safety feature per se, but it would have prevented smashing my mirror backing out of my narrow-ass garage...
  3. I had the ice buildup and no cold air issue w/ my ancient Rheem central air unit last summer. The HVAC tech I called added some refrigerant and re-sealed a couple of the connections with Leak Lock and it runs great now. If I can get another summer out of it, that would be great (1991 vintage unit).
  4. So two days after having to PTS Penny, I'm at the vet for routine vaccinations and the vet discovers a heart murmur in Zo, our 13yr old Yorkie boy. Had him 7 years on July 1st. After an x-ray, the doctor believes he has an enlarged heart and early signs of congenital heart disease...managable w/ meds...I got some meds for him and will be going back next week for blood work. Not a good week...
  5. Thought it was odd they dropped the CX7 and left that gap with no replacement. But Mazda is a small company and can't fill every niche like others can, I guess...
  6. Reminds me of a car a buddy in high school had...it was a silver '66 CdV with a black vinyl top. Black interior..can't recall if it had buckets or not. It was in decent shape for a 20 yr old S. Florida car, not too much rust IIRC. Senior year he spray painted anarchy symbols on the doors (he was a huge punk rock fan...Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, etc. He joined the Army after high school, was in the Gulf War and was killed when he was hit by a bus in Germany in 1994. Yeah, I like geology and geography of NE Ohio..has more in common w/ PA and western NY...Appalachians/Allegheny Plateau meeting the Great Lakes Basin...glaciation and all that. Lots of hills and valleys, gorges...not all flat farmland.
  7. I like the CTS coupe a lot..it grew on me...it's a very distinctive design and I like the sharp angles. The ATS coupe is nice, but it just looks like a 2dr version of a 4dr...not as distinctive.
  8. Went back out to another waterfall this afternoon, Great Falls of Tinkers Creek in Bedford. Several waterfalls are within 20-30 minutes of home. Stopped at Tinkers Creek Tavern for a Lieneklugel and a pretzel on the way home..
  9. Been out enjoying nature today... photos from Brandywine Falls in nearby Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
  10. RIP Penny..our little rescue from Arizona. Had her almost 6 years, her health had been in decline for a while from liver problems, a bad hip and leg..her quality of life was declining. I know it was the right thing to do, but never an easy decision. Sweet little 6 lb Yorkie girl...
  11. Yeah, a Mojito w/ appetizers, 2+ glasses of wine and an after-dinner Hennessy may have been too much... but it was fun. Today is a sad day, though...have to take one of our dogs to the vet to PTS...
  12. Nice..was at Home Depot yesterday also.... when I came out, a black JGC Summit was on my left, and a black '19 JGC Limited X was on my right. Jeeps seem to cluster together in the parking lots.
  13. It was a great day...alas, nasty hangover on Saturday. I can't drink the way I used to.
  14. The US market wants 4dr pickups...2drs just don't sell enough anymore..and they aren't profitable enough, I guess...
  15. The current Dodge Charger and a generation of the Maxima back in the 00s had a slight version of that, where the rear window was recessed slightly between the c-pillars. I'm sure there are others also.
  16. Saw a rare one today. A black ‘87 Buick Regal Turbo T. Looks like a Grand National, but had the T-Type wheels and different badging. In great shape at my local frozen custard stand. Also saw a clean bright orange 70s MG Midget.
  17. GMC has more chrome and their grilles are far larger and blockier than the Tacoma’s. No resemblance in the shape or detail of the grille or lighting clusters either.
  18. I see no resemblance between the Tacoma front end and GMC's overwrought bling.
  19. No dress code that I saw, but I tend to dress up a bit when going to fancy places.. no shorts and t-shirts. Food was delicious.
  20. Getting my Big 80s vibe on tonight with some Roxy Music, from 1980's 'Flesh + Blood'...
  21. Enjoying a Hennessy after dinner at Cleveland's magnificent Marble Room tonight on my birthday. Another year to go until the big 5-0... https://www.marbleroomcle.com
  22. Of the older films, Duel, Vanishing Point and Bullitt are probably my favorites. Of racing-themed movies, I love Grand Prix, Le Mans, Winning and Rush. Of more contemporary movies w/ car chases, Ronin and The Transporter are maybe my favorites...
  23. Maybe Hollywood will make a movie about a possessed self-driving car...with a Tesla, maybe.
  24. Saw it maybe 10 years ago... the hero car was a '67-69 Cuda, the villain drove a modified '71-72 Eldorado IIRC...
  25. Watching it now, in episode 4. Enjoying it, a lot of fun.. (took a break to try and watch the debate, but Hulu kept crashing), so back to the show..
