  1. Yeah, I'm definitely not a clean-desk type of worker...I have no fear of clutter. That's data from over 60 years ago, though...how is relevant to today? The job market and the nature of the economy is very different today.
  2. It's already common knowledge the Bronco will be based on the Ranger, so it will be RWD/BOF. Now the baby Bronco (rumored to be Bronco Scout) will be FWD CUV since it's based on the Escape.
  3. Sadly, I think that was the last it was on the road. I traded it on my ‘14 in March 17 w/ 168k, CarFax showed it sold then got an oil change in May 17, then it showed up at the salvage auction for a towing company in Oct 17 w/ 173k....I bet the transmission failed, it was slipping when I traded it. 9 years in the hell of Arizona took its toll.
  4. I’m used to seeing bicycles hauled on top of vehicles on roof racks or on hitch mounted racks at the rear, would be weird to see them *in* a truck bed. With them raised like that there is room for other content under them.
  5. It will be interesting to see what they go for 2-3 years down the line as CPOs or otherwise used. But at the new price point I wouldn't take one over a GC or Ram 1500... I don't need a truck currently, and the novelty of the removable top would wear off probably. I would like to test drive one, though.
  6. It seems mainstream automakers in their effort to get their first volume EVs out (thinking of the Bolt and Leaf in particular) went down the path of being weird or radically different looking from everything else to get attention, rather than making something normal looking or a variation of an existing model. Toyota similarly did this with the Prius and Mirai, Honda w/ the first couple Insights and the Clarity. Are we now at a point where a dedicated EV can look like a normal model and be accepted? M-B is going this way, will be interesting to see a mainstream brand do it...

This is weird. I can create a new topic in here, but can't add a comment to the EV-curious thread.
  8. I don't have the option to comment on the thread, only follow, yet others that are Members and Premium Subscribers (as I am) are commenting on it. What's up with that?
  9. Speaking of the Gladiator, got a fold out Gladiator mini-brochure (top edge shaped like a mountain range) in the mail along w/ a card from my CDJR dealer inviting me in to test drive the Gladiator...
  10. The 4Runner is quite capable off-road, but is a decade old now and the styling is rather homely, IMO.
  11. 1934ish Chrysler Airflow, I believe. The Airflows were a bold move stylistically, helped usher in streamlined designs amidst the early 30s bricks.
  12. It's funny, I remember my next-door neighbor in Phoenix loved the QX...he had a maroon QX56 and later a black QX80.
  13. About the only google app I use often is Google Maps. Having Google Maps as alternative to the factory nav would be nice. I use Google Maps on my iPhone, is Google Maps accessible via Car Play (if you have it on an iPhone) or Android Auto (if you have it on an Android Phone)? I don't use voice assistants, so that wouldn't be useful to me.
  14. The Rav4 has some very Jeep styling cues in the squared off wheel wells w/ raised black edging and the overall profile. It looks pretty good for the segment. Though the CR-V has sexier taillights.
  15. August...back to school shopping ?
  16. It's outselling the Tacoma and Tundra combined, and ahead of the Camry and Corolla.. wowza
  17. I hate coin change...so I try and avoid using cash whenever possible...but I still end up w/ a lot of change in my cupholders and center console bin.. I drive down to 1/8th tank then fill up when home in the burbs, on road trips I'll let it get down to half a tank if it's an unfamiliar area..
  18. The Turbo version starts at $154k...like other Porsches, there will probably be many variations..probably a base Taycan will be around $100k..
  19. I like how the dash has a very 911 style gauge cluster.. and the use of the touch screens is better integrated than Tesla's giant screen. Looking forward to seeing this in person along w/ the Audi etron GT.
  20. Probably better built, though...high strength steel and CF instead of Tesla's glued-together cardboard , plastic and aluminum (Teslas seem poorly assembled with subpar materials).
  21. It's also 5100lbs, while the Model S is a svelte 4950lbs.
  22. In the realm of hypercar craziness, when will see 0-60 times that are negative...so fast you get to 60 before you started...;)
  23. Yeah, I frequently get my Jeep to 75-80 or more at the merge point when entering traffic on Ohio freeways..was harder to do in Phoenix w/ the metered ramps--there 0-60 is more important. (or some freeway entrances in CA--0-30 with the gridlock and super short ramps).
