  1. 'performance package' and 1.3L seems like an oxymoron...
  2. Sad to see the demise of a long running brand name....so Buick is going to be the rounded generic CUVs and GMC the squared generic CUVs at the same dealer....yawn. Nothing remotely interesting left of the Buick brand in NA.
  3. I do kind of miss Dec through maybe Feb. I loathe May through Sept there though...
  4. Dreary gray morning here in the Cleveland burbs...rain, freezing rain and flurries..glad I don't have to commute.
  5. Odd. Thought ABS was standard on everything 20 years ago.
  6. I don't mind the electronic safety gadgets.. had them in a couple rental cars..was neat the way the seat vibrated in a Tahoe when I went over the center line on a winding AZ road a few years ago. My current Jeep doesn't have them, but my next undoubtably will...progress.
  7. That Citroen Karin and Aston Martin Bulldog were the first concepts I thought of when I saw the Cybertruck...way cool.
  8. Nice..I remember that red lighting from an '05 rental I had over a long weekend in Oregon and the 7 hours of terror going 25 miles in an ice storm...maybe the scariest white knuckle driving I've ever done...driving freeways covered in ice w/ no plowing or salting.
  9. Well, they are only 20 units apart..easy mistake. GM does some odd stuff in how they use w/ alphanumeric trim names and packages...consider ZR1 and ZR2...1 digit different, yet products so different...
  10. Z51 has been a performance package on the Corvette for ages..
  11. Yeah, i think she'd be more inclined to get a 'Nox..she's been renting them in Boston the last few months while on a gig up there. Her Trax is a '15 w/ 15k, FWD..she hates driving it in heavy freeway traffic esp. in winter, too light and underpowered...that's why bought her hooptie STS.. all depends where the next gig is, sick of flying for work every week.
  12. Or a BP station. Their gasoline nozzles are green. As seen on the FB...
  13. https://www.mercurynews.com/2019/11/29/man-spent-thanksgiving-carving-a-tesla-cybertruck-out-of-mashed-potatoes
  14. Yeah, global economy and marketplace. My Jeep was built in Detroit but I think the Pentastar V6 was built in Mexico and the transmission in Germany. My iPhone, iPad and Mac were probably built in China. My Samsung HDTVs probably in SK....my sister's Chevy in SK. Stuff is sourced from many locations. That's the reality of the modern world.
  15. Many things are made in many places. Commerce is complex.
  16. It looks pretty good for the subcompact class.... have to see them at the dealers when they come out, my sister might like one...she's talked about maybe trading her Trax on a 'Nox...
  17. Relaxing on the sofa w/ the furs after a delicious meal at Table 45...food coma. Our Uber downtown was a black w/ black interior Suburban and the return was a black w/ black interior Yukon Denali... love those big GM boats.
  18. Maybe he was referring to the new Tesla Roadster due in the future. Supposed to have outrageous statistics...like 0-60 in less than 0 seconds or something... ?
  19. This one reminds me of a lot late 60s-early 70s Hot Wheels and Tonka truck designs, cab forward w/ big wrap around windows.
  20. Strange times when engines that small are becoming commonplace...
  21. The car from Black Moon Rising (1986)..
  22. She was a hottie, more late 60s and 1970s.
  23. Heh heh...I have no idea how he jumped from future SUVs to Marilyn....her time was long ago and before my time, but of the 1950s women I'd prefer Suzy Parker, Ava Gardner or Sophia Loren....
  24. I assume you are being facetious... anyway, I didn't realize GM was currently doing CVTs in anything.
  25. More like a 1985 movie depicting the year 2000.. Something from 1948 would be a rounded blob. Actually, the Aston's rear carries over the styling themes from their cars...look at the rear of the DB 11 and other current A-Ms...
