  1. Odd...since no more NUMMI, no more US made Corollas? I figured they had moved them to another NA plant...
  2. Sounds like it's mostly for Europe and Asia. Sized like the Fiat Panda or Suzuki Jimny.
  3. Toyota and VWAG seem to be pretty good at global products and platforms.
  4. And on the opposite end of the spectrum, they are supposedly working on Tahoe/Suburban sized models with the Ram-based Wagoneer/Grand Wagoneer...but those rumors have been going around for what seems like a decade...
  5. Maybe they will come out w/ a high performance LT-1 version of the 3 cyl for a Trailblazer SS version...
  6. kilowatts, I would assume...though I see power measured in MJ also.
  7. The V8 I've had the most experience with was the old Ford 5.0... most of the vehicles I've owned have been 6s--- 3 straight 6s and two V6s. Two 4 cyls---a Ford/Mazda 2.0 diesel and a Ford 2.3, both mid 80s. Wouldn't mind having a V8 again at some point, probably a Mopar w/ a modern Hemi.
  8. Well, they have the Maybach GLS... https://www.mercedes-benz.com/en/vehicles/passenger-cars/mercedes-maybach/mercedes-maybach-gls/ Well, the brand slogan is 'the best or nothing'..
  9. Wouldn't surprise me if it was intentionally leaked to create buzz....
  10. Probably an employee in a plant shakily snapped a pic w/ a cheap burner phone...or the fuzzing/darkness is a Snapchat/IG filter..
  11. Well, the good stuff is all RWD/AWD... it's only the entry level GLA and GLB that are FWD/AWD...
  12. Not sure what trim level this is, but would think the grille would be more bling...chromed or lighted rectangles or something...
  13. Will be interesting to see how the side panels and rear look...the front is too much XT6... is there any vertical lighting or just the small horizontal lights?
  14. Personally, I have very little experience w/ GM V8s---the only GM V8 I've had hands on experience with driving often was the '00 DTS w/ the Northstar V8...pretty quiet and smooth, liked it a lot. My folks '85 Winnebago had a 454, drove it a few times, I remember it had a lot of oil leaks and other issues from new. The only older GM car w/ a V8 I drove a few times about 20 years ago was my brother's '68 Camaro SS 396 w/ 4 spd. It was very loud and raw and fast..neat car.
  15. the pic reputed to be the next Escalade I saw had a front very similar to the XT6 but larger...
  16. Not bad at all..there were probably V6s and V8s with less torque around 1980...
  17. Could be worse, how about a 2 cylinder like some Fiats have.... I didn't realize the Renegade was available w/ a 1.0L 3 cylinder in some markets...
  18. A couple great looking late 60s formal roof coupes...the roofline of the '68 Cadillac Coupe de Ville and the '68 Impala Custom Coupe are very similar...look at the length of those quarter panels and rear decks...
  19. Haven't been out much in the last week and half...dreary weather and busy post-holiday... don't think I've seen anything memorable. Went downtown Friday night to see old friends for drinks and Ubered down and back...in Kias...rode in a current-gen Sportage on the way down, interior was more spacious than I thought...on the way back, had a chatty driver in a Soul that got lost/misdirected by his nav a couple times..went about 5 miles further than needed....the Soul was loud under acceleration and lurchy, but that may have been way the driver was using the accelerator like a light switch... I do remember that I caught a glimpse of a light colored '66 Plymouth Fury 4dr ht in a yard somewhere in the Ohio City neighborhood on the Westside of Cleveland...
  20. Definitely some Silverado influence w/ the front end...
  21. This is just their entry level CUV, though...their XT4 competitor...just a lease appliance...nothing serious.
  22. Isn't that the case with any modern full size truck, at least the 4x4 ones? Beds seem very high in general..
  23. Unusual... Fun fact: one list of cloudiest cities in the US has Seattle at #1, Portland, Or at #2 and Cleveland at #5...woo hoo, made the top 5!
