  1. Now the Cadillac website has been updated with photos..I like the interior..
  2. So the page now looks as I posted above with the Introducing.. message. Seeing lots of photos from various sources on the IG....kbb_com, caranddriver, others...just search on #Escalade. Looking at side profile photos the greenhouse seems to be the same as the Tahoe and Yukon, with the differentiation being the bright trim on the C-pillar..all the SWB ones seem to have that kickup in the rear door window bottom edge...looks better in the brown w/ bright trim than the boring white w/ black trim. At least 2-3 different grille treatments.
  3. Si... And since it's now 9:06 in AST, the screen says 'INTRODUCING THE 2021 ESCALADE' in the browser on my server.
  4. It has to be... which is pretty funny. I logged into my VM in my office in Scottsdale, and it shows 3hr 37min, but when I logged into one of my development servers it shows 00hr 37 min (the servers are all on AST, though the data center is in Miami). (using AST because the company HQ is in Barbados).
  5. That still makes no sense. The # of hours isn't going to increase. 9pm EST is not 9pm PST. Unless the announcement is at 9pm in ALL TIME ZONES. Which makes no sense either.
  6. Quite similar to the XT6 headlight/grille arrangement. I much prefer this front design:
  7. That's weird. In any time zone, 9pm EST is still a bit over 2 hrs from now....(9 EST = 7 MST). The site must not take time zone into account, so it's calculating 5 AZ is 4 hrs from 9 (without time zone conversion). Anyway, looking forward to the reveal.
  8. According to the Cadillac site, it's 2hrs 25 min from right now, so 9pm EST. Which would be 7pm MST. 6:36 pm EST here now. You are losing 2 hrs somewhere ? https://www.cadillac.com/future-vehicles/escalade-suv
  9. Looks like the official launch is only in 3hrs (9pm EST).
  10. Saw this IG post on the FB. Apparently the real deal @dfelt @USA-1 https://www.instagram.com/p/B8JkxBOHDiV/?fbclid=IwAR17ylNoVHJDImkT8Q4Q4sHs39XikBOKJRM-Htjh637Ullucr2-w3b2U_lA
  11. To keep it simple, all 2020: UK: Range Rover Velar Japan: Acura NSX France: Alpine A110 (unfortunately not sold in NA) Germany: Mercedes CLS 450 US: Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack wide body in F8 green
  12. Oh yeah, J-Lo's got it going on...Shakira is pretty easy on the eyes also..
  13. Problem is at least 50% or more of the masses in the US don't care about survival of the species..they only care about their imaginary 'afterlife' and want to hasten the 'end times'....
  14. I like that color combo quite a bit....definitely prefer it to flashier colors like bright red and yellow.
  15. Yesterday on Day 3 of my impromptu road trip didn't see too much that was interesting, even though the weather was perfect--sunny, dry and warm, though Februrary. Did spot what appeared to be an aqua and white two-tone '57 Ford Skyliner in the woods along I-95 in SC. Saw a clean white and yellow Nash Metropolitan driving along a frontage road off I-26 in SC when I grabbed some lunch at a Zaxby's (pretty tasty chicken sandwich). Did see a number of sharp modern Chargers, Challengers, 300s, Mustangs, the occasional Camaro (saw more 5th than 6th gens). Though most of the traffic was CUVs, SUVs, and trucks...was planning to stop for the night in Charleston, WV but had a burst of energy and pushed on to home.. Today been catching up on rest at home, and it got up to almost 60 degrees! Sunny, blue sky..not what I'm used to in February in Cleveland.
  16. Well, it's a 2015 with 22k miles. In the last 3 years it's been on 3 road trips..my sister drove it from Phoenix to Cleveland, Cleveland to West Palm Beach, and I just drove from West Palm Beach to Cleveland. Very different experience from how I remember driving 4 cyl cars long distances 25-30+ years ago. Surprisingly smooth, the most noise was tire noise. It's a decent little car to drive. A little twitchy in crosswinds. But had enough power to pass slow moving traffic going uphill through the VA/WV mountains on I-77..
  17. Got home in time to see the end of the Super Bowl. Safe and sound after the unplanned weekend road trip. Had perfect weather today (sunny, dry and mild). Drove from Beaufort,SC up through Charlotte, NC through Charleston, WV to Cleveland. Easy drive, the Trax drove great, cruising at 70-80 easily. A bit tight for two with a lot of luggage, but it worked. Taking the next two days off to rest and help my sister around (has one of those ski boot style casts).
  18. Drove a couple hundred miles Friday night after flying into West Palm Beach, in heavy rain up the coast to Daytona Beach. This morning I watched SUVs driving back and forth on Daytona Beach from my 8th floor hotel room, incl a dark red GC Trackhawk or SRT. Rainy, foggy and windy. Later on I-95 in GA I saw a very clean white w black top ‘70 Bonneville 4dr ht cruising along. Saw a red Challenger Hellcat Redeye widebody. Trax running fine. Tired, stopped early near Beaufort, SC.
  19. Cool. Will have to check out the videos.
  20. I wasn't aware they had shown an electrified F-150..but maybe I haven't been paying attention..I knew they were working with electric F150 mules at one point. I found this, hadn't seen this article from a couple days ago... https://insideevs.com/news/395662/render-ford-electric-pickup-truck/
  21. The Rivian pickup is a single configuration, as is the Highlander. So I could see a Ford EV truck on the Rivian platform in a single configuration. Make sense?? I don't think I ever said F150 specifically...I just said 'Ford truck'. i was just speculating. I don’t know what’s going to happen. Obviously from the context of the thread I'm talking about the upcoming Ford EV truck, not the ICE F-series that's their moneymaker..that's not going to go away...
  22. I didn't say they would. But for an EV pickup, there may be only one configuration at first...has Ford even said the EV truck would branded as an F150? It may be something altogether different, as far the naming...
  23. Who knows, they may go the route of the R1T with a only single configuration. I guess it all depends on how serious Ford is about building a EV truck..is it simply a marketing stunt for Ford, or are they committed?
  24. Gakk...that thing is a special kind of hideous... tasteless bling trash.
  25. Maybe they have come up with means of fitting batteries, electric motors, etc into a modified F150 frame...Rivian technology integrated w/ Ford hardware... But I don't know..on the hand, it sounds like the Lincoln EV SUV could be a reskinned R1S w/ a Lincoln interior... could a Ford pickup be a reskinned R1T with a Ford interior? Only time will tell...(Note, I'm OBVIOUSLY talking about a FUTURE FORD EV PICKUP, NOT the regular ICE F series). (wish I could put this in 36 pt font).
