  1. It’s always good to stock up on toilet paper, though. I always like to keep at least a dozen rolls on hand in each bathroom, and a couple dozen extra stashed away.
  2. He’s doing what he can to protect his financial interests. He couldn’t care less for the citizenry except for his base and how he can exploit their fears.
  3. I like the front end on the late Grahams...saw one at a show once. Some Streamline Moderne/art deco influences in that front trim..
  4. Ok, so the bulb was sealed in the lens/reflector housing..I remember how the big round lights used on '60s-70s cars looked when removed... There was some variety in headlight lens shapes in the 30s, IIRC from pictures I've seen the '39 Plymouth for example had squarish lights.
  5. Pretty much all automakers in the US went to sealed beam in '40, didn't they? Never was sure why they were called 'sealed beam'...so were their predecessors 'non sealed' ?
  6. Quite different now for starting out than in the 90s I would think..
  7. Well, my Masters degree is in Computer Science. It's served me well the last 25+ years...degrees that are relevant to growth fields are always a good idea..
  8. Reality is complex..going to be interesting what happens over the next few months.
  9. The best $15k, 20k, 25k 30k vehicles in my opinion are a 3 yr old CPOs...just too many dull FWD 4cyl appliances under $30k.
  10. True, and the full size SUVs are new, as is the Corvette. The rest of their US product line is just forgettable FWD appliances.
  11. Can't think of a much, beyond a couple 4 cyl gray interior despair mobiles like the Mirage and Spark...
  12. Which are being built...ChargePoint, etc...
  13. It definitely wasn't an S-class... dark blue cloth interior IIRC..strange, funky little hatchback.
  14. Everything I've read about it is that it is a trouble prone POS, esp. those stupid falcon doors...
  15. Driving in Italy is definitely an adventure...I enjoyed my vacations there back in the mid 00s...driving a diesel manual Mercedes A140 from Rome to Pompeii and Salerno (along the Amalfi coast) and back was an adventure. And driving from Milan to the lakes up north in a Vectra diesel was fun. I remember the fast food at Spizzico's in the Autogrill rest areas to be tasty.
  16. Maybe $25k-30k to start....there really isn't much of a market at $15k is there?
  17. GM won't be dependent on a proprietary charging network, though? I assume they are building product to use the standard charging stations..
  18. Really cool...I do like airports and aircraft in terms of the infrastructure and operational aspects...
  19. It depends on the individual use case...I wouldn't want a truck for hauling stuff that I haul maybe a dozen or so times a year. And anything large I'll get delivered. In my adventures in suburbia, my SUV is fine for my needs.
  20. It is going to be interesting the next few years to watch the new GM EVs and see how they are received in the market and how they sell...
  21. Well, since it is BOF, it has truck DNA.. definitely not a CUV. People still refer to truck-based SUVs like Tahoes, etc as trucks. Yes, and those bags often leak. But I have a Weathertech mat and a liner in the back of my Jeep. I haul many bags of molch, grass seed, pottering soil, small trees, shrubs, etc during planting season.
  22. The Bronco is looking good. https://www.roadandtrack.com/new-cars/future-cars/a31399894/2021-ford-bronco-spy-shots-leaked/?utm_medium=social-media&utm_source=facebook&utm_campaign=socialflowR%26T&fbclid=IwAR3iaYg9EnR9brW7RBWQyznLI1BCCQeuh831WAFkDUjWOCbj4H3deyrzTIw
  23. Subaru tried the Baja a decade ago or so, didn't last long. On target for this discussion about mini pickups Jalopnik did an article today on the Chevy Montana in Brazil...based on an old Opel Corsa. https://jalopnik.com/heres-the-12-000-chevy-pickup-truck-we-dont-get-in-ame-1842244435
  24. GM could do an EV pickup version of the Bolt.
