  1. The G6 is your entry level Pontiac coupe, the GTO is the premium one. Like or leave it.
  2. I think it's a strengthening thing on the convertible..lessens windshield frame shake.. or since the coupe has it also.---with the slope of the glass and shape of the door, a full-width window probably probably wouldn't lower all the way..
  3. I wonder how the G6 convertible will compare..
  4. At lunch today I saw a white '66 Olds Dynamic 88 ht in nice shape. Parked next to a totally worn out '90s under-Achieva.
  5. It would be cool to build a modern version of that from an Escalade... MEGA BLING! 4 Northstars... 4 wheel drive..stretched front end..
  6. Hmmm..or maybe a slightly disguised version of the G6 coupe. Given how the 9-2X and 9-7X came about, I wouldn't be surprised to see something like this. I still think Saab needs a 3-dr version of the 9-3.
  7. Here's my city's skyline, similar angle to how I see it everyday in my 'hood. It looks best from the east, though, with the Front Range in the background..
  8. Spotlights were a popular customizing trick (factory option?) in the '50s, I think.. I wonder if they are functional..
  9. It would be cool to have a Sky and replace the badging with Opel GT parts (grille trim, emblems, etc).
  10. Senior citizens. The Gray Panthers were/are a senior citizen activist group..
  11. Yes...B&W, dark, wet street, headlight beams... elements that made older advertising great!
  12. Winding road.
  13. .Yes, the rare '71 Vega SS 454 ht Not a ht, but Ford had a convertible Vega in '53 (one-off).

  15. No- this was in the '60s- to figure out how to make real power, undoubtedly. And yes- I'm sure mercedes has learned much about building automatics from GM- many have tried to better them in the past and failed. I was referring to Lexus..2006.
  16. And it's shorter than the crew cab.
  17. The new Avalanche looks great, IMHO...it doesn't have the stupid flat-topped fender openings of the old model or the chessy cladding. It looks clean and refined, with a vastly improved interior...what's not to love? The GMT 900 is such a vastly improved vehicle over the old...
  18. happy
  19. Maybe..I do wonder how long they can keep going on... I saw them a few years ago in Vegas and it was a great show..lots of energy and lasted almost 3 hrs.
  20. The tilt column thing seemed absurdly nit-picky to me.. I think my Jeep only has 5 positions...I didn't realize any car had more than that. I don't see any Camry, but I see a lot of Passat in the C-pillars and tail. The front would look better without a different headlight treatment, IMHO.... something more horizontal would look better...(and wider Buick taillights).

  22. Similar here..I had about 20 of coworkers and friends over...it looked great on the big screen HDTV..
  23. The Camry Hybrid ad was just too schmaltzy... My favorite ad was probably the first Bud Light ad with the guys trashing their office (cube farm).... it hit home since I live that life and the thought of everyone freaking out and joyfully trashing the place is irresistible... smile.gif I liked the Fed Ex caveman one also.
