  3. Potential buyers notice things like that, though... 4 < 5, 4 < 6. Regardless of whether it is reliable, GM's 4-speed is old...4-speed automatics were adequate 10 years ago...
  4. Meander Green must be the color I saw..the color chip charts I found on the web called it 2004 'Yellow-Green Metallic' or 2005 'Fine Sublime Green Metallic' but whatever..it's an interesting color.

  10. I also like Sunburst and Bermuda Blue (both '07 Avalanche colors), and Slate Blue Metallic (H3)....or Sharkskin, Sagemist, Dark Garnet Red, Crimson Pearl, White Opal and Ming Blue (all Lucerne colors)... these would all make interesting, distinctive Camaro colors, IMHO..
  11. There isn't...the car pictured at the linked article (blue one) had a lot of camo that made it look lumpy...the pics I posted are Photoshopped, I presume...

I have no idea what colors the '09 Camaro will be offered in (besides the obvious silver, white, black, bright red), but I saw a color this morning that would be perfect--it's a modern yet retro apple green (don't know the Chevy name of the color) that I saw on a late model Avalanche. Beautiful color, IMHO that looks very much like something from the late '60s-early '70s..I think the Camaro would great in it..

  14. Test mule...hard to say what the production car will look like.. There was a concept illustration a couple years ago that was very sexy...it had fwd opening rear doors, much sleeker, much more 911-ish.. Of course, they could just take the Cayenne and replace the bodywork aft of the rear doors with a conventional C-pillar and trunk.. Probably will look more like this: or this?? Or this...
  15. Yeah..too wasteful, IMHO... I work with a guy that commutes at least 40 miles a day in an F350 Super Duty crew cab duallie. I would not want his diesel bills...
  16. My Jeep is 72.3 inch wide..I don't think I really want a car or SUV wider than that..any wider and it would a pain to park in garages and lots... a Lexus LS460 is only 73.8 inches wide, and it's just about the perfect size for a big luxury car today, IMHO..
  17. Americans responded to cars getting smaller over the last 15 years buy buying bigger and bigger SUVs and trucks as they got fatter. Look how massive full size trucks are today..

    I'd like to see a profile shot..it looks like the proportions are pretty good, with less of the usual FWD front overhang... The styling is very Dodge, and will fit in nicely between the Caliber and Charger, I think...

In 20 years of driving, my guesstimated breakdown of miles driven per configuration is: RWD/manual: 30% RWD/automatic: 10% 4WD (RWD most of the time)/manual: 20% 4WD (RWD most of the time)/automatic: 35% FWD/manual: 3% FWD/automatic: 2% I've only driven a few AWD cars, but I'd probably lump them in with FWD (Audi A4, S4, and Subaru Legacy).

About 15 years ago, when my '87 Mustang GT still had its original Goodyear Eagles, I spun it out (did 180, missed the guardrail) in heavy rain while accelerating up a curved entrance ramp onto the PA turnpike...scary, scary.. (lucky no one was behind me) and a couple times in the late '90s I got caught out in it in an unexpected snowfall (going from a clear, sunny evening at 5280 feet to a sudden snowfall at 8500 feet over a pass)..very scary also--had to make very careful throttle and steering inputs..another time, I caught some black ice in a shaded corner on a twisty switchback road at about 9k ft elevation on a sunny summer day...spun around 180 and came within a foot of a guardrail above a 500ft drop-off.. (about filled my pants that day). My old 4cyl Mustang LX I had in college was pretty drivable in foul weather with snow tires on all four corners and weights in the trunk..it didn't have enough power to get into trouble..
