    In Bloom

I never got into Nirvana..they were big my junior and senior year in college, but as far as Seattle bands, I was more into Pearl Jam and Soundgarden at the time..
  2. I'm sure the Camry is getting plenty of repeat customers...two people in my office bought new Camrys recently...one was getting their 3rd, the other their 4th..
  3. Case in point..last year, my 75 year old mother wanted to trade in her 43k mile '96 Explorer...I didn't push BMWs on her (she wouldn't enjoy them the way I do) or Jeeps, and she went and bought a Navigator, because she and my late father always liked and had good luck with Lincolns (she also has a '98 Town Car). She's been happy with her purchase.. I'm not sure about 'import-humping spawn', but I'm a 30-something fan of BMWs and other European marques, my 40-something sister drives Mercedes and Jeep products, but my 50-something brother sticks with Fords..
  4. Maybe they have some strong sales in some regions..I rarely ever see them..I see Caravans, Oddeseys, and Siennas daily...
  5. I didn't know it existed..
  6. The 350Z is definitely a sports car..the Z's have always been sports cars....different market and price point than the Vette..
  7. Sweet...looks very nice..I like that reddish-brown..a nice change from beige and the endless depressing gray interiors...
  8. A 4dr SS would be a good move..the 4dr sport compact market is growing, what with the 4dr Civic Si, Mazdaspeed 3, etc..
  9. I've seen a few here in Denver..probably from Zap. They had one on display at the Denver Auto Show last April..sticker price $25k. Too bad the Smart roadster is no more..I've seen them in Europe..really neat little sports car.
  10. Yeah, most likely if I move it will be out of Denver and into a bigger house in the Denver suburbs like Greenwood Village, Centennial, or Highlands Ranch. I have thought of a more distant change of venue, but that would depend on work... I'm getting pretty bored with my current job (though the money and benefits make it hard to leave).
  11. I'll take one of those and a SL63.. I do love the top-dog Mercs..
  12. I don't see anything wrong with the interior..typical GM steering wheel, radio, etc...
  13. Cool.. also, that looks like a shifter for a manual transmission in that center pic..
  14. I'm watching..go blue!
  15. In chronological order: Steubenville, Ohio 9 years (overlapping w/ PW, Oh) Port Washington, Ohio 18 years Marathon, Florida 6 years (overlapping w/ PW, Oh) Kent, Ohio 4 years Hudson, Ohio 2 years Ann Arbor, Michigan 3 years Chicago, Illinois <1 year Colorado Springs, Colorado 5 years Phoenix, Arizona < 1 year Denver, Colorado 4.5 years And I've also worked in San Jose and Oakland, California (while living in Colorado). Next year? Either stay in Denver or move...
  16. Correct..I assume it will be about the same size as the Aura and G6, since they all will have the same wheelbase.
  17. $23k for a Hemi Charger seems like a bargain, considering the civilian ones are $35k+.
  18. Leave BOF to the past..
  19. A FWD sedan with a 4spd automatic is hardly an S-class competitor...
  20. A Holden Commodore rebadge with V8 and RWD would be infinitely better than the current ugly Grand Prix with its FWD and ancient 4-spd automatic, IMHO.. It would be great for GM to come up with a uniquely styled Grand Prix on the Zeta platform, but if they can't do it, the rebadge approach is better than nothing...
  21. Those Rivs are sharp..a friend of mine in college that was black drove a sweet '81 Electra coupe.. kept it clean even through the crummy Ohio winters...dark red, red cloth interior, white top, whitewalls and Buick mags..sweet car.
  22. I went to college with a Richard Head...he went by Dick.. no joke.
  23. True enough... after all, the interior is where the driver spends their time, it better look and feel like quality in a $40k (or whatever price) vehicle...
  24. I didn't do it..I stayed with my Grand Cherokee... but I have consultant friends one bought a Yukon Denali XL and another bought an LR3--that took advantage of it..they use the vehicle as a business expense to drive to and from home and their clients during the week, haul the family on the weekend. I didn't really seriously consider it..I really don't want anything bigger than my GC...
  25. Ahh...body style, not model name...Targa!
