  1. Agreed..as a secular humanist/atheist/functional realist, I think people need to keep their religous beliefs to themselves, IMHO..it has no place in public life... If I were sworn into office, I'd swear on a tome like Donald Knuth's 'The Art of Computer Programming, Vol. I' or a calculus book..things I consider to contain the truth.
  2. Yes, it does seem a bit short-sighted to leave the market completely... Chrysler, Toyota and Honda still build competitive models in this market, why can't GM??
  3. The fenders probably weigh 200 lbs a piece (it's a 6000 lb truck, right?).
  4. They did something strange to the rear bumper..made it squared off and wierd. I noticed the same thing on the Tahoe Hybrid pics a while back.
  5. It's probably better to leave that niche to Pontiac (Torrent) or GMC.. A big luxury coupe/convertible (Zeta based, not an Epsilon like the G6) would be nice for Buick..but that would probably overlap with a possible CTS coupe/convertible..
  6. It hit here (Denver) Tuesday night...snowed off-and-on all day Wed..got about 6 inches..my company closed the offices Wed at 2. Got cold Wed night (below zero)..it's been warming up into the 30s yesterday and today.. In sharp contrast, I was in NE Ohio last Wed-Sun for Thanksgiving--unbelivable--5 days of sun, 3 days over 60! I was in Cleveland Sunday and saw convertibles w/ the tops down..that is extremely rare late November weather for NE Ohio.
  7. It was a good article..unusual to see Toyota/Lexus end up in last place. Of these, I'd probably go for the Merc or Audi..the Audi has my favorite interior, and the exterior of the Audi and Merc are my favorites (though the Jag looks sweet also). I don't care for the BMW's Bangled styling or moronic iDrive. I'd prefer the SWB versions of them, though.. if it were a comparison of SWB full-sizers, I'd want to see the goregous Quattroporte included. Any of these would make for my ultimate commuter car..
  8. Good to hear..maybe the senile old fool will check into a nursing home now.
  9. Interesting..similar style. I like the tan & poo brown interior colors..
  10. Well, Nissan built the Cube and Toyota built the bB/xB..this is no more outrageous than them...
  11. Duty now for the future! Fit is go! Step Bus of tommorow, here today!
  12. Hmmm..but it is in the Caddy section, so how about a Cadillac version of the Aveo/Wave?
  13. I haven't seen these 15 spokers, but I like the 7-spoke Enclave wheels in the press photos and the Lucerne's 10 spoke wheels. 5-spoke wheels in general have been waaay overused, IMHO..I like some of the multispoke designs for some variety.
  14. Interesting...a Monte Carlo-esque quarter window and C-pillar with a Bangled (think Z4) decklid. It's definitely different..will give the G6, Accord and Solara coupes some competition..hasn't it been rumoured Ford may do a Fusion coupe?
  15. Looks great, IMHO...a big improvement over the current model. I like the unusual blue and the interior.
  16. Neat concept..too bad it's orange. And that's horsehide, not cowhide inside... beautiful design overall, IMHO..
  17. So I wonder when the Rendezvous, Rainier and Terrazo are going away...
  18. Yawn...looks pretty dated.
  19. I like the unusual lighting arrangement..build it like that without a body, and they'd have an Ariel Atom competitor... (I think the Atom would be a lot of fun to have for a sunny day, twisty backroads-of-Ohio fun kind of car)...
  20. Interesting..first time the Sebring convertible and sedan have shared front ends, I think..looks smaller than the previous model.
  21. Sweet looking wagon... looks pretty much the same as the concept. I'm predicting it will be a hit.
  22. Maybe the Camaro belongs to a mechanic that works in the dealer or something.
  23. Hmm...don't know.I don't track the gallons, just the $ amount in Quicken.
  24. It looks like the AMT 1:25th scale Camaro concept model is out now..they are on ebaY. I've got two on order, and have seen photos of the kit contents on modeling forums, likes like it's going to be pretty nice.
  25. I've been happy w/ my video iPod..I mostly use it at work and on airplanes. Like other Apple products, it just plain works and works well. I buy the occasional single track off iTunes, but mostly I've just been ripping my CDs.
