    Camaro V8

A base Mustang GT has 300 hp...I can't see Chevy selling a V8 model with 50% more power for about the same price...I just don't see it happening... maybe a 300 hp Camaro and 450 hp top-end model, though.. I wonder if Chevy will resurrect some of the old Camaro trim levels... Z-28, SS, RS, maybe?
  2. Interesting..I've heard of limited-slip differentials, but I'd never heard that acronym... then again, I'm not a hardware guy.
  3. Interesting..I've heard of limited slip differentials in the context of '60s muscle cars, not in the context of modern cars...I would expect traction control to be there.
  4. I took that as the underlying theme of the ad...a committment to quality.
  5. LSD? What's that? Not familiar with that TLA..
  6. Interesting... I like the front, but the rear..I wonder what the function of the ugly thingy below the license plate is..
  7. Handsome truck... I don't see the regular cabs very often..like the color.
  8. I was surprised not to see a Cadillac ad (unless I missed it). Where's Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit?
  9. Obesity, like with American people, is a common problem with most all American trucks, SUVs, and crossovers... that's just the way it is here, I guess.
  10. I liked the robot one... the ads (overall, not just GM) have been so-so this year, IMHO. But I loved the Prince half time show...(Purple Rain in the rain!)
  11. Yes... I'd love M5-ish performance and style but at a cheap Pontiac price.. The G8 is definitely very appealing to me as a BMW owner (older M3). But the '08 CTS is also very appealing to me... it's great to see domestics on my radar again. The Charger does nothing for me..I don't care for interior or exterior styling and the lack of manual option rules it out.
  12. I like watching the Super Bowl for the ads, I'll admit. I'll probably TiVo through parts of the game to see the ads.. But I am cheering on the Bears since my Broncos didn't make it.
  13. Ah yes, Lake Effect snow..fun stuff...I remember that from when I lived in the Cleveland-Akron area from '88-94. There were huge regional variations in snow fall..and in Cleveland itself I remember it snowing horizontally (wind off the lake).. We had our coldest night of the winter here Thursday night-- -18F (set a record). It's up to 45 and sunny now, with some melting--it's snowed at least once a week for the last seven weeks..this is probably the worst winter I've seen in the last 9 years in Colorado. And it's only February..we normally get our biggest snows here in March and April..
  14. Strange how some people don't like hatchbacks... I would never buy a compact or subcompact like this with a trunk..that hatchback is infinitely more useful and looks better, IMHO...
  15. I like the standard model front end better than the Red Line...I don't care for the 'mouth wide open' fascia of the Red Line..
  16. I'd like to see with a diesel and a 6spd manual...that would be the ultimate combination..
  17. He gets more drama this way, though..
  18. Looks great... GM finally has an appealing compact for NA...the Cobalt has zero interest to me, but this is definitely appealing....
  19. Well, yes, but the # of Asian trucks sold in the US in the 50s was extremely small, so....
  20. Interesting...well, with the Malibu, Aura and next LaCrosse, GM certainly has the midsize FWD market covered...making Pontiac unique and all RWD would be one way to revive the brand...
  21. But the CV is 90% or so fleet sales, isn't? It would be interesting to see a comparison of consumer sales between the two..
  22. I think I will hit 100k with my Jeep GC at about the 9 year mark (76k at 6.5 years so far). Then I'll be ready for a new daily driver. Though it is cool that there are vehicles that will go 250k or more... but I wouldn't want to drive one that long..I think I'd get bored with the same vehicle decade after decade..
  23. They are kind of irrelevant, I think...how many people really keep a car that long? 100k miles (<10 years for me) is about as long as I'd want to keep a daily driver...
  24. Mercury has been among the living dead of brands for years...unless Ford can craft a unique style with some unique models for it (not Fords with different plastic trim), then I see no point in continuing it...
  25. I'm looking forward to seeing the new G35...I like the current one..haven't driven one, but have ridden them a couple times..a couple weeks ago, a coworker bought a dark blue '06, pretty sweet, a big step up from his old Cavalier..(though the Cav was probably better in snow).
