The last photo (color pic) looks like a villain from 'On Her Majesty's Secret Service'..the 1969 George Lazenby Bond film. Her name was something like Rosa Klebb (sp?), IIRC. Edit: the character's name was 'Irma Bunt'. Not sure who Rosa Klebb was. The actor was Ilse Steppat, died in 1969 at age 52. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0064757/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 Edit: Rosa Klebb was a female villain in 1963's 'From Russia With Love', Sean Connery's 2nd outing as 007.

That detail I don't remember...the color reminds of Firethorn. I think they dropped the 4 after '85...late 80s-early 90s a 2.8 V6 was the base engine IIRC.

With those rub strips on the front fascia, I'd say it a base trim '86-90. Interesting how it's parked up on a raised platform...car dealer?

It is crazy.. I may go to an NE Ohio beach this weekend, but not get out of my Jeep...just drive around and sight see....don't want to go around plague-infested humans.

Fabulous Flops: Chrysler 2.2L and 2.2L Turbo I
Robert Hall replied to Blake Noble's topic in Opinion
The only 80s Chrysler products I've seen on the road in the last 3 years in NE Ohio have been maybe a couple tired, rusty full size vans and a couple rusty 1st gen vans. In Arizona between '08-17 I did see the occasional tired, faded M-body Diplomat or Fifth Avenue bumping around, a couple TC by Maseratis (last time I saw one, it was broken down on the side of I-10) and 1 R-body Newport (saw it three times driving through my neighborhood over 9 years). -
Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
Robert Hall replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
I've spent $45 on gas total over the last 4 months...;) In the before pandemic time, I was spending maybe $70/month on gas. When I lived in AZ, I was spending $50-60 a week on gas. Having no commute makes a big difference. -
And now for something completely random...whilst listening to a podcast, there was a discussion of 2+2 (4 seat) rear-mid engined cars--a very small space--only a handful have been built over the years. Lamborghini Urracco, Ferrari GT4 and Mondial, and the Lotus Evora is the only one currently in production. Made me wonder--has their ever been a production 4dr, 4 seat rear-mid engined car? I know of plenty of 4dr rear engined cars (Corvair, some Renaults, etc)....but a 4dr rear-mid? Can't think of one...

The greenhouse looks a lot like the Silverado. The front looks much better than the fugly current Silverado.

Alternative Fuels & Propulsion RANDOM
Robert Hall replied to G. David Felt's topic in Electric Vehicles and Alternative Fuels
Yeah, there is that..but we here are all 'guilty' of that. That's the reality of transportation now..still a while before EVs become a realistic option for many. -

Not sure about the coal---he doesn't have diesels, and the PNW gets it's power via hydroelectric, not filthy coal. I was curious about how much coal-powered power production is left in the US, seems like only 3 still active in my state (2 in the county I lived in as a kid). My power now comes from nuclear plants. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_coal-fired_power_stations_in_the_United_States -
Hopefully Stellantis won't be sinking into the ocean like Atlantis..

Haven't seen a K car on the road in ages..I think they all rusted out around here. -
Ouch. Wonder if it has suspension and other underneath damage. A little bondo and paint...

May they have more success than the last Latin-named Chrysler parent (Cerebus)...

Probably no panels in common. The ES is based on the Camry platform, though.
-
Nothing remotely to do with the Camry. You are thinking of the ES. The GS has a proper RWD platform, not transverse engine FWD shit. I've read the GS is decent sports sedan.

Yeah, I did that with my username a year or so ago, got tired of Cubical and Moltar. Rob or Robert, never, ever Bob. Hope your hand heals well. I'm wondering if I'm developing arthritis...after a day of computing, my right middle finger (and only that finger) gets very painful. Not sure if it's from typing or mousing, though I tend to use the Mac trackpad more than the mouse (that is mostly thumb movements).

You changed your handle on here, I see..

Yeah, I could see EVs being commodity appliances. But are enough people willing to drop $40k or more on an unknown brand appliance? Maybe if they are made available as monthly subscriptions/leases... I could see someone 'subscribing' to an EV online, have it delivered to their house, then use it for a period of time (24 months?), subscription is up, it gets picked up and disposed of, a new, improved one is dropped off....just like a phone... strange new world..
