  1. Was out and about in my neighborhood this afternoon and saw not one but two Cadillac ELRs within a couple blocks…a dark red one and a pearl white one. Also saw two CT6s (dark gray and black) and a CT4 V series in bright blue.
  2. I saw a black regular wheelbase G90 at the post office recently. It’s a sharp car. But I prefer the styling of my black CT6 parked a couple spaces over. As far as current luxobarges, I like the Audi A8 styling over the other Germans.
  3. It's one of those tiresome, overdone trends...like black wheels or gray houses with black window trim. I'd assume the LWB G90 has a demand in S. Korea. In a world full of dull CUVs and SUVs, though, it is nice to see someone making a full size sedan...the LWB version has a 132.7 inch wheelbase.
  4. Yes. I don't mind the black on black w/ my CT6 because I have plenty of shiny bits inside and out and some other color inside w/ the wood trim. I couldn't stand everything black.
  5. Interesting...I like the look of the G90 exterior and interior... don't really care for the monochromatic treatment, though. I like this G90 interior color scheme more..
  6. Yes. My company is about 50% remote in the US and 50% in Plano. They just acquired a small company in NYC. They are building a GCC in Mumbai, so it will be interesting how much future work goes offshore.
  7. As one employed by a growing Texas fintech (albeit w/ mostly California Silicon Valley C-level management), I'm a bit conflicted by the Texas aspect of my employer...but I do like my core Ohio group of the company (my department is mostly an Ohio and Colorado team that was acquired by the Texas company 3 years ago) and really don't interact much w/ the Texas teams.
  8. I've never been to Austin..but heard good things about the food and music scene there. About the only place in Texas I've spent a few days in is Plano, and that's been for work. So much sprawl around the DFW area. I had an interview and job offer in Addison 25 years ago, but decided to move to Denver instead (was living in Colorado Springs at the time).
  9. I remember reading she lived in Austin, Tx for a while in the 70s, knew Stevie Ray Vaughan when he was an up and coming guitarist in the local music scene there...a lot of great blues musicians came out of Texas.
  10. I remember Allegiant used to fly in and out of Mesa Gateway Airport instead of Sky Harbor in the Phoenix area. Never flown them. I flew Frontier a lot when I lived in Colorado (they were Denver based 20 years ago), flew Southwest a lot then and when I lived in Arizona. I've flown very little since moving back to Ohio in 2017, doing more road trips than flying. I like Delta and American.
  11. Reminds me of a van-based double cab pickup like the old VW T1 and T2 Dokka.
  12. So this is Audi's smallest crossover..the shape reminds me of the 1st gen Trax. .the funny thing is their top crossover--the Q8--has a very similar profile but is about 30 inches longer.
  13. I haven't seen any photos or diagrams of the new Charger internals, but it's the only domestic I can think of that is available in both ICE and EV with the same styling and platform...would be interesting to compare the floor and underside of each (Some of GM's EVs like the Silverado and Equinox share a name but little else w/ the ICE versions).
  14. Kind of feeling like 2020 again... holding off on excess spending..though I do have some home remodeling projects I want to do in the next year... no car payments, Jeep (80k miles) and Cadillac (60k miles) running fine... will be a while before I need another vehicle (also have my sister's Equinox w/ 10k miles for around town driving). Work is going well, 5% raise for this year, got my annual and quarterly stock grants laid out for this year, company stock staying stable for now.
  15. Yeah...I'm a bit uncertain about my upcoming flight in May to Colorado for vacation.
  16. I like the look. Clean and subtle. I can only imagine what a mess the aftermarket could make of it.
  17. Maybe 2018 or 2019 I was at a lakeside bar and they had a jukebox...I remember it was September and a Packers game was on. What was playing was a variety of pop and country pop songs...I selected Pearl Jam's 'Black', Nirvana's 'Teenage Spirit' and Soundgarden's 'Black Hole Sun' to lighten up the mood with some classic grunge..
  18. It was sad..I've seen him in many movies..great actor. Bonnie and Clyde (his first role that got attention), French Connection and French Connection Il, Narrow Margin, The Firm, Twilight, Night Moves, Superman and Superman II, The Package, Mississippi Burning, Absolute Power (with his contemporary Clint Eastwood), to name a few...
  19. My sister had a 1st gen..it was meh.. I did drive a rental Dodge Nitro (which was based on the 2nd gen Liberty IIRC)--the exterior was painfully ugly...and was very cheap and nasty gray inside. The Daimler-Chrysler era was not a good period for Chrysler interiors in general, IMO.
  20. The previous Liberty was known for being cheap and nasty inside, not a good image for a premium EV.
  21. Reality is complex.
  22. When the Charger EV fails hard which I suspect it will, will they offer a Hellcat version to try to get back buyers?
  23. Just seems odd being named Wagoneer since it looks nothing like the much larger Wagoneer..probably part of their ill-fated attempt to separate Wagoneer from Jeep as a sub-brand...(like Land Rover and Range Rover).
