  1. Okay... #1 - It's stated on the Buick website that the front and rear defrosters turn on when the remote start is used on the Lucerne and the temp is below 40 degrees. Is this true for the LaCrosse as well? It doesn't say. #2 - It says the Lucerne features a 4-speed electronically controlled transmission that is "enhanced". Enhanced in what way? Finally, why on Earth has the Lucerne only been given 1-auto down window?! I mean, even the Rainier features 2... as well as the competition mostly has dual auto down windows (with auto up). What's goin' on here? It can't cost THAT much more money, can it?
  2. Interesting, because I've never had difficulty reading gauges in direct sunset glare from behind in a 2001 ES and a 2003 Accord EX. The gauges are very bright, and easily legible in all lighting. No one said gauges had to be a 72p font, but no one said they had to be small in general either.
  3. See, I'm confused about this. The forum title says "2007 Buick LaCrosse Super" but inside the thread, it talks about being a 2008 model. Which is it?
  4. [quote name='Croc' date='Oct 21 2005, 02:22 PM'] I've had no problem with those guages. Neither has my family. Rendezvous is one of our preferred rental vehicles. [post="32205"][/post] [/quote] [post="32291"][/post] [/quote] See, this is what I meant about the gauges being difficult to read. You can barely see the numbers. Albeit I'm not in the actual vehicle, but it's not actually clear lik most other gauges are from a distance.
  5. The gauges in the Rendezvous are horrendous.. since the thing came out critics have complained they're hard to read when the sun shines on them. I hope the new one gets some nice clear gauges.
  6. WONDERFUL. I was so pleased when I read that article. Yes, Saturn has had lackluster product and craptacular sales in the past several years, but if people know them for that type of company that they are, then when they finally do get the product right (Aura, Sky), people will FLY to Saturn.
  7. Well, does this mean the taillamps will be altered as well? As for the front, I'm surprised there is no rush to try and get this out by the 2007 MY because of the non-ground-breaking sales of the LaCrosse. I mean, the car is "ok". Tweaking it with a new front/rear, hi-po engine and updated suspension will move the car into a new territory--maybe even make it desireable. I like the LaCrosse, but I would change quite a few things. The front is one of my biggest gripes. I still think when one is coming up behind me (not that I see many on the road at all--I still can count the number I've seen on both hands), in the dark with only the headlights blaring, that it is a previous generation Sonata, and that's nothing to write home about. Also, why can't we get some more colors for the exterior? I mean, the addition of like 1 color was nice, along with the change of names of just a few colors (I think the shade of beige and gray were changed), just won't do it. I mean, maybe I'm not in the majority, but I'd like to see a green version of the car be offered. I like the Deep Sapphire, love the slatestone (which would probably be the version I'd buy depending on how I like it in person), but we need more. Center stack needs to be updated. I can't imagine that with the refresh GM wouldn't throw their new radio and possibly climate controls inside the LaCrosse. It'd eat up some of the dead space and create a nicer interior, IMO.
  8. God, that changes the look of the front SO much. Now, as long as they ditch the little bug-eyed lights when they refresh with the new grille.
  9. FOG, I have to say... it's incredible--your writing is so recognizable--I read your psot but didn't see who had written it at first, and I said, "Only one man gets this irate over an article bashing GM's cars' flaws... FOG." :) I'm proud to have you on our side man--the media does a great job at making anything seem like crud in just a few words.
  10. Okay, I REALLY like this. I'm dying to see and know more about it. However, I'm kinda bummed we have to wait until late `07 for this... was hoping to see it next summer.
  11. It's like 15 minutes into the show... you just have to sit and be patient. Wish you could control fastforwarding or rewinding.
  12. I'm confused now. Cause yeah, the rims look big. Yeah, the car looks more muscular. But that sure as hell isn't a Velite-inspired grille on the car. Still looks like an improvement though.
  13. Oh My God I'm such an ass! LOL
  14. I'd really love to see some pics and get some specs, but I imagine we won't see anything for a while. Maybe we'll see something at an auto show?
  15. Hmmmm... if it's a Cobalt-inspired Ferrari, does the interior suffer from that hard-plastic?
  16. Did you happen to notice if the center stack got any sort of change?
  17. Empowah, I am so not a fan of Jaguar's looks. That's one of the problems I have with the headlight treatment of the LaCrosse. However, I can imagine that if this is real, it's going to look better than that.
  18. Fly--you hit the nail on the head. I could actually imagine hearing LR (not a damn one I would ever buy), use that.
  19. Thank you God! So... we can expect a refreshed exterior with a better looking nose, 6A and an available hi-po V8 engine for 2007. Now that should drum up some interest.
  20. I really like Limited -- Super. No. Reserve? No. Diamond series? Maybe. Platinum? Yes. Gimme different trim levels based on metals and jewels.. would love it. Platinum, diamond, gold, etc. That sounds kinda cool to me. So, anyway, I noticed the grille isn't chrome, but rather body-colored. If GM is indeed producing this high po LaCrosse with a sporty edge, a body-colored grille seems right up their alley--as they did with the Regal.
  21. I doubt that since Buick went the extra lengths to phase out the "Ultra" name when it got rid of the PA Ultra and then the Rendezvous Ultra was just renamed the CXL Plus.
  22. Did the exterior look refreshed in any way? I mean, was the grille the same or did it take on more like the Lucerne's Velite-inspired grille?

    Not happy

Don't get me wrong... I'm more a Lucerne CXS type than a LaCrosse CX man. I prefer a sporty-luxury sedan. I would go a little sportier than the Lucerne CXS, but that doesn't exist for Buick. As for my Century, well, even that is too bland for me!
  24. I don't know why--why at all, I like the Bel-Air dash. It's SO against what I like about dashes, yet I like it. And I hate horizontal speedometers--and retro-looking big-ass numbers... and I love it in this dash. Weird.
  25. I'm not saying anything until I see some better pictures.
