These are all really good additions... I just test drove a Regal Turbo with the T7 package and even got it down to the payments I wanted but buying it in the middle of my move just wasn't feasible. The two things that really got to me though were the lack of remote start and the push button start. I don't really want/need push button start, but if I'm going to spend 34K on a car, I definitely want the remote start and the option of the keyless would be nice. I really think this is a great vehicle and these little improvements are going to help a ton. The new ports will keep it in the family too, and I really want to test the GS before I buy anything. I'm guessing the GS is going to be sweet. And I completely agree with you on the remote start... I absolutely must have it on my next vehicle.

LOVED the Roadmaster. Always wished they kept it and could see what it evolved into today.

Mercedes-Benz Ponders On Whether To Bring The Vito To The US
Paolino replied to William Maley's topic in Mercedes-Benz
Yes and then Lexus would add something pointless to it so they could coin "First ever..." -
Is that backwards? Do they mean the new 2013 Malibu and 2012 Impala? 2011 is the last year for the current Malibu. 2012 is the last year for the current Impala (it's getting the 300hp V6 for 2012 remember?) 2012 is the first model year of the new Malibu going into production very very soon. I thought it was getting the 302hp V6 for 2012, and isn't new until 2014? Aren't they talking model years and not actual years?

Mercedes-Benz Ponders On Whether To Bring The Vito To The US
Paolino replied to William Maley's topic in Mercedes-Benz
They'd probably appear slightly different here. You see all kinds of Mercedes vehicles like that in Europe... it's not just a luxury brand there. BLASPHEMER! I still remember the Mercedes "cab" that took me from the airport to my hotel in Rome at Mach I. If it had wings we would have flown. -

Not cool, I don't like it at all. It looks like a large hatch to me. They'd have to Buick the hell out of it for me to accept it.

I don't know Latin, but knowing French, Italian and Spanish, I'm concerned with "ad". That generally means "to/at", not "without". I'd bet it would be: sine. My Latin is not acceptable... but just a few comments... I think his translation of 'without end' is coming from 'infinitum', not 'ad infinitum'... if you subbed in the 'sine', you'd have to remove the 'in'.... 'sine finitum'. But I am awful at this. Ah, interesting. Well, if you decide you'd like it in Italian or Spanish, send me a message LOL

Interesting. So from a performance standpoint, how does it change the car's driving characteristics?
-
Why? That's not an option? Sorry, I don't know how this works... I thought maybe it was like some sort of computer programming that told the transmission where to shift or something.
-
So, let me see if I understand correctly.. this is a change that can be flashed onto 2011 models as well, no?
-
Honestly, 302hp on ALL trims caught me off guard. It's like GM finally said "let's have some fun."
-
Part of trying to move Buick up market. That's right, I don't really know luxury marques that have trim designations, they all function on packages.
-
Honestly, it makes little difference whether trims are there or not. They choose packages now instead of trims. If you wanted a LaCrosse with leather, rather than choosing a CXL to get it, you simply choose a LaCrosse with a certain package that includes leather. It's really not difficult.
-
Well, it appears the big changes are all trim designations gone (i.e., no more CX/CXL/CXS designations like we knew).. ... LaCrosse gets rid of the steel wheels, gets the new 3.6L (power not yet listed), but probably an increase in fuel economy, dual zone climate control standard on all models, eAssist available, DIC is color on all levels. ... Regal gets of course the GS model, eAssist model, new NAV, and electric power steering which will probably boost fuel economy a smidgen, remote start and keyless entry/push button start available. ... Enclave sees no major changes, just some color changes, badge deletion.

Send me your resume. I'll see what I can do.
-
Did you post that from your phone?
-
Well, I'd consider Buick slightly above your average brand, hence the term "premium brand". If Caddy can successfully position itself higher over a few years, which I don't see it having a problem doing, then there is room for Buick. Works well since Buick will need to stay successful as a "premium brand" and establish itself as such, if they wish to grow a little. With great success in their new vehicles, after several years they'd be able to either push the LaCrosse further upmarket (which is where I think they're going) or add a vehicle above that.

I have to hand it to GM/Buick... the first LaCrosse came out, saw none for almost 2 years. The Lucerne came out, saw a handful. The Enclave came out, saw TONS. The new LaCrosse came out, see tons on the road and it looks damn good. The Regal got a slow start around here but I'm starting to see them pop up on the roads as well. It's nice to see GM is getting it right and the public is responding.
