  1. HATE the gauge cluster.
  2. 2014 Grand Cherokee
  3. I'm not going to read the comments in this thread because honestly, I have a feeling it's going to get political and we're on a sensitive subject for me. I got a pack of chalk today. I was told it needs to last me the year. The copier worked and I didn't get punched and no one came to my class high, so all-in-all, a good day, even if I just did get home at 10PM.
  4. I'd like you to try: 2014 Corolla 2014 Impala 2014 Regal Turbo (not sure if it's out yet) 2014 LaCrosse (not sure if it's out yet, and I'm more interested in interior quality since my center console squeaks and feels somewhat cheap) 2014 Azera/Cadenza 2014 Avalon 2014 500/500L (just for $h! and giggles)
  5. Regarding a comment in the thread about the small armrest... if it's anything like mine, it is small. Mine moves fore and aft though... I keep it back only because when you move it forward, it exposes the greased track which can get on things if you're not careful.
  6. I'm not digging the Chevy's front... LOVE the interiors on both... and for the first time in my life, after looking at the Yukon Denali, I thought, "Hey, I could see myself in one of those."
  7. Make it light, have a quick, peppy, fuel-efficient engine, classy interior with a lot of available tech features and it will sell big.
  8. Yes Drew. I'm thinking if I remove the flash drive and erase it, then reinsert it so the car "indexes" a new, blank drive, when I recopy all the files it'll correct itself. It's just ridiculous it's not refreshing correctly (nor is there an option I can see to refresh it). All this said... I truly am a happy owner. I love this car. The 3.6L when spooled up is fun to drive.
  9. In the 2010-Present LaCrosse, the Door Unlock is on the center console. Holding unlock does not unlock the trunk as it did in the previous generation LaCrosse. I find it ridiculous there's no way to unlock the trunk from the inside of the car. If I have someone running to the car in the rain with their hands full, I have to get out of the car to open the trunk for them and get wet myself, OR shut the car off to use the fob (the trunk release doesn't work on the fob if the car is running). Why would GM make it impossible to open the trunk from inside the car while the car is running and parked? Secondly, I use a USB flash drive to store music and play back in the car. When I put the drive in, originally I had 40 folders. I removed the flash drive, added a soundtrack to the drive and put it back in the car. The car now doubled the number of folders while adding the new one as well.. it says I have 81 folders. What's even weirder... the new folder isn't in alphabetical order like all the others. It's just randomly showing up. I have added other songs to existing folders and added an additional folder since then, and now I show 82 folders, with the two newest ones being inserted randomly (not alphabetically). Anyone know how to rectify this? When I put the flash drive on my computer, it comes up alphabetically listed, and 42 folders like it should.
  10. Love everything but the name.
  11. I was never a fan for going the Super Luxury route yet... I feel it's a waste. I'd love to see Cadillac successfully fight a 7-series, A8, S-class. I don't think they have it in them just yet, but they're close. I feel that's where they should focus their attentions right now.
  12. I'm very mixed about this. I'm tired of the whole sharing of things. I understand doing it for one or two brands, but I feel like it gets abused at times which concerns me when we look at past history. Another problem is that Buick is getting this after the Equinox/Terrain have been out for a while... it's almost as though they're near the need for a change and Buick just got slightly dated material. I could be wrong, GM has been surprising me with healthy updates. Also, the name... Anthem? Not feeling it. The good new is, this is bound to be more attractive than the Encore... I have only seen a few of them on the road and I just can't get into them. They all have that "pregnant roller skate" look to them. The idea of an SUV/CUV that size to fit between the Encore and Enclave, good. Let's just hope it's done right. Powertrains need to be new. I don't want to see the 2.4L with eAssist as the base engine.
  13. I've watched a review on the Cruze diesel... I think this is an awesome step in the right direction for GM. Get some small diesels out there in your cars. You don't need to reinvent the wheel with all of your small DI engines, turbos, mixed with low resistance tires and start/stop this, active air shutters, etc. I feel that the diesel does better than the Cruze ECO with like half the tech (granted the ECO doesn't have start/stop tech). Not only does it do it well, it does it with a ton of torque.
  14. Not digging the new face. Upset they left the TGIFridays/Outbacks "your-table-is-ready" buzzer LED taillamps. Very upset they left the interior the way they did. Smartphone holders, good. The ridges in the dual cockpit look... no. The plood, no. Power improvements, good. Fuel economy, good... although I'm surprised with start/stop tech, they still didn't get higher from the city. And now the Malibu turbo has more torque than the 2014 Regal GS? Bad. EDIT: ... unless the numbers they gave for the 2014 Regal Turbo/GS were premature and it'll be like the Malibu, 259/295 instead of what they said originally for the Regal, 259/260.
  15. I wish I could see a cashmere interior with woodgrain. Wonder if this will get ambient lighting as well (as far as I know, the current doesn't have it). LOVE the update, inside and out.
  16. I have a question... if plood is plastic wood, what would you call the sprayed on wood-looking paint that was on the door switch panels in my 1994 Century? Underneath it was metal. Spray Wood? Sprood? Edit: Maybe it was a decal...
  17. I don't really care much for the LaX update. HATE the wheels. Prefer the current taillamps/chrome. Think the headlights are almost too gaudy from the refresh. Awaiting interior pics.
  18. Hey 'blu, been a very rough year. I'm here surviving. Hoping to get into the Verano soon as well
  19. I saw my first Encore on the road last week. Thought it looked horrendous.
  20. I never liked the new spindle grille and the "F-sport" thing is old already.
  21. Unless there is only one engine, like the G37 has just the V6. They could do the Q50 with the V6 for example, then the IPL trim has more power. Or maybe they do regular and turbo, like Sonata or Verano turbo options but same model name. So you have a Q50 and Q50 turbo. The G also has the 2.5L 4-cylinder....
  22. After putting about 1,500 miles on the Lucerne in the past week... I have some additional notes I'd like to add to my original review. They're not good. 2006 Buick Lucerne CXL, 3800 V6, 4A, 93,700 miles Pros: Quiet ride Very comfy seats Rainsense Fuel economy (new) Cons: Ridiculously shallow, almost useless cupholders Almost no storage cubbies in the car Brakes (I'll explain later) Material quality Seats (little support) 3800 passing power Okay, for the positives: The ride is quiet... holding a conversation is easy and pleasant. The only sound that grates on your nerves is the unrefined 3800 which is not getting any smoother with age. The seats really do feel like you're sitting on a pillow. Rainsense, with the intermittent torrential downpours, was a huge pleasure. Now, hold onto something when you read this... how is it possible (yet I did the math myself), I got 36.4mpg highway with 3 adults and a full trunk of luggage?! We filled up once on our way down (but barely touched that new tank of gas), and I believe it was about 650 miles one way. I feel like part of that was from only turning at 2,100rpms while going 80mph. Negatives... Seriously, you can't put two cups next to each other without them touching each other and pushing against each other outwards. The cupholders are very shallow, so cornering caused them to spill a few times. Storage... where is it? You have the glove box (which is small), the center armrest and the extremely shallow, almost pointless, pockets on the door, that whatever you put in there tends to fall out when opening/closing. Brakes... what exactly happened with them? By the end of the ride there, they were extremely rough, caused excessive vibration through the cabin/steering wheel, and they scraped loudly (not like they needed to be cleaned, but more like you were sanding them with very coarse sandpaper... you know, a real "premium" sound to hear). Apparently, according to my parents this happens whenever they take the car through any sort of hilly/small mountain driving. By the end of the week, the brakes returned to normal by themselves. WTF? The material quality in the car is just so subpar for the class. I know I picked on it before, but seriously, I feel like it was just barely a step above the early 2000 Buick's. Step inside the "newer" Buicks and you wouldn't even believe they are the same brand (thank God). The seats, while they are comfortable, provide almost no support to keep you in the seat when you're driving on turns in hills/mountains. And although they eventually put in the 3900 and there was the option of the Northstar, the 3800 really did feel winded when it came time to pass cars or play catchup when you're already doing 65 and need to hit 80, or if you needed to gain a bit of speed while going up a gentle grade. That's the update. The car is showing its age. It's not a horrible car, it's just no longer the great boulevard cruiser I originally thought it was.
  23. So, basically someone could own a Q50 and have either the big engine or small engine, and they can't boast about it with a model code... I mean, people know the main difference between a SL500 and an SL600. Same car basically, but we know the latter comes with a bigger engine and probably more tech. A lot of people who buy luxury cars like to boast... Infiniti's new naming scheme won't allow that.
  24. I'll be putting several hundreds of miles on the Lucerne starting Saturday. I'll let you know my updated impressions after spending a good deal of time with it again.
