  1. I dont really know. I dont buy it all that much but it is from memory fairly decent. I always get frozen pizza from my local meat market. It just seems like it is a cut above the rest in terms of quality.
  2. That might be the best choice to do in your situation. I talked with a co-worker about different things today and one thing I did remind her. We all make choices in life good or bad. Whatever they are we have to live with the consequences of those choices.
  3. I am not much for beer but I will have one of a nieghbor offers. If I run out of whiskey or rum then we have a problem. Or soda to mix said liquer with.
  4. When Mom and I moved last year I got rid of a lot of old stuff or even left stuff behind. The City said it was ok if we left stuff behind since the house was being destroyed anyway.
  5. I think everybody feels like that at some point. I do at times. My job is ok but I am not getting rich at it and now our owners sold it to another company so I dont know what is going to happen in 6 months or a year. I figure 6 months is about the time the changes will start. And I dont really know if I will like them or not. I have been there 9 years and 3 months so I dont want to throw that away. Women dont seem to like me that much either, I have struggled with that since the interest came. My Dad dying last year hasnt really helped matters much. But there are the positives. My vehicles are everything I have ever hoped for. Never in my life have I thought I would own a brand new car but here I am. And to own 2 nice 1980's classics in the shape mine are in. I live in a nice brand new house my Mom and Dad built when we all found of the city was tearing down the 106 year old one we had been in for 29 years. So I guess my advice to you is try to look at the positives of things. They are there even if you really have to look to see them.
  6. I have to tell everybody that buys Jacks, thank you all for helping support a local economy.
  7. It would be good to keep it origional. I am the same way with the 2 of mine. They are the same as they came from the factory. Though with as primitive as the controls are on these I wonder if the right person with the right know how could get an Edelbrock carburetor and vacuum advance distributer to actually run better and with less emissions than the factory setup. Or like I had said, I wonder if a throttle body fuel injection setup could be made to work with these? There seems to be little in the way of performace parts for these engines. Though I am sure what works for an Olds 350 could work for a 307 as well. Good luck in the work on this car. It should be a fun expeirience for the 2 of you.
  8. I dont really get into frozen pizza too much. If I get the need I do keep one or 2 that my local meat market makes. Theirs is pretty decent and not too expensive.
  9. Question, it is my understanding that the mixture isnt adjustable on these computer controlled carburetors. Is that correct? I could be wrong since I am not real mechanical. I was tempted once though to see what it would have taken to convert the Bonneville to some sort of fuel injection.
  10. Both mine have new catalytic converters too. When my Grandmother had the Bonneville it plugged up on her. Dad was just changing the Caprice as a maintenence thing. It doesnt seem like at least in my expeirience that check engines are much of a problem with these. The Bonneville will light once in the GREAT while if it is a mid idle but its rare. And you are right, mine too are for miles 117,00 for the Bonneville and 119,000 for the Caprice. Like you said enough use that they arent dryroted and that most of the things that go on these have been replaced. So they are good for a while again. Havent had to do anything with the carburetor with the Caprice, I think I can count on one had the times it ever stalled. The Bonneville is another story. Took 2 places and myself to get it rebuilt and running somewhat properly. I think there is a vacuum leak on that one but I have yet to really dig into it. People keep telling me I should get rid of the Bonneville since I now have the Caprice and the new Impala. I dont want to and if I do it someday it will be my choice not people telling me I have to. Again congrates on the car and I wish the 2 of you many trouble free miles of happy motoring.
  11. VERY NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. AS nice as the 2 B-bodies I have. Better than the Pontiac in a lot of ways. I hope the kid realizes what he has. At least you dont have winter salt to ruin them if you drive them. Neither of mine have moves in weeks due to the snow. Even a sunroof which it seems you dont see very often. And the Interstate battery!!! I dont think I have enough of a thread to be able to turn my air cleaner cover over and be able to bolt it down. How many miles are on it? And does everything seem to run well?
  12. So will you be using the 4x4 function?
  13. Going out for supper at The Main Event a local steakhouse/supperclub and from there I really dont know. Too bad I am not probably going to be doing anything with friends or better yet a woman. I couldnt get that lucky.
  14. I always envied the guy for being able to do things like that. In my life there wasnt a once where he was nervous about doing a driving act. He could parallel park and get it right every time no matter what the vehicle.
  15. I guess 10 inches of snow isnt such a big deal. Though we have gotten a lot of snow lately. Oh well I guess everyplace we could live has a downfall of one sort or another.
  16. So what is a quality truck in your opinion?
  17. So far so good. I notice it doesnt have the punch that it does in the lighter Pontiac G^ but it is still plenty fast.
  18. Like I said before, I have a few times but you just have to be careful. On the plus side if you do hit something chances are you will damage the other thing or car before you will damage a B-body. Sixty-Eight, you know what really separates the men from the boys? If you can parallel park a 40 foot bus. I cant do it but I watched my Dad do it a lot at bus rodeos. He never hit a cone either.
  19. Cool beans.
  20. My dealer took the Equinox even though it wasnt due to be turned in until March 16th. I got out of the last 2 payments and they rolled the 3rd in the Impala loan. I am told the dealer isnt usually interested in selling lease vehicles because GM wants too much for them. So they go to auction and get sold there.
  21. And they say GM cant make cars that last. Had a1984 Buick Park Avenue that had 260,000 miles a few years ago. It drove and rode really nicely yet too. A/C didnt work and the cruise control didnt work either. But everything else did.
  22. I liked the 2003 I tried a few years ago. Quiet, nice riding, powerful. I might have gotten one had the $ been there.
  23. I will take the Impala in about 1200 miles to get the oil changed for the first time. So far so good. It looks nice and clean and it hasnt burned any.
  24. Good luck getting over that. I thought I was getting that on Friday but I felt good on Saturday so that couldnt be. Maybe too much Christmas dinner at work.
  25. I guess to finish my story, we will be having a christmas doings here tommorrow and Sunday I will be going to visit relatives. I will get to take the Impala on its 1st road run. I am kind of excited to do that and see how it is. The 2002 Impala Mom and Dad had was very good on the road. This one should only be better.
