  1. Wouldnt want people to know that their Toyota isnt perfect. That would just be horrible and embarass them in front of their friends.
  2. I am seeing a little of that too. And my dealer had 4 of them at one time. Also dont see more than 3-4 at a time. The others models they sell they have larger numbers of them.
  3. GM4life, that is my one complaint about the Equinox too. Not quite the mileage I was hoping for when I leased it. I love it non the less. I get about 16-17 in town and 22-23 highway. It also though worked wonderfully in what is likely the worst winter storm northeast Wisconsin has had this year.
  4. Toyota buyers think they are smarter than GM buyers or other domestics. Wait until they need to pay for Toyota parts. Then they wont be so smart. And eventually Toyotas DO break too.
  5. Could be that he finally got smart and admited his own country can indeed build a good car.
  6. Given we are going to get about 12 inches of snow tommorrow we have to wait a bit longer before sping comes out and the B-bodies get driven. Right now they are safely tucked away out of harms way. I wonder what I will do with all this now. I already have a bank in front of my house that is almost as high as me. Lucky I dont have too the crap though like the old house.
  7. Not much for Asian food for the reason usonia stated. I like a little Mexican and Italian. Italian is my favorite. Though I am a over of the good old fasioned cheeseburger. I am also a fan of German sausages. Got to remember I am from northeast Wisconsin. So a little German has to be a part of it.
  8. Just what I would want (The Honda). A piece of tim foil to do my work in. I would choose the Caddillac too. Though when the lease is up on the Equinox I may look at an Aveo. Or a new Malibu. Or an HHR. Or maybe an Impala. Though I STILL plan to keep the other 2. I know I will never find two old cars in the shape mine are in though that 1977 Pontiac looks darn fine. $3500 for it? Hmmm. Makes me wonder what to 2 of mine are really worth. Dont know what they would even sell for.
  9. My aunt and uncle had a brand new 1978 Malibu. Silver outside with the red interior. They had a few things at the beginning with it but it ultimatly ran for them and the next owner for almost 20 years, I want so hard to like the new Malibu but every time I get in and out of it I hit some part of my body on a part of it. Not a problem with the Impala or even moms Aveo.
  10. I wish now they would test the 4-cylinder Malibu against the rest of its equals much like this test of the top end models. I may look at one of these but mine would have to be the 4-cylinder one.
  11. Better watch it. Next thing you know there will be more Olsmobile Cutlass Supremes appearing at your dorstep.
  12. How good though is the Pontiac 301 versus the Olds 307 thats in mine? Heard a few horrror stories about the 301. Still a beautiful car. Seems most people forget about the cars in the timeframe my two were made in. Its a shame because they are just as important to history as the 1950's and 1960's vehicles.
  13. My 1981 Bonneville isnt even that perfect. Very good but not that perfect. I wonder what is under the hood?
  14. Now now be nice to the Cutlass.
  15. Wish I had the 1979 Impala though I had to part with it. I am trying to avoid the same thing with the Bonneville. I am trying to be able to keep both the Caprice and Bonneville. Sometimes I think I wish I had the 2000 Monte Carlo. I did like that car. Good fuel mileage and spacious interior. But I have used the Equinox for a lot of things the others couldnt have did. I liked my 1981 Caprice 2-door but I would get one in better condition than that one was in.
  16. I stick with GM because that is what I am used to and what have given me the best service. I will not give my money to Japan,Korea,Germeny or whoever else makes cars. I wont contribute to our trade deficit. I am not a huge fan of Chrysler products after a few friends and family had them and they were trouble. My sisters famous Grand Caravan stranded her 3 times in 2 weeks. The Venture she got after that has had a couple of things but has never failed at its job. Never was much for Ford either. They seem to always be a half a step behind GM. When they do try to keep up the product usually is a problem child.
  17. Metal, Rock and Roll. Little country. 70s and 80's mainstream. Some 90's. Before mainstream became about going to the clubs and gettong the hooos.
  18. No doubt they did an excellent job on the new Malibu. It looks beautiful and the quality control is VERY good. Not to mention being willing to go out on a limb with some of the interior choices. But if I am going to inadvertently hit my head or some other part when getting in or out of it then that kind of spoils the whole thing. I would like to drive one and have it for a day. Maybe I could get more used to it. But for now the Impala just fits me better. Like I said so does the Aveo believe it or not. The Cobalt does if the seat is all the way down. Otherwise I hit my head there too. Chevrolet as a whole though has come a long way these past few years.
  19. I have quite often looked at the 2 B-bodies and wondered what all the hoses were for. Seems the schematics in the repair manuals show only about half of it. Was tempted when I was having the trouble with the carburetor on the Bonneville to just take it ALL out and start over. Maybe holley fuel injection. But they were able to make it work pretty well so I never pursued that. The Caprice runs very well so I never thought about it for that.
  20. I sat in both the Malibu and Impala today along with other ones. I want so much to like the new Malibu but I just cant seem to get in it without hitting some part of my body. My head or my side. Plus it does feel tighter than the Impala which to me fits like a comfortable old pair of shoes if you catch what I am trying to say. The Aveo believe it or not fits me like the Impala does. The Cobalt is ok as long as the seat is down. The HHR is pretty good. Might look at one of those in a year or year and a half when it comes time to shop.
  21. I am the same way most of the time. Since my dad died I have had to accept people helping me to get my new house organized and things the way we want them. That has been hard.
  22. It looks good Cort. Really good considering it is out in the elements all the time. I dont know that the Bonneville would fare as well if you tried that with it. Even the Caprice. Though that thing slides all over on snow. I would never want to deal with that in snow. The Equinox deals with snow well and shouldnt rust out.
  23. True but I would rather have my dad here. But that isnt within my power so I guess I will just enjoy the car.
  24. I got the Bonneville for $115. The Caprice for $0. Well the price of the Caprice was my Dad. So thats a pretty high price if you ask me.
  25. The Equinox and Aveo are full of it. I have to get them washed if we can ever get more then 2 days without snow. I did clean the Bonneville after its little foray into snow earlier this year.
