Thats almost a carbon copy of my 1979 though that was an Impala. That price sounds more reasonable though you'll have to see whats wrong with it. Like I said, I myself dont have a problem with my 2 being sedans. And I am single and probably forever at the rate I am going. Good luck.

I have a dumb question for the Republican lovers. The Republicans are supposed to be conservatives and save money and be the do gooders for this country. They are supposed to be such wonderful leaders and know how to interact with the foreighn countrys. They are against the so-called Democrats idea of Tax and Spend. Why then do we have a higher deficit than any other time in history. Kind of funny since Clinton left with no deficit at all. But remember he was a so-called Tax and Spend liberal. Bush and his buddies back in 2003 got us involved in a war that has cost this country billions. Excuse me if I am wrong but doesnt my tax money help fund this war? If thats true than he Taxed me and spend my money for a war with questionable motives. Think about all of this. Not saying I am right but just think.

Thats what happens when one eats too much fiber.

Thats a good thought too if you can be into trucks also. That doesnt seem to be the case though. Are there any of the Caprices Brothers and sisters for sale? The Buick LeSabre, The Oldsmobile Delta 88, The Pontiac Parisianne/1981 and older Bonneville-Catalina? Maybe the 1984 and earlier Olds 98 or Buick Park Avenue/Electra? These can be found in 2-door form if thats super important to you.

Sorry for your loss. I can certainly relate to you and growing up with Dad. My Dad too was THE law when I was growing up. Some of it was extreme but leter on things got better and in the last few years we too did a lot of things together. My love of B-bodies comes from my dad. Or most anything GM as far as that goes. My dad understood that the only way to get ahead was through work. My dad died June 7th 2007, about 2 months and 7 days before him and Mom and I were to move into our new house that was being built since the old one was going to be torn down. His death was pretty sudden within 2 weeks. Its bean over a year and myself and my sister think about it each and every day. Good luck to you and your family.

I always liked the burgundy color in those year cars. Or the navy blue in Corts 1987 and my 1985.

For me it would be easy. one of the 2 newer Monte Carlos. But alas you dont really like FWD. Pass on the 1978. You said it is too nice to be used for winter and that price seems very high. It would have to be in PERFECT shape. Making it a non-winter beater. Vinyl tops dont bother me since both of mine have them. I dont like Vinyl seats either though. The 1989 Caprice. Where are the leaks located? The noise you are hearing could be as simple as a bad climate control blower motor. A trip to the autoparts store, about $20 and a half hour of time would fix that. Did it on 2 of my B-bodies. For a beater it sounds good as long as it runs good. Remember it doesnt have to look perfect. How many miles are on it? 1987 ElCamino. Would definatly have to put some weight in the back end otherwise it could be pretty light in the snow. something about that picture doesnt add up. The fact you couldnt test drive it. If it needs a heater core that wouldnt be the end of the world. Remember, on these cars the heater core is under the hood, not buried under the dash like most cars. But it sounds like it may need work. Again, how many miles and what motor? Washer pump isnt really bad to replace. I did a few of those. They dont seem to last long on these in my expierience. Both mine have been replaced. 2007 Dodge Charger. I still dont trust Dodge after the few various family members have had. Plus buying it at a Hyundai dealer makes me wonder " Why did the owner trade it"? Plus if something is wrong a Hyundai dealer isnt really going to know how to fix it. My sister went through that with her Dodge minivan before she gave up and traded it for a Venture. She has never looked back. I would try not to worry about the car being a sedan. I dont, and I have always been single. You might find that you like not having those long heavy doors to deal with. A Caprice is still cool no matter if its a 4-door or a 2-door. If you want my opinion, try the 1989 again, when you hear that noise, change blower motor settings. If the noise changes then thats all it is. Depending on where the water leaks are a cauking gun may be your best friend. Fixed the trunk leaks on the Bonneville that way. Temperary fix but it does work. Good luck to you and let us know what comes of this.

That is certainly good news.

I usually dont like Coke but Coke Zero is pretty good with Canadian Mist. I forgot to mention before I dont drink beer by choice. Only if offered or its free at a party. I am a whiskey lover mainly though I do like Bicardi rum and once in the while a Screwdriver. Bicardi 151 is good if done right but it messes a person up pretty fast.

Obama victory expected to help unions, auto companies
2005 EquinoxLS replied to Oracle of Delphi's topic in Industry News
At least Obama mentions trying to do something to help our economy through the automakers. Bush and McCain dont even talk about it. I guess when you are rich like Bush is from big oil you dont need to worry. And own multiple houses like McCain does you dont need to worry either. I agree the executives could cut back and not ruin their precious rich lives. -

I already pay over 50 cents on a gllon of gas tax. I dont need more. I am with Camino,Sixty-8, and the rest opposed to this. Once again the poor would be affected more than the rich. Another way for the govt to tell me what I can drive or not. Once I turn my Equinox in next March I will have just the 1981 and 1985. I may not be able to afford to purchase for a while. I should be penalized just because I cant afford a new fuel efficient car? I dont think so. Tax the ones making the big money. -
Jim Beam and Diet Pepsi are the drink of choice for me lately. But only at a neighborhood party where I dont have to drive.

Coolest GM car you've seen all week?
2005 EquinoxLS replied to A Horse With No Name's topic in The Lounge
Not a lot since here in Wisconsin too winter is on its way. I washed the 2 and just have to wax them. If I know we are going to get something where it will snow I will top off the tanks, put 2 bottles of Iso-Heet and I think 10 ounces of Sta-Bil in the gas, really clean them up and park them. -
Congrats to Obama. Maybe something can now be done about the funk this country is in. The Bush administration doesnt seem to care and I didnt get the feeling McCain would have either. The people have spoken. They are sick of what the Republicans have done to this country.

Or the Navy Blue of mine. Or the almost white with the dark brown dash of the 1981 Bonneville. Though the grey is nice in the Equinox. Seems to me that black is making a comeback at Chevrolet.

At last Bush will be gone!!!!!!! Thats the single most greatest thing about this whole deal. I think the whole Bush family is out of our government or will be after January. Good riddence.

How many of you are in an alternative lifestyle?
2005 EquinoxLS replied to Drew Dowdell's topic in The Lounge
2 of ours have Windows Vista and 2 have windows XP. One of the Vista ones is a laptop the other an Acer desktop. The first Compaq bought on 2001 and the second Compaq bought in December of 2002 are the XP ones. Only trouble the Acer has is 2 times it has given me the blue screen. Very occassionally it locks up too. -
Got mine changed. At least the ones that needed me to change them. I must have 20 clocks in this house.

Maybe somedy I shall get nother 1977-79 Impala. I have a strange liking for the interiors of these. All vinyl door panels but yet they look elegent enough. But since I already have 2 of these I guess I should think outside the box. Often thought a 1978-80 Malibu would be cool. I actually prefer the 4-door to the coupe. Maybe a wagon would be cool. My Aunt and Uncle had a 1978 Grey with the maroon interior. Remember when interiors had colors? I rode in it a lot and liked it.

Trying to picture if the emblem on those is different than the 1985. I shall have to cheack Ebay. They always have one or 2 on there. So what about sandwaiches Cort?

I dont quite drink that much alcohal in a year. So dont really know. I probably drink about a gallon and a half of water a day. Filtered Ice water is good stuff.

Nope. Just about those of us in the single life and whar we go through. Especially when you dont quite fit into what most women want. I party after work did nothing for me but affirm that.
